Chapter 33: We are at war

Asher smiled wryly as the magicians from the magic law enforcement union were moving closer to the house and they couldn't escape.

" Why are we even running from them? We can just tell them that we just arrived." Asher said.

" I am avoiding the enforcement union because I have done some bad things in the past and you are a Vampire so catching us means trouble." Elina responded before the door to the house was broken down by a fire spell and six mages entered the house.

" Get down now!" One of the mages shouted as he walked into the house, Asher and Elina knelt down seeing the mages ready to blast them into pieces if they made any move to escape. The six mages cuffed the both of them with a cuff that suppressed supernatural abilities and they took them out of the house before taking them towards a large black van.

" This is the elemental sword that was stolen." One of the six mages recognized the sword that he snatched from Asher. When they got outside, he handed the sword to the leader of the operation and Asher noticed joy on their faces after seizing the sword from him.

" So you were the one that stole the sword." The leader of the operation said to Asher before glancing towards Elina and mild surprise covered his face after seeing Elina.

" We finally caught you Elina." The man said and he chuckled loudly before putting the elemental sword away.

" I don't believe that you will stoop so low to mingle with someone that stole the elemental sword. " The man sneered.

" You still talk too much." Elina snapped at the man with anger.

" Take them into the van." The man said and they were both taken into the black van and they were driven away.

" Do they think we can't break through this van?" Asher sneered as he looked around the van.

" It's impossible, first our powers are restrained and this van is made with a very strong magical material that only a constellation mage and witch can break through and it is padded with magic nullifying steel." Elina responded as she sighed.

" I worry for you." Elina muttered.

" Why?" Asher asked curiously.

" They are searching for you and now they have caught you, you will be taken to a laboratory where you will experiment on." Elina revealed to Asher and a shiver ran through his spine, he didn't know they had these kinds of plans for him.

" I have to get stronger." Asher muttered under his breath with a determined tone.

" What did you say?" Elina asked but Asher didn't tell her anything. Minutes later, the van suddenly stopped and they heard loud explosive sounds outside.

" Some guys are attacking us." Elina said.

" Who will dare attack the enforcement union?" Asher added.

" A lot of maniacs are willing to do that." Elina said with a hollow laugh. Suddenly, the door to the van was ripped open by a large blue tentacle and they saw a man outside the van with four tentacles on his back.

" Do you need an invitation before you get your ass out here?" The man with the tentacles shouted at Asher and Elina. They both jumped out of the van and they saw about twenty mages and witches attacking the magic enforcers.

" Who sent you?" Elina asked calmly.

" I don't think that matters now, what matters is getting you out of here in one piece." The man retorted as he snapped the cuff on their hands with his tentacles.

" Timi! Get over here now." The man with the tentacles shouted into the air and a weird look appeared on Asher and Elina's face because nobody was beside him, yet he was shouting like someone was with him. Few seconds later, a silver portal appeared and a man walked out of the portal with the elemental sword in his hands.

" That's the…" Asher said as he recognized the sword but he was cut short as the man threw the sword at him. The man turned around and he made another portal.

" Now get into the portal." The man said to Asher and Elina but both of them didn't move an inch.

" Why aren't you leaving?!" The man with the tentacles shrieked.

" We don't trust you, we might just land in the midst of the enemies after jumping into the portal." Elina responded.

" That won't happen." The man that created the portal said calmly before glancing behind him and he saw the enforcers closing in on them.

" Make it quick." He added and Elina pulled Asher before jumping into the portal. Seconds later, they landed in a large warehouse.

" Where the fu*k are we?" Asher muttered as he looked around.

" Welcome." They both heard Sunny and they turned to face him.

" I am happy that it's you that saved us." Elina said with relief.

" I hope you guys are okay."

" Yes we are okay." Asher said and he noticed dozens of supernaturals around the warehouse.

" Why did you attack the enforcers and why the large numbers of supernaturals?" Elina asked.

" We are at war." Sunny said with a smile.

" I see." Elina muttered and she turned to face Asher.

" Let's go hunt some beasts and upgrade your weapon." Elina suggested.

" Sure, let's go." Asher agreed.

" Sunny, we have to get something done." Elina informed Sunny and she left the warehouse with Asher, going to hunt beasts.

Two men with large coats and black hats stood under the heavy rain as they watched some mages carrying something inside a large truck.

" Shawn, do you know that they are loading king tier beasts crystals? How they killed so many beasts with their meagre strength is surprising but we are not here to take the crystals but pass a message." One of the men said to Shawn that stood beside him without any expression.

" I want you to kill them all." The man said to Shawn and Shawn's eyes darkened before walking towards the mages. Before the mages noticed him walking towards them, he controlled the water and air around him and he conjured hundreds of ice spikes before throwing them towards the mages.

The mages noticed the cold deadly aura moving closer to them and they saw the ice spikes flying with high speed towards them and they quickly conjured shields while some tried to dodge. But they weren't expecting the attack and the ice spikes killed twenty mages instantly! Other mages that didn't die quickly recovered and they casted offensive spells but before they could complete their spells, Shawn already froze their legs to the ground.

Shawn turned the area around the mages into a terrifying blizzard that interrupted the spells of the mages before intensifying the blizzard that turned the mages to ice statues in seconds. The terrifying strength of Shawn mildly surprised the man that was controlling him, he just killed thirty mages in three minutes without breaking a sweat.
