Chapter 007: Company

"Um... Ren?" Ryu said, sounding nervous. "What's wrong? Is someone coming?" Ren asked, turning to face him. "Well... yes, but, it's not anyone I recognize. It's a woman in a black mask. I can see a bit of her hair, it's black and white." Ryu told him. Upon hearing how Ryu had described the woman, Ren quickly got up and hurried to the door. "Over here!" he called out softly. She looked towards them and, as soon as she recognized him, walked to the door of the old classroom. "Ren, why are you late? And who's this?" Okami asked. "Oh, I'm late because I was caught by the Osoroshi Boys, and this is an old friend who was also abducted." Ren told her. "Were you bringing him with you? And, by 'Osoroshi Boys' do you mean the two boys who ran the second they saw me coming?" she asked. "N-no! Of course I didn't bring him with me. The other Osoroshi boys turned on him when he tried to stop them from killing me. Wait, you said there were only two boys? But there are three Osoroshi Boys, now that Ryu isn't one of them anymore." Ren told her. "Sorry to interrupt, but, if there were only two of them and they both ran, that means Maou is most likely still here. We should hurry up and get out of here. If he catches us, we're as good as dead." Ryu said. "More like if he catches us, he's dead." Ren said quietly, but clearly not quietly enough, as Okami replied a moment later saying, "I might be good at one-on-one combat, but, I'd prefer not to waste my energy." "R-right, sorry. In that case, we should hurry and get going." Ren said nervously. They began heading to the exit when a voice sounded behind them. "Where do you think you're going?"
