End of the Clash

Kanou approached Ohma who was slumped on the fence and pulled him forward, this time not in a throw but an elbow lock. He placed Ohma's arm under his own tightly and pulled it down from below the elbow using his hold as leverage, before moving behind Ohma to apply pressure on the shoulder joint.

"Joint locks are my favourite besides throws." Kanou said, "and this my signature."

'Judo: Ude-hishigi-waki-gatame.'

"A standing variation of the elbow lock that puts pressure on the shoulder joint," Akisame commented.

"That's not judo," Kenichi shouted.

"No, that's pure judo," Akisame said. "It's just that these types of locks are banned in most tournaments. It's not a part of sports Judo anymore but it's still Judo."

"As I said in my text," Kanou shouted. "I WILL TAKE YOUR ARMS!"

Kanou applied more and grinned as he heard the popping sound of Ohma's shoulder. Then he released him, letting him drop to the ground while expecting cries of pain soon.

Kenichi rushed forward. "Ohma!"

But then Akisame gripped his shoulder stopping him on his track.

"But his shoulder broke!" Kenichi cried.

"No," Akisame said. "Look at Ohma's face, can you see any pain on it?"

Kenichi looked at Ohma who was on his knees, breathing slowly, a side of his face was covered in blood from the split made on his forehead, but as Akisame said; there was no sign of pain on his face, only calmness.

'Looks like the break is over.' Ohma thought and stood back up, his dislocated arm dangling by his side. Kanou snapped his head toward him with a look of shock.

"Don't be so surprised," Ohma said. "I just dislocated my shoulder before you could."

He explained as he snapped his arm back into the socket with a pop.

'Water Kata: Grass Limb.'

"Dislocation is an essential skill in Water Kata after all," Ohma said. "You might be a Judo champion or whatever, but I am the inheritor of Niko Style."

"He might be currently low on stamina, but Ohma survives through Apachai's strikes on nearly a daily basis." Elder remarked. "Throws like these aren't enough to keep him down."

Ohma dashed towards Kanou and wrapped his around his waist while placing one foot back to change to the centre of gravity. Kanou took the same position and placed his one back. Then both engaged in a grappling match.

'Redirection Kata: Weeping willow.'

"They are both using soft style grappling." The Elder said. "However their styles are in direct contrast."

"The is tricky." Akisame stroked his moustache.

Kenichi then asked, "What's so tricky about this?"

"This isn't a stalemate of raw strength as it would look at the first glance but it's not the case. The judoka is trying to shift Ohma's centre of gravity, but Ohma has him by the waist and by using minimal movements he is dispersing the judoka's force to his hips." Akisame said. "At the same time Ohma is also trying to throw the judoka off my balance but he is countering by constantly shifting his weight. All the while also trying to find Ohma's centre of gravity which sits far beyond his range."

"But the Judoka has enough strength to take control of this struggle." The Elder commented.

"Not only that but the longer this goes on the more Ohma drains his stamina, he already could no longer go for higher intensity actions like striking," Akisame remarked. "Ohma's soft style could easily takedown larger than himself but the judoka seem to know how to counter it, moreover the weight factor. Weight doesn't always win the fight, but in this case, the Judoka has the advantage."

Kanou growled and threw his entire weight on Ohma with a hip turn, Ohma tried to toss him to the side using the judoka's own force but Kanou countered by moving his foot to that side. Then before Ohma could do anything else, Kanou snaked one arm under Ohma's left leg and the other over his right shoulder. Then he turned Ohma upside down with a hip toss over his shoulder before pushing him down on top of his head.

'Judo: Te Guruma.'

Ohma twisted his body before reaching the ground, taking the force of the throw on his shoulder instead of on the head.

Then suddenly a wave of pressure-filled the area and Kenichi felt it on his heart.

Kenichi moved back. "What was that?"

"Killing intent." The Elder replied, his face now stern. "Animals feel it, during life and death fights, the pressure you get when someone actively tries to kill you. Humans have now lost the ability to sense this but the remnants of it still remain dormant."

Kenichi then realized, "Do you mean he is actually trying to kill Ohma?"

"That was an intentional killing throw," Akisame remarked. "Te Guruma is a shoulder impact throw, but it's now banned in tournaments because it could easily be turned into a headfirst killing throw that could easily crack open someone's skull. It's not just a fight anymore, it's a death match."

Ohma rolled away from his from Kanou creating enough distance to recover, pain ran through his shoulder. His legs trembled as he tried to stand, his breaths turning heavy.

"His stamina is reaching its limits," Akisame commented.

Kanou snickered, "Your stamina has decreased since our last fight, looks like that pressure point technique actually works."

'It's time to use that.' Ohma thought taking a deep breath. His body suddenly became light as if it was no longer him forcing them to move but pulled by an invisible force with invisible strings. 'Relax the body, place all the weight on the bone structure, shift your weight to move, minimise the movements and use the lightest of force to perform them, feel the flow of power inside the body and grasp control of it.'

'Redirection kata Ultimate technique: Marionette.'

"Out of fuel already fatty." Ohma taunted Kanou. "Are you just going to keep standing there?"

Kanou growled and dashed towards Ohma. The moment he got in range, he swiped his hand trying to get hold of Ohma, but it only caught empty air, but he didn't see Ohma move to dodge at all, he just stood there and his hand phased through him. Kanou tried to grab again, but it was as if his attack just passed through Ohma.

"His skills in controlling his body have already reached this level." The Elder remarked. "He truly surpassed my expectations."

Kenichi was perplexed at this. "What just happened? How is Ohma dodging without moving at all?"

"He is moving," Akisame stated, "Ohma is dodging while moving so little that it appears that he isn't moving at all with the attack seemingly going right through him; he achieves this by shifting his knee to evade the attack without changing his axis, making it look like he isn't moving at all, it's called Limiting Line which is classified a master level skill in the world of martial arts."

Akisame continued. "But not only that, utilizing inner strength, gravity and alignment of bones while placing all that weight on your skeleton system to move, it's classified an Advance Master level skill."

"What's wrong? Already getting tired?" Ohma taunted.

Kanou growled and lunged at Ohma getting hold of his wrist. "Got you."

Ohma twisted his arm and grasped Kanou's wrist as a counter and turned his grip tighter. Kanou screamed in pain and before he could do anything to counter, he lost his footing as Ohma pulled him forward, dropping him on his knee.

"Is that the wrist I broke during the last fight," Ohma said making his grip harder.

"That's how..." Akisame muttered. "Similar technique is present Aikido which uses a pressure point to cause pain."

Suddenly the coach who remained silent the whole time chipped in, "It's useless then, Kanou knows how to counter Aikido's soft manipulation."

Kanou spun on his knee, and moved behind Ohma, gritting his teeth from the sharp pain on his wrist before wrapping his arms around Ohma's waist. Then picked him over his head by his waist and then threw him far back.

"You almost had me," Kanou growled.

'Judo: Ushiro Goshi.'

Ohma rolled in mid-air and landed back on his feet.

"You have Saigo's octopus feet and his cat ability," Kanou said. "Lucky bastard."

"What is he talking about?" Kenichi looked to Akisame for an answer.

"Shiro Saigo was from the original generation of Judo practitioners," Akisame replied, "He was a man of extreme agility, Shiro was known for the nickname of 'Cat' due to his skill to land on his feet when thrown, a skill he had observed in actual cats and that he trained by jumping off the second floor of a building. He was also known as 'Octopus Feet' for his ability to avoid losing his footing against larger opponents."

"It was a mistake," Kanou said. "It won't happen again."

Ohma sighed, "You sound like a pretty sore loser right now."

The struggle started again, Kanou tried to grapple but Ohma seemingly effortlessly slipped through them. Kanou tried to again and again but Ohma easily slipped through. Kanou lunged and tried to grab Ohma again.

'This is what I was looking for.' Ohma grabbed Kanou's wrist before he could. Then pulled him down, throwing him to the ground on his face.

'Redirection Kata: Weeping Willow.'

"Now this a throw," Ohma said.

Kanou slowly got up with a split on the forehead and cheek, blood flowing but his face showed no pain.

Ohma remarked, "You tougher than I give you credit for."

"Of course I am," Kanou said, "No throw will break my iron body."

Then suddenly Kanou lunged from the fallen position and grabbed hold of Ohma by surprise.

"You have my respect, midget." Kanou said, "now have a taste of ultimate technique."

Kanou grabbed Ohma by his shoulder and arm with each hand placing him in an elbow lock. Before stepping under Ohma's arms with a side step while applying pressure on his neck from the collar bone while simultaneously twisting his arm.

'Step 1 done.'

Then he lifted his Ohma from where his hip made contact with him.

'Step 2.'

"Take this!" Kanou screamed as picked up Ohma and there him forward by shifting his own weight forward while pulling him down on his head with both hands in one continuous movement.

'Step 3 done.'

"Mountain Storm." Kanou roared.

'Judo: Yama Arashi.'

Ohma twisted his body at the movement at the last moment, taking the impact upper back first instead of the head. Then Ohma came crashing down hard, limbs spread, eyes closed, knocked out.

"It's over." Akisame sighed. "I didn't think I would see the original Yama Arashi here; the mountain storm, a technique from Jujutsu incorporated into Judo by Shiro Saigo, now seemingly lost from the mainstream Judo. It throws someone with a force similar to a catapult."

"No, it's not." The Elder said. "Looking over there."

"It's not over yet," Ohma shouted and jumped back onto his fist. He grinned full of energy, in contrast to his state just moments ago.

"His body is performing an autophagy," Akisame remarked in surprise.

Kenichi asked, "Auto- what?"

"In a life and death situation body breaks down the housekeeping proteins and allocates them to basic life functions, giving a short temporary boost of energy."

"It's more than that." The Elder remarked. "Look at him."

At that moment, a strange jolt of energy like electricity filled Ohma, he felt he could see better, hear better, taste better, and feel his surrounding like it was part of him.

"It's the awakening of Sei Ki, it's fully activating his brain again."

Kanou was caught off guard by this, before he could react Ohma lunged at him and pulled him forward by his collar.

'Time for my orignal. Weeping willow to manipulate the opponent's flow of power forward.'

Before Kanou could shift his weight back to the counter, Ohma slammed his palm onto his midsection.

'A short-range Chi Blockage to stun the opponent.'

Ohma then grabbed Kanou's arm while simultaneously pulling forward and twisted it.

'Entanglement to cause dislocation of joints.'

With one motion hip toss Ohma flipped Kanou over his back.

'Change of Scenery to flip the opponent over.'

Then he slammed him to the ground while pressing his palm on his chest.

'A full contact Chi Blockage to suppress the autonomic nervous system.'

'Redirection Kata: Floating Cloud.'

With that Kanou was knocked out, unconscious, and unable to move.

"I win," Ohma said before falling to his knees.
