48 Bloodline Recognition

As the jade pendant began to glow faintly, an ethereal figure materialized from within. It was none other than Liang himself.

Surveying the battlefield in front of him for a moment, he then turned to Yang Wu. "Ensure to document everything in detail"

"After this battle, there's no need for shadowing Mi Ling any longer." As he uttered these words, his figure began to fade, eventually vanishing into thin air.

Yang Wu's eyes narrowed as he observed the unfolding skirmish, echoing his master's command under his breath— "Record everything?" Doubt laced his words as he continued, "Given the situation, I wonder if any of them will make it through the day. Judging by his bearing, the monk hasn't even begun to get serious..."

Liang's eyes were heavy as they slowly fluttered open, "That man... he's already reached the Dao integration realm."

Taking a moment to reflect, his expression transformed into one of determination. "With the completion of the first Refinement," he declared confidently, "I should now be more adept at cultivating the Space Rifts."

Closing his eyes, he allowed his consciousness to seep into the surrounding space. Gradually, the space began to distort, forming a small, irregular hole that constantly shifted in shape and size. After a while, it finally stabilized.

Opening his eyes, Liang released a breath of relief. "It took some time to stabilize, but I succeeded," he muttered.

Standing up, he approached the space rift cautiously. After a thorough examination, he nodded in approval. Retrieving a small dagger from his space ring, he infused a strand of his divine sense into it. With a flick of his hand, the dagger shot towards the space rift and disappeared within.

As he waited anxiously, Liang's eyes narrowed and a bitter smile formed on his lips. "I should have considered this earlier. My divine sense is not powerful enough to withstand the pressure of space during teleportation."

He clenched his fist in frustration, berating himself for overlooking such a crucial detail. However, he quickly composed himself, reminding himself that setbacks were a part of every cultivation journey.

"I need to strengthen my divine sense," Liang resolved, determination shining in his eyes. "Only then will I be able to fully utilize the power of the Space Rifts."

Before long, he found himself confronted with yet another complication. He lacked any methods or techniques capable of amplifying his divine sense to such an advanced level.

After some contemplation, an idea came to his mind. If he could improve his bloodline further, maybe he could obtain a technique or a method to enhance his divine sense further.

Liang's gaze then fell upon the jade container nestled within his space ring. With a determined expression, he retrieved it, carefully opening the lid to reveal three delicately suspended drops of crimson blood essence. They are the precious blood essence of the phoenix that he tirelessly acquired.

Taking a deep breath, Liang made his decision. He would use two of the drops to undergo a transformative process and strengthen his bloodline even further. The process was not without risks, but he was willing to take the chance for the sake of his cultivation.

First, he placed a drop of the crimson blood essence on his forehead. As soon as the essence made contact with his skin, a surge of heat spread throughout his body. The power contained within the drop started to merge with his blood, infusing him with fiery energy.

His veins seemed to come alive, pulsating with newfound strength as the essence assimilated into his bloodstream. It felt as though his very essence was being refined, his bloodline becoming purer and more potent.

After a moment, Liang picked up the second drop of crimson blood essence. This time, he applied it to the centre of his chest, right above his heart. The moment the essence touched his skin, a surge of energy coursed through his body, causing his heart to beat with incredible strength.

His bloodline surged, radiating a brilliant aura that surrounded him. He could feel the connection to his bloodline strengthening, Even his divine sense heightened a little, and his understanding of the void dao becoming clearer.

As the second drop of crimson blood essence merged with his bloodline, his entire being seemed to undergo a profound transformation.

After what seemed like an eternity encapsulated in mere moments, the ultimate phase of the process reached its completion. In the bowels of the still, hushed cave, Liang's ears began to perceive a symphony of disconcerting, alien sounds. At first, it was a faint murmur, like a whisper of a breeze, disregarded as irksome background noise; yet quick as abating thunder, it evolved into a disconcerting chorus of cracking that reverberated within the marrow of his bones.

Drawing a deep, anticipatory breath heavy with anxious resolve, he commenced the esoteric communication, tapping into an ethereal link that bound him to his ancient bloodline.

For a dreadfully long pause, there was nothing but disconcerting silence eddying within the cavernous expanse of his consciousness. Then, after countless attempts that seemed to merge into an aeon of reluctance, a booming sound - a primordial roar of recognition and acceptance - detonated through his mind's silent horizon, like the smashing of colossal celestial bodies.

Abruptly following this ephemeral moment of triumph and kin recognition, there surged a formidable storm of pain throughout his mind. Like a ravaging tempest underpinned by the strike of relentless thunderbolts, it was an omnipotent, mind-searing agony.

Before long, a torrent of memories and information, as if carried by a raging river, surged through his mind at an astonishing pace. It was as if his brain suddenly became a container for an endless stream of knowledge, inundating him with an unfathomable amount of data. Every inch of his consciousness seemed to be consumed by this overwhelming surge of information.

Through the relentless current of recollections and information, he remained focused, rooted like an ancient tree standing firm amidst a hurricane. Every whisper of thought, every nuance of insight they carried, he absorbed, immersing himself deeper into the labyrinth of his cognition.

And then it happened. A mysterious smile, enigmatic and profound spread across his countenance, gradually transforming his stoic expression into one of certainty. It was as if he had unravelled an elusive dilemma tucked away in a forgotten corner of his subconscious.

A singular, exceptional memory emerged from the tumultuous sea of thoughts, highlighted by the gleaming aura of understanding, It was a technique called the 'Void Form Refining Art'.
