15: Second Mission

Zandro started walking to the stage while Mila was staring at him seriously. The guy started giving his speech and looked at where they were standing. It is expected anyway since Winston is his best friend.

"Have fun in the celebration, Thank you." All the people started clapping their hands and smiling, Mila did it too to lessen Zandro's suspicion about her.

He started walking towards them and immediately went to Winston to greet and talk with him. Mila felt that Zandro didn't pay attention to her and when he looked at her, she smiled and introduced herself as Diana.

"You must be Winston's new girlfriend." It gives Mila an ick after hearing it, how could she be his best friend's new girlfriend!? She just smiled and nodded her head even though she now wanted to kick and punch Winston's face.

"No, she's not. She's just a friend of mine. Don't spread such things, Zandro." The guy just laughed and faced her again.

"Is she part of our group?"

"Yes, she just doesn't like to attend any kind of celebrations." Zandro nodded and looked at her again and smiled.

"Nice meeting you." Zandro reaches his hands to make a handshake with her but she is hesitant. She is worried that Zandro might identify her if ever he touches her hands.

"She is a bit shy to interact with people. Don't touch her man." Winston saves her and gives her a wink causing her to smile a bit.

"Oh, sorry. My mistake. Nice meeting you again, Miss Diana." Zandro smiled at her and turned his back on her. Mila let out a sigh a bit, thanks to Winston she was saved. Instead of staying with them, she excuses herself to go wander around. Winston immediately understood what she wanted to do so she let her be.

When Mila is finally away from them, Zandro moves his eyes to stare at her again. Somehow, Zandro felt some familiarization with her. He wanted to know her more but Mila looked like disliked interacting with people.

Mila wandered her eyes around to find his two targets, she was hoping that the two were together so she wouldn't be able to have difficulties killing them. She continues to look around but she still can't find them in the crowd causing her to let out a sigh and decide to take a glass of wine from the waiter and drink as she looks in front of her.

There are so many people in here and they were all just talking about business matters and wanting to build some connections. Two people caught her attention as the two of them were once her customers. Some customers wear masks to hide their identities but some do not, maybe because they're just trusting the organization she's in that they can protect their personal information.

"Hi." Mila slowly turned her face to the left when she heard a woman's voice and was stunned to see Winston's ex-wife in front of her smiling.

"Hello," she replied shortly. The woman giggles and reaches for her hands.

"I am Cassandra, you are? I saw you with Winston, you must be his new girlfriend. or wife?"

Mila accepted her handshake and smiled. "I am Diana and no, I am not Winston's girlfriend or wife. I am just a friend." She smiled and Cassandra slowly nodded her head in response.

"Are you looking for something? I saw you walking and looking around. Maybe I can help you?" Cassandra's sweet voice causes Mila to feel comfortable around her.

"I am trying to find the food corner, is there something like that in here?"

"You can walk to the right straight and you can find one there. It is filled with different kinds of delicacies and drinks."

Mila smiled after it. "Thank you, Cassandra."

"My pleasure." After the conversation, she immediately left her as she didn't want to get involved with Winston's love problem. She needed to find her target as soon as possible so she could finally prepare for everything and when she arrived at the food corner, she finally saw the two targets talking with other people.

Winston's Father was sitting in a wheelchair and while she was studying his brother's movements, he may seem like a good person but Mila can sense something with him as well. The guy looks like he has the same personality as Zandro. A good-looking guy on the outside but was hiding a demon inside.

Mila walks closer to them to hear some of their conversation while eating cupcakes.

"I just heard that Mr. Douleur will inherit all of his wealth from you, Congrats on that, Gil." One of his friends spoke and cheered their cups and drank a wine. "I do hope Mr. Douleur will be healed from his illness."

"I hope so too."

Mila still observing and studying the man's movements until the host started speaking causing all people to look on the stage. I looked around and saw Winston with Zandro walking closer to her.

'Why those are here? Can't they just stick in one place!?' Mila thought to her mind as she stared at the two guys walking closer to her. She could see Winston's smile which made her feel irritated. Winston then turned his eyes to look at Gil and when their eyes met each other, Gil decided to walk away from them with their Father.

"Oh, I didn't think Gil still hated you, Winston." Mila looked at them when Zandro's eyes met hers. "Oh, you are here. Are you hungry? You seem to have some icing in your mouth." Mila immediately wiped her mouth but found nothing. "Just joking." Mila glared at him but Zandro laughed so hard causing Winston to let out a sigh.

"Don't mess up with her, Zandro."

"I am just joking, relax."

'What should I do? I can't focus on what I need to do if Zandro is here with me,' she thought. 'This might be an opportunity to know him more but it is too risky than what I have imagined!'

"Wait, I needed to go for a while." And just like that, Winston left Mila with Zandro causing her mouth to wide open. She can't be with Zandro alone!

"Alright." Zandro then took another cup of wine and drank it looking at his members. "Hey, you're Diana, right?" Mila nodded her head holding the cup with a wine too and didn't bother to turn her head to look at him. "Your eyes look familiar."

Mila was surprised to hear it especially since Zandro's voice is somewhat serious! What will she do? She still doesn't have words to reply to his statement. She was kind of nervous.
