Chapter 27: Dance of Spears

*Hello, this will be the last chapter of Aaron and Maxims spar. I consider this as a test chapter for my ability to write action scenes and am asking for tips and advice. Thank you for reading!*

After he picked up his spear, Aaron made a dash towards his father, he sent an horizontal slash at his father's head. Maxim ducked the attack and took out a wooden spear of his own from his space bag. Performing a diagonal slash towards Aaron who immediately leaped thanks to his newfound increased reaction speed from his flow state. Aaron performed a front flip and landed, pivoting to face his father, the both of them dashed towards each and, Max performed a simple slash to which Aaron perfectly countered, shocking Max, Max did a full 360 and performed a backslash heading towards Aarons shoulder. To which Aaron surprised his father yet again by using the butt of his spear to parry. All of this shocked Saffiyah and the old lady, Ash's eyes were too slow to be able to track what was going on. Max responded to the parry by dropping to the ground and sending another roundhouse, Aaron saw this instantly and leaped towards the roof of the barrier, he then did a deep squat and launched himself again, performing a heavy stab. Max was not surprised and was focused on the spar, controlling his center of gravity and stabbed his spear at Aaron. Two spearheads collided perfectly, Aaron then sweeped his spear, this parried Max's spear and sent him wobbling backwards, Aaron landed and dashed towards his father, performing a spin and swinging his spear with a horizontal force, Max caught himself and dodged backwards, missing the spear. Max then stopped his momentum and launched himself at Aaron, performing a sidekick with his boots heading straight for Aarons face. Due to his momentum, Aaron blocked with his spear and was sent backwards, the both of them in a stalemate. 

Both of them recovered themselves and dashed into each other, when all of a sudden. "STOP YOU TWO!" hollered the elderly woman. "ARE YOU TWO TRYING TO KILL EACH OTHER" Max and Aaron both stopped themselves, once Aaron stopped he dropped dead, Saffiyah used wind magic to catch him and hover him towards her. She then fed him a mana recovery pill, Saffiyah walked over towards Max, slapping him on the face. "Go back to the house". Max nodded intensely and headed home, receiving a mean look from the elderly lady. "Once your boy recovers, we can start the next exam. I do have to say though Saffiyah, Aaron is a natural" exclaimed the old lady. "Thanks Gloria, let's go back inside and have a cup of tea while we wait for Aaron to recover" The both of them walked inside of Glorias office, Saffiyah carrying Ash who was in a daze due to the fight she just witnessed and a knocked out Aaron who was sleeping on wind.
