Find the weak point

Maddy is now inside the ring with her opponent from block 3 and they are now fighting each other.

I decided to watch their match because I might get something from them that I can use during my fight. We got different mentors so there's a possibility that our fighting style might be different.

Every punch that the fighters are throwing can easily break the bone of a normal human being. But they are like monsters so it has no effect on them that much. Few minutes later, they are starting to gasp some air. They seem exhausted of the never-ending fight and their attacks are getting heavier and stronger as if trying to end their opponent in one blow. But the fight did not end that long.

Everyone on the colosseum started screaming once Maddy knocked her opponent out. She got bruises all over her body and her lips is bleeding but that doesn't seem to bother her. She smiled victoriously and looked around. Her eyes met mine and she smirked as if trying to tell me "Bet you can't do that"

Using your powers in this round isn't prohibited but Maddy didn't even try to manipulate the water. She fought using only her fists and kicks. She became more stronger than we first met. I don't even know if I can win if we fight right now. But hey, I became stronger too!

Now all I want to do is win the second round because I can't let this day end without having to fight Maddy.

The announcer said there will be a ten-minute break so I decided to go back to the room to get myself ready. I composed myself and I meditated until the announcer told us to get inside the ring.

I can do this!

I went inside the ring and saw my opponent from block 4 at the center. He looks so strong and his aura is trying to intimidate me but I did not budge.

"With or without powers?" he asked me. What does he mean by that?

"I am just afraid you can't walk for days after this fight" is he threatening me?

"Suit yourself. Victory will be mine" I said and attacked him first. I plan to not use my powers against this guy because that would be a waste. I want him to have a taste of his own conceitedness.

We kept throwing punches and kicks. Some of them landed and hit us but some of it did not. His moves are quicker than any participants but I am thankful my sensum can keep up. He started to get pissed because his attacks can't hit me. I threw a jab at him and it hit his face.

I smirked and threw another punch at his solar plexus but he stepped back and avoided my attack. He took a step forward and punched me in the stomach. I was caught off-guard that's why I wasn't able to avoid it. I lost my breath for a while. I can feel that my body is now emitting steam but I suppressed it back. I am not going to use you right now.

He threw another punch and hit me in my face. My body is so focused on suppressing my power that I did not see his attacks coming. I almost lost my balance but I stood still. He threw another jab and I am aware of it but I wasn't able to dodge it. Why won't my body move?

I received countless of blows but I stood still. I can feel the pain all over my body and I feel like some of my bones broke. I was so focused on suppressing my power that I let my body get beaten. He threw another left hook and hit me on my face. I fell to the ground but I was able to support my body with my free hand.

Everyone in the colosseum went wild because of the fight. I am getting beaten and my opponent is smirking right now. I am trying to find his weakness point so I could deliver my finishing blow.

I remember fighting Dan during our training. John kept on telling me to find his weak points and attack it so I can knock him out. But it wasn't that easy. Dan has no weak points, that is what I thought until I noticed that he keeps on avoiding my attack when I try to punch his torso on the left side. I tried to confuse him and threw an upper cut using my left hand and when he tried to block it, I punched his left side torso with all my strength. He fell to the ground and John congratulated me. I wasn't able to beat Dan at that time but I was able to inflict damage.

"You got time to daydream but got no time to attack?" I went back to the reality when my opponent talked.

Where is his weak point? Try to remember your attacks Frey! What part of his body is he protecting? He received all of my blows earlier… except on that part. I stood up and shook the dirt off my body. I wiped the blood in my lips and composed myself. I gestured him to come near using my index and middle finger and he obliged. He rushed to me trying to throw his final blow but my sensum is now at work so I was able to dodge it. I punched him countless times and tried to attack him on some part of his chest to confirm something. He blocked my attack using his two hands so I used my left hand to punch him in his face.

He took a step back and almost lost his balance.

Bingo!

I approached him and sent countless attacks again to make him busy. I threw a left hook but he blocked it with his two hands. For one second, his chest was wide open so I took that chance to land a heavy blow at his solar plexus. He coughed some blood and lost his breath for a while I so kept on attacking his weak point until he fell to the ground and lost his consciousness.

"WHOAAA!"

The colosseum was filled with applause and cheering.

The announcer said something but I didn't hear it because of the people's noise. I went back to the waiting room and let the healer heal me.

After healing my wounds and injuries, I changed my clothes again because the last one was filled with dirt and some parts were ripped off. I saw Adam and Avah entered the room and approach me.

"You really want to get into Maddy's nerve huh?" Avah asked while raising her brows. I just chuckled and started covering my hands with gauze.

"You have a one-hour break, what do you want to do?" Adam asked me.

"One-hour break?" is that what the announcer said earlier?

"Yes. They are making a ring that is perfect for your powers and it will be bigger than before since this the last round" this combat training really is a big event, huh?

"I don't have something in mind, and I don't think I want to do anything right now since I still have a fight later." I explained to them. I have to prepare myself since I'll be fighting Maddy. I don't want to look coward in front of her.

They stayed with me the whole hour and we just kept on laughing and chatting the whole time. I also found out that Adam wasn't the winner of their combat training because he lost to some guy who is more powerful than him. I was curious so I asked about the guy but they said he went into a special mission just recently.

"It's almost time, you should get ready." Avah said and they left to find their seats inside the colosseum already.

I already prepared myself for the worst thing to happen during our fight. I don't expect to win this but I definitely don't want to be the only one who will go home with scars.

"Entering the ring are two fierce women who have totally opposite power! Who will win and who will lose? That is still a mystery as of this moment. So, what are we waiting for? Let us all witness this fight we haven't seen in many years!"

After the announcer's speech, we are already on the center of this wide ring. The smirk on her face is still there but I decided to let it pass. I should focus more on what she can do because my enemy is now in front of me.
