Chapter 7: Helping Hand

 It has been a year since Ash was born, Aaron has been training with his father in preparation for his coming of age as it would be in 6 more years. Saffiyah has fully recovered from her injuries a year ago. Marilda was the main one watching over Ash while her parents focused on training Aaron.

 "So, She's finally become self-aware" said Grimoire as when Ash was asleep she drifted out of being in control of her body. This was the first time this happened and Grimoire identified it as going into someone's subconscious, or rather she heard his mother talking to Aaron about that as training mana capacity was very important and meditating in one's mana pool was the fastest way to cultivate it. Taking this chance, Grimoire went over to Ash, shaking her awake, "Wha, who arbb uu?" Said Ash in a babble. "Follow me" said Grimoire as she dragged Ash to their mana pool. Once both of them were inside Ash and Grimoires mana pools circulated in a rapid pace, giving the both of them a feeling of comfort. "This is a mana pool" said Grimoire, "Mana Pool?" Said Ash unintelligently. 

 Feeling a little annoyed, Grimoire manipulated Ash's mana to go through her White Flamed Orb, taking on the effect of a white blaze that ash fell as an effect, Ash made a baffled face as this was the first time she's seen such a flame. Accustomed to her mothers red flames when she would teach Aaron. Manipulating the flames to take many shapes and playing around with it, Grimoire managed to get all of Ash's attention. This enticed Ash to try it for himself, slowly moving a single string of mana around and not being able to control it. Following this, Grimoire noticed a cracked orb appearing in Ash's Mana pool, as Ash got better at controlling the single string, missing the White Flamed orb many times, the small fractured orb slowly started being pieced together. "Interesting" Said Grimoire, as she continued to watch as Ash struggled to move the single strand of mana, getting better and better at a rapid rate. 

 After an hour of trying, Grimoire noticed the fragmented orb fully formed, it was when Ash finally brought the string of mana through her White Flame orb. It had a much much stronger effect than when Grimoire did it. Amazed by this, Ash all of a sudden tugged on the bond between them, all of a sudden, Grimoires mana pool appeared right next to ash, making the circulation of both mana pools rush like a river. 

*Ash's physical body*

 On Ash's body, Grimoire's markings appeared but then disappeared. White flames and a Miasma erupted but did not affect Ash's surroundings as it was a transparent aura. Due to this violent eruption, the whole village went into panic, not because of the pressure of power, but how it was so sudden. Sending the village of Redstone into max security for a week.

*Back in the mana pools*

 Both Ash and Grimoires mana pools erupted with mana as they both were circulating mana at a scarily fast rate. Both of their manas reached a level that surpassed even their mom, however the circulation speed slowed down, faster than before their fusion but much slower than what just happened. Grimoire was amazed as she could feel the huge jump in mana capacity, while Ash looked dumbfounded. "Grimoire? Is that your name? Are you my familiar?" said Ash in a shocked stare. Grimoire as well was shocked because ash would normally talk in a babble. "So that's my name, I heard it when we were born but I wasn't focused at the time" said Grimoire. "How did you train your mastery?" Said Ash as she stared at Grimoires mana pool, "Well, when we appeared you were asleep the whole time, and since you didn't appear in your subconscious till now, I was just busy practicing.

 "Oh, Can you please teach me?" said Ash in a determined tone. "Sure", Said Grimoire with a smug face. Noticing how both mana pools were now surrounded by a thin dome within their subconscious. Going to the space where there was nothing, Grimoire started manipulating his energy in all sorts of ways, as Ash tried to do the same. "Just follow how I manipulate my mana, It's easy" Said Grimoire while laughing at Ash's attempts. "Don't force it, let your mana flow", said Grimoire as he remembered how much he struggled when manipulating mana. When Ash had a basic understanding of what Grim told him, she was able to manipulate her mana into rough shapes and manifest it in the most basic ways. When Ash started manipulating his mana better, Grim had an idea, "Hey, wanna throw our mana at each other? "said Grimoire smiling. "Sure" said Ash who also had a grin.

 Spears of white flames appeared around Ash, Grimoire formed a bigger spear of his Corruption ability. Both attacks were sent at the same time, Grimoire's attack easily outpowered Ash's attack as her smaller spears were like a mist and not dense enough to withstand the gigantic spear that was as dense as metal. "Heh, let's get back to practice" Said Grim who had a wide toothy smile, "What, no way" Said Ash who was shocked at how easily she was beaten. "Hey Ash, regain control of our body and try manifesting your mana, there's things I wanna test" said Grim. "Sure, let's go!" Said Ash.
