CHANGING THE RULES

[ 2429 WORDS: AUTHOR-SAN - I know it's late, sorry I was busy earlier. Anyway honestly I didn't think I would take so many chapters just writing about stuff that's happening in the Frozen Ice Sect. I should be done with it in the next chapter ...I think anyway Ciao! ]

Nianci took a few moments but she soon nod her head in an agreement. "First of all my name is Mu Nianci...and although you told me your name you are still a stupid pervert." Nianci introduced herself while telling him that her nickname for him would be sticking around for a while.

Yuji's ignored the nickname as his smile grew wider hearing her introduce herself. "Its nice to finally know your name Mu Nianci. Now what would you like us to start with?" Yuji replied and as he spoke he moved over to her bed and sat down waiting for her answer.

Nianci watched and listened and as he finished talking and sat down, she did the same but she sat a few feet away from him. "I don't know where to start..." She replied in a helpless tone as she looked at the wall.

Yuji silently looked at her for a few moments then he spoke up. " For starters why don't we just spend time getting to know each other? One of the reasons you can't bring yourself to change the rules is because you distrust men. Not to say that it's wrong that you don't trust them in fact honestly I think it's good to have some level of distrust for men and even women in this world but that distrust shouldn't extend to you indiscriminately hating all men so why don't you talk to me for a while and get to know me so you can ease that distrust?" He proposed seeing as she didn't know what she should think about first.

Nianci turned to him with a contemplative look on her face while staying silent for a few moments. "Alright but you go first." As she agreed she nodded slightly to him.

"Well first of all I'm an orphan from a village and the only family I had was my adoptive grandfather but he passed away a few years ago. I worked my ass off to scrape by and make a living in the modern world....I even had a woman that I loved at one time which made it harder but I didn't care because I loved her, I devoted all my efforts to try make her happy.

I worked countless jobs, loved her with all my heart and did everything I possibly could for her to make sure she was happy... she was the only person left in the world I cared for afterall....but it wasn't enough I guess. Somewhere along our relationship she met the youngmaster of an influential family that liked her so she became his woman while keeping me on the side because she wanted his money.

Her two-timing relationship continued for months without me realising anything then one day I caught them. The moment I saw them I broke with her on the spot and I ruined their relationship by making it look as if she had been cheating on him with me. I left the city completely heartbroken because I couldn't stand how disgusting the women in this world were which got me to distrust them just as much as you do men because of how betrayed I felt.

I thought of my reasons to live for hours and the longer I did the more I lost the will to live but late at night ....on my way back to my village I met my Master who took me to begin my cultivation. He recognised my talent and took me in so I spent a few years with him but one day during my training I dreamt of my ancestor and he told me where to find the item I just came to pick up and he also gave me his inheritence, I continued training under my masters guidance then I came back not too long ago and along the way I met women who this time properly loved me for who I am and wouldn't abandon me for anything.

That's a basic summary of my life, I'm sure you can judge a good amount of my character from that and sorry to say but I can't tell you much more about my cultivation history because there are many dangerous secrets involved that may lead to your death and even the annihilation of your sect." Yuji explained the version of life Ye Chen would have gone through with a bit of exaggeration for extra effect with a small lie about how he met the Sage God and knew about the location of the Water Stone.

Nianci listened attentively to his story and was surprised to hear that he had such a past. She thought that considering his strength he must be someone from a powerful family or something and never thought her guess would be so wrong.

"By 'women' you mean you have multiple women by your side now?" Nianci asked since after listening to the whole story this was the only thing that made her uneasy.

Yuji nod his head at her question. " Yes I do. I have multiple future wives now. As for why, there's two reasons I do. First of all it's most importantly because we all love each other, they all agreed to treat each other as sisters and I treat them all equally with the same undying love. All of them are with me because they want to be, none of them were forced to so you don't have to worry..I'm not such a person. I can't tell you the other reason because it's related to my secrets" Yuji explained since he guessed she must think that the girls weren't happy with such a situation or were maybe even forced considering his strength.

Hearing his explanaition she was relieved that it wasn't the case she suspected. She wasn't particularly disturbed about the fact that he had multiple women because she knew that most strong men would instead she was worried about wether the women were happy with such a situation and were not forced.

" How did you overcome your distrust for women?" She asked now that her worries had been cleared.

Yuji shook his head at her question. "I didn't overcome it...." he replied and before he continued Nianci spoke up in a conflicted tone.

"Then what do I do?" She asked.

Yuji let out a sigh. " Just listen Mu Nianci, I didnt finish talking." He said to bring her attention back to what he said before she interrupted him.

Nianci nod her head and focused this time telling herself to wait until he's done talking to ask. "As I was saying, I didn't overcome my distrust towards women. What I did was simple, instead of blindly discriminating I observe to see who is worth my trust and who is not. Every decision they make, every word they say I consider everything and once I've gathered enough information about the character of that person and they are actually a good trustworthy person that's when I decide to let them get close to me." Yuji continued his explanaition hearing that she was once again paying attention to him.

Nianci this time listened to the whole explanaition without interrupting after hearing the explanaition she spoke up. " What you suggest I do is that instead of blindly discriminating against men, I should keep the bare minimum of relationships then over time judge their character based on what actions they make and words they say? I agree with the idea but I'm sure the luxury to do something like that isn't always going to be there for all men that we meet." She gave her own thoughts on his idea.

Yuji once again shook his head. " You misunderstood who exactly you would be using such a method for. What I mean to suggest is that sure you may act indifferent to all the men that you meet and stay dissociated with them all you want but the people that you should use such a method for are men that actively try to get close to you. You may disregard other men that you know you will never want to associate yourself with or men that leave horrible impressions but if they leave a decent impression on you and they are actively trying to get close to you that's when you should do what I suggested." He once again explained another misunderstanding she had and she listened with a bit of surprise from hearing that she once again misunderstood.

Her eyes widen in shock slightly hearing what he truly meant and she felt a large weight get lifted off her shoulders as she considered how what he proposed could be beneficial to her distrust of men."I understand, if it's that then I feel like I can accept revealing the true meaning to the rules." Nianci unconciously smiled lightly to herself because she felt relieved that she wasn't conflicted about it anymore and could honor her master's teachings.

Seeing that she was much more relaxed and her small beautiful smile even Yuji smiled. "Mu Nianci, you should smile more....you look beautiful like that." Yuji commented.

Nianci who was still in a daze because of her relief was brought back because of what Yuji said and she developed a light blush.

She had been called beautiful by countless men in the past because even though they never saw her face or died soon after they could tell but this was the first time that the word 'beautiful' sounded so good coming from a man.

"Stupid pervert why should I do what you want." She turned her head away from him as she responded because she didn't want him to see her blush....it was useless though because he saw it clearly.

'The ice-cold Mu Nianci can be cute sometimes.' Yuji thought to himself then spoke up. "So what have you decided to do about the rules?" Yuji asked to give her a way out.

Nianci didn't turn to him as she responded. "I would like to clear up the misunderstanding in the Sect but as the rules are right now it will be easy for future generations to misunderstand them like I have done so I want to change them around a bit but still maintain the intent behind them but I don't know how I should do it yet. " She replied.

Yuji went into his thought for a moment to think of a way to rephrase the rules so it would be easier. " How about this. Make the rules focus on body purity but don't misunderstand, I don't mean you should prohibit sexual relations but only if a man tries to violate or touch the bodies of the disciples with indecent intentions will they be killed. If a disciple finds a man they deem worthy of them and trustworthy then they may take some time away from the Sect to be with their partner and eventually return then from then on they will be allowed time away from the Sect regularly to visit them because men are prohibited from entering the sect. " Yuji gave his own idea on how the new rules should be.

While Yuji was talking Nianci listened but she was also calming herself down. She looked over to him as she thought about what she said and soon replied. "Why shouldn't sexual relations be prohibited? A virgin woman will progress faster than a non-virgin." Nianci asked about the only aspect which she had found a problem with.

As for the other parts even she could tell that this was probably the best idea they would come up with so she didn't protest.

Yuji shook his head and replied. "The decision should be left with the disciples on whether they will allow their partner to do it because prohibiting intercourse completely would cause problems in their relationships since it's one of the important aspects about it. Without it most men would feel neglected or unloved which will definitely cause a lot of distress in them eventually leading to the end of the relationship." Yuji explained.

Nianci thought about it for a few minutes then let out a helpless sigh. "We'll go with what you came up with...I don't see any other way to go about it...." She said after trying to think of a way around it but failing."....at least with this I can honour my masters teachings." As she said the last part she smiled beautifully again.

Seeing her smile again Yuji thought to himself. ' This trip was more worth it than I thought it would be.' then asked her. "Can I record your smile on an imaging stone? It's would be a shame to never see such a beautiful sight again." Yuji commented while using a bit of his KH technique.

Nianci's eyes widen much more than usual in shock hearing what he asked and she even blushed much more. "S-stupid pervert I'll kill you if you try record me!" Nianci exclaimed while stuttering because of the surprise as she once again turned her head away.

Yuji inwardly laughed at how she was acting and decided not to go any further. " Fine I won't but Mu Nianci, you haven't told me your story. I'm interested to know what happened in your past." Yuji said to give her a way out again since he knew nothing would come of excessively teasing her.

Hearing him ask about her past she turned to look at him despite still having a light blush on her cheeks. "Why would you be interested in my past when we've already decided what to do about the sect rules?" She asked curiously.

Yuji smiled hearing what she asked and said "It's simple really, I just want to get to know you better."

Nianci eyes widen slightly from surprise because she didn't expect him to say that. Honestly even she didn't know what answer she was expecting from him but she knew for sure she didn't expect him to say it was simply because he wanted to know her better.

She took a few moments but she calmed down then replied. " I don't have any interesting story. Most of my life has been spent cultivating in this room or fighting. It's nothing you would want to hear about." She replied to try get him to change his mind

" I actually do want to hear about it though" Yuji said in response to show that he wasn't going to let her off that easily.

Nianci looked at him silently for a few moments then gave in. " Fine...I'll talk."
