28 Twenty More!!

Larcen shrugged, "I don't see how that's my problem."

"Fuck you!", she cursed and walked back to her bike before looking at him, "You coming or not?"

Nodding, he jogged towards her and sat down before she sped up. A few seconds later, he leaned forward and whispered, "I just talked to Larcen and he says that he has a few hollow point rounds. Hey hey, continue riding. I'll relay his words."

She nodded slowly but leaned back a little so she could hear better.

"He said that he will only sell in bulk and he means 10 to 30 boxes of bullets in one go. Tell me if you are interested and I'll send him a yes. Oh, the price for each box is 3 SP like Anna's but he said he would sell them for 2 each if you give him something valuable or cool in return."

"I'll think about it. I also have to talk to my father about it and I don't have enough SP to buy them either.", she said as she straightened her back before stopping in front of a group of goblins again. This time there were two of the yellow ones and the group was also huge.

Before Larcen got off the bike though, she pulled her rifle forward from her back and aimed for a fraction of a second before pressing the trigger multiple times in a row. By the time Larcen was off the bike with his pistol equipped, eight of the goblins had fallen.

"Damn, what's with that accuracy?", he asked and waited as he wanted to see what she would do next.

Without replying to him, she pulled the magazine out before inserting another one and aimed again before repeating the process again, killing eight more goblins.

Larcen watched in awe as she reloaded and shot six more times, killing the last goblins on that particular road. Even the yellow goblins weren't able to escape their fates. The funny thing was that the last six were only five meters from them and yet, they fell.

"Now I understand why you were angry back then. My two magazines were equivalent to 56 kills for you.", he said sighing.

"Not really.", she said as she removed the magazine from the rifle and began loading them with more bullets. Seeing her, Larcen did the same but she began speaking while doing her thing.

"My dad is much better than I am and today was pure luck. I usually use an average of 2 bullets to hit my mark accurately and even now, most of them aren't dead. They will most probably get up soon so I'll have to go finish them off in a minute or so."

She didn't have to say as he could already see some of them roll or move but he waited, wanting to see what she did. Once she filled up two of her magazines, she loaded her rifle and walked towards the fallen goblins.

One by one she stabbed them with her knife and if she saw one standing up and walking towards her, she would shoot at them instead. Two minutes later, she walked back quietly and got onto the bike before giving him a smirk.

"I'm better."

"Sure, sure...", he said and took his seat behind her as he looked at his system screen which showed his SP in three digits.

'Finally... after waiting for so long.', he thought to himself as he directly bought a replication slot.

{+1 Replication Slot bought for 100 SP}

But the thing he saw next knocked him off guard.

'What in the fucking hell? 200 for the next upgrade? Ugh.... I'll just spend the rest on the skill chest for now.'

He switched tabs and once he clicked on the skill chest to spend his remaining SP on it, all he got was an error message.

{Unable to spend SP on Skill Chest. SP is a refined version of mana in this world and is not harmful but it is insufficient to create a Merchant's Skill Chest. Due to this, the user is advised to kill creatures on his own to obtain the concentrated form of corrupt mana.}

"Haaaah...", he gave a loud sigh as he rested his head on Betty's shoulder, to which she replied with a question.

"Did something happen?", she asked but got no response. Before she could stop her bike to check up on him, he spoke.

"Yeah... I spent my SP on something and now I'm broke.", he said sadly.

"How much did you spend and what did you buy?"

"6 SP... on magazines. He said he had the ones I am using so I didn't want to waste the opportunity and bought it all. 6SP for 15 mags.", he said, and once he did, 15 magazines appeared in front of him.

"Fifteen magazines for 6SP is a steal considering the fact that each of your magazines holds 28 rounds. That's like 420 bullets in total and it's even more than what I could get with his offer! I'd only get 300 bullets but that is only when I can give him something he is interested in. I'd say it was a good deal but I don't know about you."

Larcen nodded quietly but his mind was busy with other matters thinking about the merchant variant of the Skill box and corrupted mana. He put all the magazines into his bag and gave his HP bullets to Betty so he could make some space for his magazines.

Once he was done, he swung his bag on and looked at Betty, "Let's go, and also, can you let me last hit the goblins for a while? I'll give you all the SP I earn."

"Sure...", she said and got onto the bike before accelerating the two-wheeler.

They rode towards the center while killing any groups they saw, having a sense of security that they could always buy more bullets when they needed them.

They were close enough to see the tower's upper body but Larcen was busy looking at his screen.

'Ahhhh, twenty more points to open the chest!'
