All I needed from him was his life, was that so wrong of me? It was only fair, after the way he had stolen mine. I spent years pining for him, praying to the Moon Goddess that he would take me back, that I could fix things, but my prayers went unanswered. That was when I decided to take matters into my own hands.
With dark magic, you don't need to ask, to wonder if you have been heard. It's transactional. You offer a sacrifice, you say the right words the right way, and you get what you want. I was dying. And I was nowhere near ready to go. All I needed was one more sacrifice, and I would live for another millenia. If Griffin hadn't shown up, I was just going to use Mia. One body is much the same as another when it comes to this sort of thing. But he did show up. And the idea of killing him so that I could live was just too tempting to pass up.
