Average Young Master Meeting the Princess

Cang Yue knew very well that she would end up as some sort of bargaining chip. That's what Imperial Princesses are for.

She was extremely reluctant when Fen Juecheng, the Heaven Burning Clan's Young Master, tried to pursue her. 

The official reason for her Royal Father's reluctance to accept is that she doesn't want one of the Four Great Sects to get into the Royal Family.

And for the personal reason that she simply doesn't like him.

However, this situation is very different. Sacred Grounds are simply the stuff of legends for Blue Wind Empire. Her being around the Young Master of one is an Honour…

And mostly because she can ask for their help to deal with things plaguing her family.

Once the talking was done, Cang Yue followed the Clan Leader into the interior of the Clan.

It was time for her to meet Xiao Long in person.

What she didn't expect was a mountain of Profound Beast's corpses, glowing buildings and maids working like they are butchers…

And of course… their cultivation being absurdly high…

"Long'er, take a break for a short moment."

"...Hmm? Alright, it appears we have a guest." 

The Blue Wind Empire's Princess looked at him. For a second she gulped… for a couple of reasons…

For one, it was his disposition. He was nothing like Feng Juecheng who was demanding for the world to spin around him.

No, this one… it felt like he IS making the world spin around him and he doesn't even notice it…

And of course the most obvious thing about him… his cultivation…

She never sensed anything like this from someone his age…

"Long'er meet Cang Yue, The Blue Wind Imperial Princess."

"Oh? I see… so it's the famous Blue Moon Princess. Even at a backwater place like this, I have heard about you."

The Princess started to blush. He sounded as if it was a big deal… The guy was engaged to Princess Snow, widely acknowledged as the most beautiful woman.

Not to mention rumours about him having Chu Yuechan, the Fairy of Frozen Beauty, other Frozen Cloud fairies and married to an extremely beautiful woman as well…

She doubts her beauty is anywhere near those exquisite women. At the very least, she hopes she is good enough for him to do something about the issues in her family…

"...Please, Young Master Xiao, It's a 'title' locals came up with for me. It's nowhere near as famous as yours or the women who are in your services."

Cang Yue for a second had cold feet when she heard that.

"Princess, follow me. Let's talk about this in a more appropriate place." After saying that, he looked at his maids.

"Ladies proceed with your work. I have things to attend to."

"Yes, Young Master!"

My gaze went to Cang Yue who followed me as we entered my warehouse. The Princess gazed around at the things she saw inside my workplace.

New people all have that look when they see the interior.

It's quite a pleasant sight, the sheer awe they have as they look at the mountain of pills.

"Your Royal Father is quite devious. No wonder he is the Emperor. He pledges his allegiance to Xiao Clan and pays his tribute by giving you to me. 

"This leaves me in a tight spot, as now I have to fix the issues your family is experiencing."

I said with a sigh.

The Princess blushed from embarrassment, while fiddling with her white robes.

She looks very pure and beautiful dressed in pure white, and her assets are emphasised by her right robes.

No wonder Yun Che locked on her the moment he saw her.

The guy is borderline Issei of ATG… he sees boobs and goes after them. Not even lolis were spared, as a doctor he knew how their bodies would grow… 

"...I apologise if my family made you feel this way…if there is a way, I will repay you for your efforts." She said with a sincere tone.

The good thing about Cang Yue is that she is a pure Princess who is a housewife material. Even better at this than my Qingyue. 

Since Cang Yue doesn't want power or anything like that.

"Hmm, since you are mine according to your Royal Father, I will find a way to incorporate you into the fold."

"...Yes… please…" She nodded with a respectful bow.

"Good. First, let me check your Profound Veins."

As I said that, I went over and scanned her up. For a second I frowned because the girl had better talent than I had originally and she is supposed to be the earliest arc waifu… 

This just made me annoyed…

"Twelve Profound Entrances. Not bad for a Princess who doesn't want to cultivate."

"...I apologise for lack of Profound Strength, I could do other things…"

I snorted after hearing that.

"Don't worry, you have better talent than I had originally. So it's already good for me."

My words made her look at me in disbelief.

"Indeed. You have one more Profound Entrancthanen I did originally. Regardless, these things don't matter anymore."

As I said that, I motioned for her to give me her hand.

"Now let's go. We are going to figure out your talent."

"Talent?"

"Yes, talent. It's an Artefact which scans Profound Energy and figures out what is your natural gift."

With a nod, she gave me her hand. With a small smile, I pulled her slightly closer. 

And then proceeded to walk towards the Talent Awakening Grounds.

As we were walking, I could feel how embarrassed the Princess was with such close contact.

It's quite amusing because she has her 'bodyguard' who is several metres behind us. Pretending to look like he doesn't even exist while at the same time pretending to protect her.

Sometimes, being a bodyguard in a cultivation world is the most difficult job. Especially for bodyguards from such a weak country.

"Tell me Cang Yue, what is YOUR objective? You don't look like someone who cares about strength. I know some of my women came to me for that power, as they have greater goals which they need greater power for.

"As a Young Master, I can fulfil their desires, and they don't mind giving themselves to me for that. Just look at Frozen Cloud, they now belong to me." 

Still hard to believe they did that… honestly…Mu Bingyun is the greatest wing woman of them all… prophesy something out and the whole place will follow you with fervour believing that you are the chosen one.

For that alone I will heal her for free when I see her, if she is still poisoned. I don't even know what is going on in this cultivation world.

"...This… I only wish for my family to live on… my Royal Father is sick and he doesn't have much time left. I want to fulfil his dream of making the Blue Wind Imperial family reach a high ranking in the Blue Wind Ranking Tournament."

Hearing that coming from her lips makes me stop for a second. This is so easy, it's not even funny… nothing like Mu Lingxue's dream to become strong or even Xia Qingyue's dream of going to the Realm of Gods…

"Sounds easy enough. I guess I can help you with this."

This instantly made her much happier. A smile appeared on her lips.

"Many, many thanks, Young Master Xiao! I promise to work hard!"

"Good, I expect you to cultivate properly from now on." 

"Yes!"

Soon enough, we arrived where the Talent Orb was. The guards stiffened and puffed their chests to look more overbearing. They nodded as we entered the small shrine where the Orb was.

"Put your hand on the Orb and channel some of your Profound Energy into it."

"Okay."

The Princess followed my command and did just that. Soon the Orb started to glow and a letter manifested.

"Very interesting."

I saw something I don't think I expected to see. 

So far I saw Swordsmanship, Profound Arts, Blacksmithing, Arrays…

Those are the most common talents, one in a hundred has a talent for pill-making. I have programmed two of these, Fire and Water pill-making.

But what Cang Yue has is…

Alchemy…

Not pure pill making…no, she could make Profound Alchemy, the one that I am practising at this moment. The higher tier stuff.

She could grasp both sides of the pill making, the fire Alchemy and the water Alchemy, eventually breaching the higher-tier stuff.

"...Is it good?" She asked with some worry.

"Yes…" My hand went to her hair and I started stroking it.

My actions made her get embarrassed very quickly.

"Your talent is impressive. You can learn Profound Alchemy, a higher form of Alchemy where you use water and fire at the same time to make higher-tier pills.

"Manipulating opposite elements requires intense concentration."

"Oh… I never thought…I could have such a talent…"

"It's easy to notice. Have you ever cooked before?" I asked curiously.

"...Un…"

"Was it easy to pick up things? Like how to cut materials, how long it takes for some of them to heat and be ready for use?" 

"...Umm…I guess… I thought it was easy in general?"

"Did you ever predict what comes next?" I asked with a small smirk.

"...Um…the chief cook said I was gifted in the kitchen?"

"It's more than that. He only saw the tip of your true talent, Cang Yue. You will be joining my alchemy training sessions I have with Lingxi."

"Understood!"

The Princess had a bright smile on her lips when the first meeting with Xiao Long went better than she thought. Not only did he agree to resolve the plight of her family, but he found out that she is gifted in something she never thought she was!

Regardless, she was now following the main maid or the first maid who had Xiao in her name. This means she is from the clan which made me the Princess extremely respectful.

"This will be your room." Xiao Lingxi has shown a simple room with a bed, a table, and a wardrobe. There is a window which is used for sunlight as there is nothing else to look at as it's a pavilion wall.

"You will be one of the maids and you will be added to the work rotation." The maid explained more to the Princess.

"...work rotation?" Cang Yue asked with confusion.

"Yes. Work rotation is used to rotate the maids who have different duties depending on the day. If you are lucky you might end up spending the whole day with the Young Master.

"Those are rare in between, most of the time he has his battle maids with him as they can fight and act like maids and bodyguards."

"...Why though?"

"He likes seeing women with swords who can fight." Xiao Lingxi casually said with a shrug.

"Think of it as men's preference."

"...Okay…"

"Good, apart from that, be ready as you might end up in his bed today or in a few days. It depends on the Young Master's wishes."

This made Cang Yue blush quite hard. She already knew this, but she didn't expect to hear it come out so casually from a maid.

"...I-I understand."

Xiao Lingxi nodded, before giving some more details.

"Young Master has developed ways to cultivate via Dual Cultivation. As he was quite busy in Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace, he stayed there just around the week. The Fairies wanted his attention.

"So he used that time to cultivate as well." The maid smugly explained how the Young Master was having his way with the 'Pure' and untouchable women of Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace.

"...I see, truly one of a kind individual." Cang Yue was impressed. Not even her Royal Father can enter the Frozen Cloud but this Young Master not only did enter, but took the whole place for himself.

Making those fairies his…

This made her feel pressure descend on her body. She has very stiff competition…

'This means that I will need to cultivate Alchemy.'

"Of course. Before I go, I have something for you—" Xiao Lingxi quite arrogantly nodded. She is fully in favour of her Young Master being very special. Any maid who truly loves her Young Master would be like her.

"This is what OUR Young Master gives to anyone who joins his services. This is something he came up with as he realised that he will be getting more 'gifts' like you."

As she said that she pulled out an exquisite wooden box which looks like it was used to keep something inside.

The maid opened the top and it had pills stored in rows in an extremely organised manner with names on them.

"This is the full package needed to start cultivating and begin your progress of catching up with the rest of us." The maid showed it to the Princess.

"...These are…The improved Vitality pills, Improved Profound energy sensing pills, blood restoring pills…"

Cang Yue said with wide eyes as she saw what she just got!

"These are for you. You won't be getting more unless the Young Master gifts you more." Xiao Lingxi said that while she handed over the exquisite box.

"...I…"

"Consume them. You will need them if you wish to impress our Young Master."

The Princess stiffly nodded. There was some hesitation as to how expensive some of these pills are. The improved vitality pills especially are a hot item on sale, and the price of this is something not even her Family can buy in an auction house… 

Yet, she is getting three of these…

"I understand."

"Good. Young Master will be visiting you soon."

This made Cang Yue instantly blush. This could mean many things. So she needs to be prepared. The first impression is important after all.

Before Xiao Lingxi could leave, the Princess swiftly asked one more thing.

"...Umm…and the white ones? There are quite a lot of these…"

"The purifying pills. They are exclusive to the Young Master's family. They can open Profound Entrances and purify the body. Your Profound energy control will improve along the way as you open Profound Entrances."

For a second, Cang Yue could not form words as her mind was processing this.

Eventually, she stiffly nodded as the maid was looking annoyed at her for wasting her time.

"Good. Then I will be leaving you to your cultivation. The schedule will be brought to you by another maid, and wait patiently for the Young Master."

After saying that Xiao Lingxi left her alone.

Cang Yue's arrival didn't change much as Xiao Long was back to work with his arrays. The [Nascent Profound] Rendering array was ready for use.

The next one was the [True Profound] Rendering array, it was bigger looking and more power was needed to render the beasts.

After that, it was the [Spirit Profound] rendering array. Even bigger set-up and more Barrier walls to keep the Wind Profound Energy in place.

With these done, Xiao Long checked his Profound Arts window.

[Array Creation] (9/10) {31.21%}

It was close to the cap.

'I need to reach the max level. I already have ideas of how it will grow, so it should be no issue…once that is done, I will set up my Fire Profound Array for the gardens. With that in place, I will have a new entire selection of fire based pills. 

'Which in turn will make the Phoenix Empire more reliant on us…'

Xiao Long prefers his grandfather's route instead of his Grandmother's. 

Those two are perfect examples of how one can dominate the world.

One is through sheer trade and monopoly, the second one through sheer strength…

One is elegant and smooth while the other one is crude and very blunt.

'I prefer when they slowly realise that there is no other option but to rely on my pills and products…'

He hummed to himself as he proceeded to build two more arrays, which will create the baseline vitality pill and baseline purifying pill.

With this, he will have three arrays which make him the most basic pills.

'Oh, this reminds me, I did say to Grandmother that I will expand on the purifying pill aspect…'

After remembering this, he proceeded to finish the arrays and then work on an upgraded version of the purifying pill.

'Or maybe an Artefact?'

For a moment he had an image in his head.

'A sauna? Something like a steam room which removes the impurities…

'Oh on top of that Hot springs… I do have the Fire Seed, so I can use it as a battery to heat things…'

With more ideas in mind, Xiao Long's schedule does look quite busy.

While the Young Master was working on his things, the maids sighed in relief as the only thing they needed to do now was throw the Profound Beast's carcass into the array and wait for the rendering to be done.

After that, they just need to remove remnants like the useless organs…

Some of that is useful, like the liver and the Heart, but the beasts are so weak that their uses would be only for extremely low cultivation people.

So the Phoenix maids just burned the stuff away with their flames.

"Do you think the Young Master would teach us how to wield fire as he does?"

The maids talked among themselves as they proceeded to burn away the useless stuff. 

"I hope? We could just ask him to teach us instead of asking for regular things."

"Hmm, I guess… oh that reminds… me this could work… Young Master loves to talk about his craft so we could get even more of his attention!"

The maids started to whisper among themselves while the fairies frowned for a bit.

They wield ice…this could get annoying… 

'Wait…could he teach us Frozen End Divine Arts!?'

Only now they realised that their Young Master could do more than just dual cultivate with them…
