50 Bloodline Forge

The Emperor and the Crown Prince didn't stay long after seeing the Phoenix egg. They felt quite humbled, especially since Xiao Long could casually explain the process of rebirth of their God.

The whole 'I just stuffed the soul into the egg' thing was the last straw for the noble and dominant Divine Phoenix Empire.

After the pair left a few days later, Qu Fengyi left as well. The Sovereign of the Seas could only stay away for so long, so she left after taking a few more pills from her Grandson.

Feng Xue'er hummed to herself as she enjoyed her new life in Floating Cloud Sect.

She doesn't need to be separated and kept away in Phoenix Perching Valley anymore!

Nope, the Princess is now living in a big manor with her big sister and her future husband. Yep, not only that, but Young Master is pampering her, from getting a bunch of sweets to making snow on the whole floating island!

Today she arrived at Feng Island, where her fellow Feng Clan members are staying.

Everyone is extremely respectful to her, even when she asks to be as casual as possible. Regardless, she will learn the remaining two stages which were missing from her Inheritance.

"Princess, here they are."

As the quartermaster gave it to her, the princess nodded before walking out from the Contribution Hall.

'As big sis said, I need to be in top shape not to embarrass Young Master.'

The girl swiftly flew over and landed in the cultivation area on Feng Island.

Without wasting more time, she proceeded to read the copy of the fifth and sixth stages.

The moment she read through it, she felt deja vu, and at that moment, her blood surged, and Phoenix Flames erupted from her.

She is forming a sphere-like cocoon from flames. Moments later, she has fallen into a deep sleep.

The black-haired Lady Xiao rushed over to Feng Island when she heard that Princess Feng Xue'er had turned into a flaming cocoon.

"H-Husband, what happened!?" The girl landed and walked over to her husband's side as he was already there. The pair gazed at the flaming sphere in front of them. It was quite hot, and the whole cultivation area was in flames; barriers were making sure it was not getting out of control.

"She took the fifth and sixth stages of her art. This caused a reaction from her dormant Phoenix soul and her bloodline. The previous metamorphosis was only semi-complete. Now her Phoenix soul should become semi-awake, and her cultivation should surge."

The beauty nodded to his words.

'Heavens, just how much Phoenix blood was she stuffed with? Her cultivation at 13 was already mid stage throne!'

"To help her further, I will take her to the Fire fields."

Xia Qingyue nodded at that. That should help. That place is full of Fire Profound energy, and it's close to the Fire orb her husband has stored.

"Are you planning to transfer that place to Feng Island? They are the Fire Hall of the Sect." She asked him curiously.

"Not necessary, Yue'er. We have three bridges connecting the islands. I will simply improve one of the bridges to allow the flow of Fire Profound Energy into the island."

"Oh, I see."

After this, her husband enclosed Feng Xue'er in barrier walls, similar to how she was enclosed when she was learning the Ice Phoenix God Investiture Canon.

According to her husband, it will most likely take a year or even more for Feng Xue'er to finish whatever she is doing. After all, the girl doesn't have a special physique which could accelerate her learning speed.

Honestly, Xia Qingyue was shocked to learn from the redhead maid from the Realm of Gods, that she has a special physique!

Yes! Realm of Gods! This made her smile quite a bit. Finally, she will be able to go there! Her choice was right all those years ago.

Staying with Xiao Long and becoming his wife. It was the best choice she had ever made.

She doesn't even need to go anywhere, the whole island will eventually go to the Heavens. This was what her husband said.

Eventually, their Sect will control the whole Star, and once they do that, they will travel to another and another until their Sect is the most dominant thing in the whole Realm of Gods.

And since her Husband said so, it will be so.

"Yue'er, you can return to the manor. I still have to finish the upgrades to the Profound Energy Gathering Formation. Once I am done, I will return home."

"Un, Husband, I will wait for you at home."

'Yes, another beautiful day~.' The beauty hummed to herself how good her life was at this moment.

A few more months have passed, and the upgrades for the Cultivation Tower, Seven Floor Pagoda, and Profound Energy Gathering Arrays have been done.

No more aimless profound energy leaking outside the islands,

to make this work, I installed the Profound Computers or, more precisely, as people around here call them, Array and Formation Cores.

Based on how I built the Pill Readers' I created a similar version for the arrays for those; I used weaker cores, simple [Earth Profound] were enough to program to cast invisible roads and pathways to control the flow of energies.

This means that Cultivation Tower has around 400% more Profound energy than the outside. The sect itself has around a 200% boost compared to the outside world.

The place was so thick with profound energy that people said they were getting dizzy just from being in the cultivation tower area. Something akin and similar to what people experience when they get too much oxygen in their bodies

However, this was not the best part, as this huge amount came from us being the Profound Sky Continent. This will work even better when they are in the Realm of Gods, where Profound energy is in abundance.

Even the pair of Crown Princesses were impressed by the thickness of Profound Energy. They understood what this means once we reach the Realm of Gods.

It's always beautiful to watch how a pair of privileged girls get blown away by what I consider a regular array.

'This reminds me of second or third-generation rich girls who get exposed to some unheard stuff.

Now that I think about it, they are like them.'

Apart from this stuff, I proceeded to work on my latest and most important project.

The Bloodline Forge.

For this, I used another [Emperor Profound] core. After refining and making it into Array Core, I proceeded to start adding the command tablet.

To make it simpler, I created a pedestal where I could project the core's insides. It's something I showed to maid Ying'er before.

This pedestal is to make it easier to build the command tablet and send it into the core.

So, I spent around a month with all the command tablets. Once it was almost complete, I proceeded to make the room where this forge would be.

And for that, I decided to make a basement right under my warehouse.

It didn't take long to make the room and solidify the walls. Once the foundation was laid, I proceeded to lay down the formation and the core array.

What it will do is simple yet extremely power-consuming. It would enlarge the blood and locate the specific 'attribute', and cut it out. It bypasses all unnecessary parts.

Something like the Chimaera from the myths, where the monster is made from different parts of animals. My idea is to make the bloodline from all the attributes I can find.

Starting with Phoenix fire affinity and rebirth, Brahma's power and control over Profound Energy, and Slaughter God's ability to Slaughter via bypassing Profound Energy.

So I started with Phoenix blood, the blood I have the most. I still have a whole bucket of that blood  stored away.

The first try was a failure, as the blood simply evaporated, and there was nothing to anchor it.

This made me think of ways to hold it down, so the first upgrade was an anvil-like structure in the middle of the room. The middle section was slightly elevated, and four needle-like rods from the corner of the ceiling were pointing at the anvil-like structure.

These add-ons will hold the drop of blood in place while the splicing happens.

However, after the second test, another issue appeared. The attributes simply CAN'T exist without some sort of support as it's part of a natural power of a specific Divine Beast or God.

In other words, after splicing was done, the remaining blood directly evaporated.

"Hmm, apart from that, the amount of Profound Energy in the air has dropped considerably," I said with a frown.

"First, the alterations, then fix the power issue."

With new tasks at hand, I proceeded to return to my work.

To stabilise the power, the fix is quite simple. I just need some sort of medium or an intermediate.

Thinking for a bit, what kind of mediums exist in Primal Chaos? A few flashbacks appeared in my head, Yun Che's tattoo, Contracted Beast's tattoos

'A tattoo?'

'Hoh…this could work…'

I ended up installing another needle right above the anvil, pointing downwards. Unlike the four needles from the corners, which are needed for stability, this one was to create the tattoo.

"And done. Now to make some more waterfalls."

"So when running water falls from the mountain, the force behind the fall gets absorbed and then transformed into Profound Energy.

"But since it was falling, it will continue to fall, and once again, another array will catch more of this generated energy. Rinse and repeat thousands and millions of times.

"The Profound Energy generated from this will empower the arrays to continue to exist and, if necessary, generate more water, and this will continue for eternity.

"What a preposterous idea to make more Profound Energy." She said with an unreadable frown. Though it quickly disappeared as she was trying to make sense of this.

For example, she could have thousands of waterfalls built all over the place and make them generate profound energy in one spot. She then could cultivate in that place for several years, and most likely, she could return to her previous cultivation, maybe even higher

'But why does it feel so cheap? There is nothing profound about this at all. It's so simple and easy.'

The blonde realised that Xiao Long had made cultivation cheap.

In doing so, she felt that her existence has been lessened as well.

'What an ugly thought. If this is so, then everyone can become Gods and Goddesses.'

Qianye Ying'er got up from the boulder and flew away after watching how Xiao Long turned the west side of the mountain into a waterfall. He added this to the already existing water hole where the cultivation tower exists.

So it turned into a double waterfall. Beautiful to look at, but for the blonde, it means something else. It means cheapening the Profound or, more precisely, it makes her feel cheaper.

A few short months later, the pair of islands were finally fully upgraded, and the flow of Profound Energy into Bloodline Forge was complete.

To make it always usable, I decided to make the excess energy compress and turn into purple-veined crystals. This would work like a stock of supplies. Same with the Phoenix Trials, which are now always on.

Apart from that, it was time to finally get some tattoos!

I prepared three drops of blood from the Phoenix, the Slaughter God and the Brahma God.

So once the preparations were done, I placed the Array core into the side of the anvil, and the room lit.

Once the room powered up, I placed the Phoenix blood into the array. I held the blood in a cube made of barrier walls.

The moment the cube was in the array, the cube walls dissolved, and the blood inside of the array started to react to the influence of the formation.

It was shredded, and something akin to the liquid essence remained.

Slowly I lifted my left hand and placed it just below the sphere barrier. The essence started to drop, and it started to merge with my hand.

A few strokes of tribal-like slash were tattooed into my skin.

Smoke started to rise from my hand as it burned into my very being.

The pain started to manifest as I could feel the carving on my hand.

It was like a slow version of a printer.

Eventually, it was over, and I pulled my twitching hand away.

"Huh? It disappeared!?"

Some panic appeared on my face. Did I feel all that for nothing!?

At that moment, I called for my cultivation base, and the tribal markings reappeared on my hand, and I could feel 'new' powers!

'Hoh… so the potency of this power depends on the potency of my blood. So it is like an add-on to my existing blood.

This gives me so much growth potential!'

Moments later, flames erupted from my hand.

*Ding*

{[Profound Fire] art has evolved into [Cleansing Fire] art}

The flames which I called forth were quite soft and felt pure. At the same time, there was potency behind them like they could burn people away anyway.

'This is good. It appears it doesn't register as Phoenix Fire.'

To test this further, I went upstairs to the warehouse and then outside. A few short minutes later, I was in front of the Phoenix egg.

'Nothing. No reaction from the tattoo.'

This was good. One of the reasons why I never bothered with God's bloodlines is that they carry baggage.

Easy power-up means an easy way to deal with it.

Once the Phoenix hatches, I can seal away the entirety of the Divine Phoenix Empire's power. With a snap of my fingers, no less.

So no. Easy power boosts like that are a nope.

After inspecting the egg and adjusting to the tattoo, it was time for the other two blood drops I had.

First was the Slaughter God, and a few more tribal strokes manifested on my left hand. By this point, most of the front of my hand had tattoos, from the elbow to the wrist.

Thankfully the tattoos are black and not multicoloured.

When I activated this tattoo, I felt how my Profound energy turned sharp, like the edges of a saw, and I could just cut things easily apart.

'No wonder people were afraid of Xing Tong even if her cultivation was not peak [Divine Master].'

Wait, isn't she an expert at hiding as well?

Mix those two, and she is a big threat.

After feeling her power, I do have renewed respect for THE Slaughter God, but not for the Star God Realm people. Nah, those are still second-third-generation privileged people who are coasting on the achievements of their ancestors.

Then, of course, it was time for the last tattoo. For this, I showed the back of my left hand, and the process started.

Qianye Ying'er blood got spliced, and the essence started to get carved into my hand.

*Hiss*

'Oh crap, I don't think I will get used to this anytime soon.'

After another medium-length slow printing-like and quite a painful session, it was done.

*Phew!*

To test out and call forth the new power.

'Hoh… now this is….'

Then I called forth Slaughter power.

*Whistle*

'From a hand saw to an electrical saw! Now that's what I call an upgrade!'

"Now, I need to find some prey."

The trio of battle maids scrambled after their Young Master as they sensed movement.

His Monarch Bodyguards were summoned, so they swiftly followed right after them.

'Does this place even have Profound Beasts?' Xing Tong thought to herself as she looked at the snowy expenses in front of her.

They entered this region several days ago. It has been snowing all the time, and it looks barren.

It appears the pair of battle maids and some of the maids are from this place.

So the Young Master allowed them to lead the way towards Profound Beasts.

'If only I had my Divine Sense, I could bring him to them instead of this aimless flying around.'

The redhead sighed to herself as they continued to fly.

Eventually, they arrived at a place where more potent Ice Profound Energy was located. So, Profound Beasts started to appear.

Then Xing Tong saw it.

Xiao Long brushed his finger horizontally, creating a line of familiar profound energy; with a burst of motion of his finger, a sharp blast of energy was released from this horizontal line.

This blast cut a Profound Beast in half instantly !

"Y-Y-You, how can you use Slaughter God Powers!?"

"I used your blood to make myself a legacy." He casually said that as they started to descend to the ground.

"B-B-But how!? To even use basic power, you need to have compatibility!" Her world once again got turned around on its head.

"Hmm? I didn't take 'the whole' legacy. I have no interest in the entire Star God's legacy. I like the Slaughter power, so I took it and made it my own."

"You make no sense! It's not how it works!"

"Now it does. Watch! Brahma power and Star God Slaughter!"

Once again, he brushed his finger and left behind a golden black line. This time upon release, he cut everything in its path.

The beasts in the distance, and even the mountain. Everything was cut down.

Xing Tong looked at this, dazed.

'What is this… how can the few drops I gave him cause him to gain such power! It's like he inherited the legacy and not me!!!'

"Hmm, very nice. Xue'er, Li'er collect the beasts and the cores."

"Y-Yes, Young Master."

The pair of battle maids proceeded to collect the Profound Beasts and the Profound Cores. While Xing Tong was looking at Xiao Long as if he was a freak of nature.

Again.
