1 When promise breaks, it hurts like broken glass

Fang Fen Ju hold her husband's hand and he looked at her lovingly. For some unknown reason, she was worried and anxious.

She smiled and pat Fen Ju's head and she just blushed. She was thinking her husband was missing her but instead he was so lost in someone else's beauty that he even forgot that woman whom he promised would be his only love, his only Xiao XianNv.

Soon enough a piece of news reached in the capital of Rusa that King Aiguo was on his way to the capital. Fen Ju was beyond happy that finally her king was coming back but sometimes happiness is meant to be broken by the source of happiness.

ROYAL COURT OF RUSA

The whole royal court was filled up with the hailing of King Li Aiguo. Fen Ju was really neatly prepared to welcome her husband but the thing which broke her was the woman beside her husband.

Fen Ju looked at Aiguo in teary eyes and when their eyes met, he looked away. Maybe he was guilty, that's what Fen Ju thought. But he wasn't for real.

Queen Mother- Ju,

Fen Ju- I-I a-am g-going to my room.

Queen Mother- But you have to greet the king as his first wife.

She said even her heart was telling her to go and slap her own son for breaking such a precious heart. Fen Ju took a deep breath and walked toward Aiguo with a forced smile.

Fen Ju- Congratulation King Li Aiguo and Royal Queen Fang Chyou.

AIGUO'S POV

I looked at Fen Ju. Her voice was cold yet she had a smile on her face. She called me by my full name but why am I feeling hurt? I love Chyou, she is the only one for me.

Fen Ju- Looks like I have to give up on my Royal Queen title.

Aiguo- Royal Queen title is for the one who gives birth to the first Royal Heir.

She looked at me with wide eyes understanding what I was meaning in my words. I looked over the court members and stood up from my royal throne.

Aiguo- Royal Queen Chyou is pregnant with the first royal heir. And the whole capital is invited for 3 days of celebration.

The whole courtroom was filled up with cheers and well wishes for the next heir. I looked at Fen Ju and she was looking down. I walked toward her.

Aiguo- Meet me in the royal bedroom after this.

She just nodded and walked away. I just sighed and looked at Chyou. I smiled fondly at her and she smiled back.

Fen Ju's pov

I walked out of the royal court and ran toward our chamber, which is no more mine. I entered the room and closed the door. I slide down the door and cried. I cried my heart out.

Fen Ju- YOU BROKE YOUR PROMISE. YOU SAID I'LL BE THE ONLY ONE IN YOUR LIFE. IS THIS WHAT I GET FOR LOVING YOU? WE NEVER SPEND ONE NIGHT TOGETHER BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO KNOW AND LOVE ME BETTER, BUT YOU GOT HER PREGNANT EVEN MARRIED HER.

I cried and cried. I stood up and looked around the room which was filled with sweet memories of mine and Aiguo. I touched the ring which was gifted by him to me as a symbol that I am the only Queen of his heart and Rusa. I rubbed the ring and then I heard a knock. I wiped off my tears and took a deep breath. And then he entered with that woman. I looked at them and they were holding hands. It broke my heart it broke me. But I am the Princess of Ailtics before Queen of Rusa. And people in Ailtics are known for being strong and wise. I can't be weak.

Aiguo- Queen Fen Ju, you have to move out of the chamber. From now on Xiao XianNv will stay with me.

I nodded and looked at the girl who was standing beside him with a smirk on her face. I know this girl isn't perfect for him. But for now, I'll just go with the flow.

Fen Ju- I didn't know you disappeared from the battlefield for 20 days to come back with a woman.

Aiguo- Mind your tone, Queen Fen Ju.

I bowed a little as apologies.

Fen Ju- I am telling this as the Impartial Queen of Rusa or I am not even that.

I looked at him and he could understand what I was telling him, he didn't say anything but that woman spoke.

She faked a tear and I just rolled. He looked at her with concern and wiped off her tear.

Aiguo- Xiao XianNv, don't cry. And Queen Fen Ju, she is pregnant.

Fen Ju- That's great. And King Aiguo, I would like to remind you as king, you have your own duties which you neglected for 20 days. Many works are pending and I'll tell the royal clerk to give you a report.

I bowed at him and was about to leave the room but that woman spoke again.

I looked at him.

I looked at him with hurtful eyes hoping that he will understand. But my fate, which is now testing me.
