10 Chapter 10: Ambush [3]

Edward was too angry at this moment and he had forgotten that if he killed the wolf then it would disintegrate into nothingness and then he would remain to suffer in the cold all alone.

Edward then picked up his sword and took a defensive stance before he charged at the third wolf who also began to charge at him.

Edward raised his sword over his head as he was ready to strike down this annoying wolf for good.

But the wolf was too quick as it dodged his attack only to reveal that the other wolf was charging at him quickly.

Edward quickly raised his sword which was embedded into the snow and then he turned around as he swung it towards the approaching wolf with all of his might.

But this wolf was also quick on its feet and at using its brain. So it quickly ducked underneath Edward's strike and then it rolled towards Edward's feet like a soccer ball.

Edward quickly pulled his leg backwards and then he kicked the rolling wolf as if it were a soccer ball when it had reached near him.

"Awuu ~"

Yelped the wolf as it felt pain from the kick it received from Edward.

After landing a heavy kick on the rolling wolf he quickly raised his sword and then he charged at the flying wolf.

But before he could take any steps forward, he felt a sharp pain eminating from his calf on the right foot.

The third wolf's sharp canines dug into Edward's calf on his right foot and then it ripped the flesh off of his leg.

"Arghh ~!" screamed Edward as he felt pain from his flesh being ripped off of his leg by the third wolf's sharp canines.

Edward stumbled forward on one foot as he felt excruciating pain eminating from his leg.

He then turned around and glared at the third wolf with a vicious expression on his face as he saw it spit out his flesh as if it was the most disgusting thing that it had ever tasted.

Then the wolf turned its head towards Edward and smirked at him smugly as it was able to land a fatal blow to him and managed to injure him really badly.

'Did that wolf just smirk !' thought Edward with a painful expression on his face.

"You are going to fucking die ! I will kill you !" bellowed Edward with an angry expression on his handsome face.

Edward then quickly picked up a spear from one of the piles of the drop items. He then looked at the first wolf that was standing behind him and then he acted like he was going to throw it at the third wolf which caused the said wolf to jump to the side while the first wolf sprinted towards him.

He then turned around quickly to face the first wolf and then he threw the spear towards the fast approaching wolf with all the might that he could muster.

The spear shuttled through the air and approached the first wolf at a very fast speed.

The first wolf managed to see the fast approaching spear just in time and then it quickly dodged to the side.

But unfortunately for the first wolf, it was not fast enough and the spear managed to hit the its tail.

The spear pierced the first wolf's tail and then it flew towards a nearby tree taking the wolf along with it.

The spear struck the tree and managed to get embedded into the tree trunk and it managed to pin the first wolf's tail to the tree trunk.

"Awuu ~"

The first wolf howled in pain as it slammed into the tree trunk with its tail being pierced by the spear and also being trapped between the tree at the same time.

The first wolf then looked towards Edward with an angered expression on its face only to see an equally fierce expression on his handsome face.

"Stay right there. I will come for you soon enough," said Edward towards the first wolf that was pinned at the tree trunk by its tail with a extremely conceited tone in his voice which caused a shiver to run down the said wolf's spine.

Edward then turned around to look at the third wolf with a menacing expression on his handsome face.

"Now it is just me and you wolfie. I believe we have some unfinished business to deal with," said Edward towards the third wolf with a menacing tone in his voice which caused the said wolf to shiver in fear.

But it quickly regained its confidence and then it looked at Edward with an equally menacing expression on its face and then it growled loudly.

The third wolf then launched itself towards Edward and approached him with a lightning fast pace.

Edward then picked up his sword off of the snowy ground and then he took his defensive stance and then he awaited the third wolf's attack.

The said wolf approached Edward with a lightning quick pace and then it pounced towards Edward with its claws bared out to the world.

But then Edward raised his sword above his head and then he swung it downwards towards the fast approaching wolf that was flying through the air.

The third wolf then it moved at a quick pace to counter Edward's sword strike.

The third wolf pulled its powerful left paw outwards and then it parried Edward's sword by striking the said sword away from itself.

Edward stumbled towards his left side as the third wolf slapped his sword away.

The third wolf then landed next to Edward's injured right leg.

The said wolf then raised its powerful paw again and then it swung its paw towards Edward's injured right leg.

The third wolf's sharp claws descended towards Edward's injured right leg and then it struck the said leg with all off its might.

"Arghh ~!" screamed Edward as he fell onto the snowy ground from the pain that was eminating from his injured right leg.

He felt the third wolf's sharp claws strike and cut open the front part off his already injured right leg.

The third wolf then took this chance to quickly pounce onto Edward.

It stood over Edward with its sharp canines bared at his face and its sharp claws dug into Edward's chest.

The third wolf then tried to bite Edward's head off of his shoulders but Edward was quick and managed to dodge by moving his head out of the way of the wolf's attack.

Edward then raised his sword and then he struck the back of the third wolf's head with the hilt of his sword which caused the said wolf to yelp in pain as it got off of Edward's body.

Edward quickly sat up and then he raised his sword over his head and then he swung it downwards towards the oblivious third wolf's head.

The sword then descended onto the oblivious third wolf with a lightning fast pace.

The sword sunk into the third wolf's head and cut through it as if he was cutting butter.

The third wolf's lifeless body then fell to the ground motionless.

Drop items then appeared next to the dead wolf's body and this time the drop items were even better than the previous drop items.

'Hmm, it seems like the more powerful a monster is the better the quality of the drop items that the monster will leave behind,' thought Edward as he looked at the drop items that he had received.

The third wolf's body started to disintegrate into nothingness after a few seconds of being killed just like its brothers/sisters before it.

Edward was brought back from his stupor by a sharp pain eminating from his back as he felt claws rip open his flesh.

Edward then quickly rolled over to the side to move away from the monster that had attacked him.

Edward shivered as he felt the cold snow touch his open cuts on his back as he rolled on the ice cold snow.

After successfully managing to roll away from the monster that had attacked him, Edward quickly stood up and jumped up and down on his left leg as his right leg was still feeling a lot of pain.

He then quickly looked over to the monster that had attacked him and saw that it was the second wolf, the one that he had sliced its paws making it not to move.

Edward then raised his sword over his head and then he threw it towards the second wolf's head.

The sword was too fast for the wolf to be able to dodge so the sword struck the second wolf's head and then it got embedded into its head bringing an end to the life of the second wolf.

Some more rare looking drop items appeared next to the dead wolf as it dropped to the ground lifeless.

After a few seconds the second wolf's body also started to disintegrate into nothingness just like the wolves before it.

Edward then went over to the place where the second wolf had died while still jumping up and down on his left leg to retrieve his sword.

Edward then picked up his sword and started to jump towards the first wolf that was pinned to the tree trunk by its tail.

Edward was smiling menacingly at the wolf as he said,"Well, I guess it is your turn to die now !"

The wolf shivered in fear as it saw Edward approaching it with his sword in hand.
