Chapter 19

"Sure, sounds fun." you replied.

"Awesome, you using that strong looking Charmeleon you've got there?" he asked, not bothering to change his pokeball.

Eh, did he have an advantage over Charmeleon with whatever was in there? Probably a water type you guessed if so.

"Nah, I'm wanting to test out one of my new pokemon," you replied, lifting Electabuzz's pokeball from your belt, "So how we doing this?"

"Eh, one on one should be good," Danny replied, "On the count of 3?"

"On three." you agreed. The awesome thing about this battle area, is that you could just battle wherever, you didn't need to go find some battlefield out of the way.

On three, you both released your pokemon.

"Let's go Electabuzz!" you declared, releasing your pokemon, who imediately began winding his arms around in excitement.

"Fearow, I need your assistance!" Danny released his own into the air, a large, powerful Fearow much bigger than the one you had seen atop the Diglett Cave.

"ROW!" it cawed, beating its wings powerfully in the air.

"An electric type eh?" Danny mused, eyeing your pokemon with a smile, "Not ideal, but we can take it can't we Fearow?"

"Row!" the large bird barked, diving down to land on the ground confidently. And it was then you saw just how big it was. Roosting on its feet, it was easily over seven feet in height, and its beak had to be over a foot long.

This guy isn't any weakling.

"Then you won't mind if I start things off will you?" you asked confidentally excitement filling your body. When he just shrugged, you took that as your go ahead, "Electabuzz, Thunderbolt!"

"Briii!" Arms already whirling, it took maybe a second at most for the electric type to conjure up the massive aura of electrical power, and with a dual thrust of his thick arms, it shot toward Fearow, racing over in the time it took to blink.

"Steel Wing!" Danner countered, not calling for a dodge to your utter surprise.

Fearow shouted, wings flaring out, each easily spanning over ten feet each, and gleaming with a silver glow, and then promptly stabbed its wings into the ground just as the thunderbolt struck the bird.

It was pushed back, wings tearing small trenches in the ground, but when the attack ended a few seconds later, Fearow merely shook its long neck and head, looking no worse for wear at all.

"...bri?" Electabuzz muttered quietly, staring at Fearow dumbly. And you weren't doing much better yourself.

"How the?" you asked.

Danny laughed, "That's a little trick I picked up fighting the flying the flying type gym down leader at Aqua Town," he explained. Aqua Town, it wasn't far from here actually, on the other side of the Battle Area, it led to two intersects out over the ocean, one that led down towards Aqua town, and after it Fuschia City, or upwards to Lavender Town. "The thing is, Steel Type energy is a natural conductor for electric type attacks, and it can be used to ground electric attacks into the ground as well to avoid being hurt by them, granted it doesn't do anything about the pure force behind the attacks, but still."

...Good to know. When you taught Charmeleon Metal Claw you'd put it to good use with his Thunderpunch. But for now, you have a battle to win.

"Snap out of it," you ordered Electabuzz and pointed at the Fearow, "Swift, then Teleport above it and Fire Punch it, once you get it loose you can finish it off with a Thunderbolt." you continued quietly.

"Brrii!" Electabuzz snapped out of it and nodded at you once, before stepping forward, conjuring a rain of energy stars that shot towards Fearow like spinning bullets.

"Oh? Danny raised an eyebrow, "Mirror Move!"

Fearow's eyes flashed silver, and then an identical rain of stars were fired from its wings with two powerful beats as it pulled them out of the ground.

Each identical star smashed into the other, causing you to blink.

"That's another trick I picked up," Danny laughed, "Mirror Move can be used to fire an identical attack in a reflected direction, in this case, Fearow shot down every bit of that Swift with an identical one, instead of just using the Swift attack he already knows."

Very good to know. But what was with this guy, he kept explaining his strategies when they worked.

"I'll keep that in mind." you smirked.

Danny blinked right then, and then noticed that Electabuzz wasn't in front of you anymore.

"Buzz!" Electabuzz blipped into existence right above Fearow, lashing out with a flame coated fist that smashed the graceful necked flying type into the ground hard enough to crater.

Showing its power, the Fearow near shook it off, pushing up on its wings, but the opening was enough. Electabuzz followed it down, driving his full body weight onto the bird and latching around its body with his own, pinning it.

Then he lit himself up like a Christmas tree.

"Roooooooow!" Fearow screamed as it was shocked silly by the massive, powerful aura of electricity Electabuzz conjured around them both. It struggled mightily, but with its awkward positioning, and wings snapped shut, Electabuzz managed to keep a hold of it long enough until it fell limp a good ten seconds later under the constant shock treatment.

"Oh no, Fearow!" Danny yelped, lifting his pokeball and returning it.

Electabuzz bounced up, beating his chest and roaring in victory, "Briiii!"

"You really do need to stop just explaining everything to your opponents brother," a feminine voice commented from behind Danny, "It's why I've been able to catch up to you in badges despite you starting a year before me." walking up behind Danny and taking place at his side, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, was a tall, lovely long haired brunette girl of about the same age as the guy you just defeated, dressed in similar clothing.

"I can't help it," Danny whined a bit with a pout, seeming to be all in good humour though, "We worked hard on these abilities, I like to brag about how amazing my pokemon are and how hard they've worked, is that so bad?"

"No, but maybe save it for after the battle?" she teased him, before turning to you, and you noted, like her brother, she was holding a pokeball of her own, "Hey, so you beat my big brother, how about taking me on next and letting me get a chance at revenge, eh cutie?" she winked.

Danny groaned, "Stop flirting with him Jenna," he fake gagged, "Or at least wait till I'm not around first, I don't need to hear my sister explain why she'd be a great booty call.

Jenna laughed it off, "I'm not trying to flirt the kid into bed with me," she responded, and Danny sighed in relief, "We're heading out towards Lavender in an hour remember? Otherwise, I'd see if he had an empty spot available in his bed tonight." she blew a teasing kiss at you and wiggled her eyebrows.

Danny choked, "Oh nasty."

You decided to jump in on the joke, "Yeah, an hour is definitely not enough time time," you nodded, "I'd still be bouncing her up and down on my dick this time tomorrow."

"Yep, I'm out." Danny shook his head, sticking his fingers in his years, "Don't need to hear this, lalalala." and then he walked off.

Jenna laughed more, "A bit of a too out there boast for him to really believe, but it got the job done." she stated.

You raised a challenging eyebrow, "You think I was kidding?" you asked, shaking your head. You really weren't. Sure there'd be stopping for some food, water and bathroom breaks, but you had endurance in spades, enough to put some pokemon to shame.

"Yup." Jenna popped her lips as she replied, "Don't get me wrong, I love to fuck, but no guy I've ever been with has ever lasted three hours straight never mind a whole day, but anyway, you up for this battle cute stuff?"
