Meeting the family

Hunters from other guilds have been patiently waiting. However, in such a high ranked gate, they don't expect Astasia to come out alive. Though, she expectedly proved them wrong when she came out of the dungeon within a few hours.... with a man.

A man.

The reporters and hunters surrounded the two good looking people as assumptions begin to form in the heads of the reporters.

Coming out with a man will be a big scoop.

"Miss Astasia! Who is this man?"

"Are you possibly cheating on Mr. Kai?"

All sorts of question were thrown at her while Lucifer was smiling and waving like a celebrity. Cameras doesn't exist in the world of Aether, but he certainly knows what they are, "Cheating? His beauty can't even compare to Kai. How can I ever do my man like that?"

"Hey! For your information, I've had plenty of women fall for me," Lucifer whispered to Astasia because his pride was hurt. He may not be handsome to her eyes, but most people found him extremely attractive. One reason is because of his race. Demons of nobility are born to attract attention, so looking good was a given.

Suddenly, a person dropped from the sky, leaving a small crater on the ground,

"Kai! How do you feel about the situation?"

"Did you let your fiancé go in there alone?"

"Who is this man?"

The reporters turned their attention to Kai, but his glare made them take a step back, "Any more questions and I will destroy all of your cameras," he threatened. Suddenly, an idea popped inside the mind of one of the reporters, "The unstoppable pair who shares a common personality." This was title he was sure to post after Astasia and Kai had left.

Kai, who is rated as one of the top handsome hunters, is also considered to be one of the strongest hunters in the world. However, everyone knew how much he hated receiving public attention, so he often loses his temper whenever people bother him.

Astasia is hated more than she's liked and there's two reasons for that. One, is her impertinent personality and cruel ways of handling situations. Two, is because she's the fiance of Kai. There was a rule among Kai's fan club that he will be shared by everyone, but she broke that rule which resulted into the females to detest her presence. However, thanks to her beauty, many people also fawn over her.

"Let's go. Lucifer, come with us," Astasia walked past the crowd of people while Kai calmly walked by her side. Then, there's Lucifer who nervously walked behind them, not sure how to react to the situation. He was so sure that Kai will get mad because of his presence, but he was terrifyingly calm.

After hopping in the car, only silence filled the air. Lucifer could feel himself suffering from it, but at the same time, he didn't know how to start a conversation. For a king, this was the toughest situation he's been in, "Hello?" Astasia answered a call, making Lucifer more relaxed.

"Ms. Astasia, your guardian has explained the situation to me. I will gladly accept your plan and will have potential hunters ready for Lucifer," Rudolf spoke at the other end of the call. After coming out of the gate, Astasia quickly sent Jack to him in order to explain her intentions. It was a last minute decision, but Rudolf's trust for her was strong enough to accept the abrupt decision she made.

"Good. Take care of him, he's outside of the hunters association building," Astasia kicked Lucifer out of the car after telling him not to kill anyone, then drove off. He was baffled to the point where he wanted to kill Astasia for this, but he knew full well how his blood lust will only result into his death.

"Do you want to come with me to visit my family?" Astasia asked. Naturally, Kai agreed to that idea and eventually met with her mother and little brother but things turned more sour than he thought.

"I don't approve of you!" Luke raised his voice and hugged Astasia. The whole time they ate dinner, Luke was glaring at Kai, "My son, that's bad manners. You shouldn't treat your sister's boyfriend like that," Marie looked baffled while trying to calm down Luke.

"I'm so sorry about this Luke. He's usually not like this,"

"It's no problem. I simply wanted to let you know that I plan on marrying your daughter in the future. Right now, she is my fiancé,"

Kai's respectful attitude shocked Astasia but pissed off Luke. She was so sure that Kai wasn't this type of person nor will he ever become nice just for someone's sake. Such moments may be something one should be happy about, but to Astasia, it frightened her in its own way.

"Oh my~ Asha, you didn't tell me anything about being engaged. Kai, please take good care of my daughter," Marie smiles softly while grabbing Kai's hands. She was on the verge of tears because the idea of her daughter getting married made her so happy.

Though she was gone most of the time, it still made Marie happy that she's found someone whom she loves, "Mom!! I don't approve of him! Can't you tell from his face? He seems shady!" At this point, Luke was throwing a tantrum. He was quite immature for his age.

Due to Luke's unexpected reaction towards Kai, Marie made the couple leave her house and forced them to go on a date. She didn't want to make Kai uncomfortable, so she insisted for the couple to go to the beach, "If my little brother doesn't approve, it seems like you have to do better," Astasia chuckled while walking at the beach, hand in hand.

"Don't be picky, I'm already better than most," Kai replied to her joke while holding tightly onto her small hands. For someone who has been to hundreds of battles, her hand is quite soft.

"What about me? Do you think I'm better than most?"

"You are second to none. If you think you aren-" before Kai could finish his sentence, Astasia gave him a quick peck on the lips and ran to the shore with a bright smile on her face. Seeing how happy and innocent she looked, especially with her little white dress, her guardians that stood far in the sidelines were too shocked to watch the moment.

"Is that our master...?" Jackie's jaw dropped.

"Fortunately, it is," Jack replied.

"It seems like she's changed because of that Kai,"

"Well it doesn't matter. That's a good thing right?"

"Right..."

The two siblings watched Kai and Astasia flirt around the beach, feeling somewhat awkward at the new personality of Astasia.
