Zlatus watched through his barred window as the sun set, marking the beginning of Dusk, and sighed. As if it wasn't enough that he had to be locked in, answering every question the Investigators and his Lawyer came up with, he now had to go to a temple to ask forgiveness for his sins. Did they think him to be that bad? Well, they had sent a Schoolgirl to take care of his case – a very smart one, but a Schoolgirl nonetheless – so maybe they did think he was hopeless.

Not that they knew anything of his life; all they cared about was that he had stolen a stupid magic belt from a Master. And maybe a couple of other things while he was at it. And some more before that. But it wasn't his fault. It wasn't like he wanted to steal and chose the targets himself. Not that they would consider this while judging him, even if he did tell them the whole truth, which he couldn't.
