1 Chapter One - Down to Business

<span ;="">"white and black. light and dark. life and death. complete opposites, yet once you hear one of them, one side of the scale , you automatically think of the other. they can't be without each other, existing isn't balanced. obviously there's more to that, old people would say, it isn't that easy for someone to be the white to your black. but what if these above-mentioned are all just pointless, bed-time stories? what if black never needed white?"

<span ;="">- Excuse me, Mr. Aiden. Your brother has been looking for you, he said he wanted you to go figure out how the offer he gave to Ms. Amaris was taken - his waiter said, waking him up from the daydream he was lost in, looking at the sunset sky, with his feet hanging out of the terrace of his family's home.

<span ;="">- Let him know I'll be downstairs in a few minutes - Aiden said, not taking his eyes off the dreamy sky.

<span ;="">He lived under the same roof as his brother ; he worked together with his brother; they were each other's only family, yet Aiden never liked Chase. He loved his brother of course, but he didn't like him at all. Chase was a few years older than Aiden and their mother had died in a tragic accident where chemicals had poisoned her when they were kids. Their father had left before they were even born, left being each other's only blood relate. They still had the business their mother left them of course, it was more successful than ever, but it would never be the same as it was. It was one business, was shown to the public as one business, but it was separated into two, being ran by boys who took care of it in different ways. Aiden was more of a mafia boss: cold, serious, strict. Chase was sweet, understanding and absolutely selfless.

<span ;="">- Needed me, brother?

<span ;="">- Yeah, hold up a minute - Chase said taking his eyes off the computer at his office. Soon as his eyes met Aiden's, he unintentionally said: Aiden, you have mom's eyes.

<span ;="">Aiden had siren eyes, so beautifully green you wouldn't believe they were even real; wavy brown hair, looking like clouds in a sunset sky, falling into his eyes; his lips were full and had a soft pink colour. He pretty much was a boy whose appearance every girl'd fall in love with, but his personality wasn't it.

<span ;="">- I guess, anyways though. What'd you need me for?- Aiden said with a face as numb as ice.

<span ;="">- I made an offer to Amaris a few weeks ago. We were supposed to meet tomorrow at noon to fall down to a deal but I have no time to go.

<span ;="">Amaris was an enemy to them. Not personally, in business. Nothing ever became personal, in fact they really liked each other. In every meeting with her, Chase was the one to show up. But this time, it wasn't that he hadn't time. He had talked to Amaris and they wanted to arrange a marriage between Aiden and her younger sister, Ocean.
