Turn of Events

The two middle-aged men demanded Vernisia be handed over to them before they created a giant dark cloud above the courtyard by using some spell.

Cargil, Touma, Merax, Blondina, and Raven were shocked to see the power they sensed from the dark cloud.

Zevien and others could feel a threat to their life just by looking at that cloud.

However, there was no way Zevien would hand over Vernisia.

"Hand her over, or you all will die in mere seconds from the lightning bolts that will rain from that cloud."

"Zevien…I-I…" Vernisia looked at Zevien as she stammered. "I didn't do anything."

"I know. We don't know why they want you, but they will have to go over my dead body for that," Zevien said while gritting his teeth.

Vernisia was despairing because she didn't want Zevien to die.

"I will come with you," Vernisia said as she stepped forward.

"No!" Zevien shouted as he stood in front of her.
