Finally, a cultivation novel where Ye Chen isn’t constantly courting death. This novel started very strong and kept me hooked all the way to the current chapter. The characters feel like actual characters instead of being a op, one phrase, no substance garbage, with an mc tag. I wish there were more chapters but I know the author has a life, so I won’t complain:)
Such a great hidden gem! Really reocmmend this novel. currently it has 189 chapters that are 100% free to read (amazing!). It has not gone premium yet which is extremely surprising given the quality of the story. Grammar is great, the MC is great, and the updates are mostly once a day or once every orher day it seems. there’s consistency at least. only negative i would have is maybe the plot is sort of lame because the “mystery” doesnt really feel that interesting. It feels like its supposed to be some grand hidden battle of fate between good and evil top level forces of the universe taking place in the MC’s body but it kind of comes across a little silly. Not really grand or impactful to say the least with the way it is presented. I think maybe that is because we dont see those forces outside of the MC’s body at all. Like, theres no good and bad guys even at his level of power. Everyone is just mostly dog eat dog which isnt anything unusual for a cultivation movel. There’s also weird justice with blood cultivators being super evil and hated so that makes the MC a target. That makes things a little lame too tbh. Overall this is one of the better novels i am up to date and currently readIng with each new release. Give it a read!
Amazing start, has everything I look for in a novel. Great job Author, I can't wait to catch up in reading. For anyone contemplating reading this, here are some key takeaways: The world building is great and the descriptions of fights, landscape, characters, and power system are great and easy to understand. The fights (so far) are engaging and flow well. The action is easy to follow and fit with the character's style and knowledge at the time. The story and plot move quickly but it flows very well and it is easy to keep up with. Great job again, author. Character design was simple at the start but really took me by surprise when the character building began.
I honestly really like the writing style. It has all the elements I love about webnovels, but could maybe use a little bit more of that world building in the first few chapters to draw me in more, but other than that it's really good! I like the characters, and the conversations are definitely pulling me in. Again, I just want to see where I am a little more, but other than that so far so good! (I read up to chapter 13. I have a feeling it gets better and better.)
NEVER WROTE REVIWE ON BOOKS AND EVEN FIRST TIME READING BOOKS HEREEVERYTHING IS OP FROM SOLID STORY BUILDING TO PROPER MAIN CHARACTER BUILDING AND THE WRITING QUALITY IS ALSO TOP NOTCH...... JUST THE UPDATE STABILITY IS PROBLEM..... OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING'S 5 STAR ⭐[img=update][img=update][img=update][img=update][img=exp][img=exp][img=exp]
Hey author, this isn't a review, was just informing you that your story has been posted on amazon and is under the name of : Soul Master: A Wuxia/Xianxia Cultivation Novel. Written by Atticus Ronald. Just letting you know in case it's been plagiarised bro because that would suck. If you published it on kindle just delete this review pls.Cheers and keep up the good work.
I'll be honest with this The last 50 or so chapters have shown immense growth in comparison to earlier, and have been really good chapters The first 60 chapters were nothing chapters with just some chinese novel tropes joined together (the silk pants young master trope not being there is a huge plus) The next phase (70-150) frankly has a speedup in which the mc wins 2 tournaments he was not at all expected too, and a lot of things go down quickly The big issues being the major inclusion of fate, destiny and karma kinda makes the mc seem like an mc in the story which is never good, as hes just supposed to be another person but now basically gives off an mc aura The mc keeps winning, be it challenges or tournamemts, there isnt really a realistic up and down situation where he wins and loses and doesnt get all prizes by getting bump ups in cultivation somehow or the other The story kinda has a bias towards the mc with him holding grudges for things he or his family or his friends do as well but if the other side does it the mc must have revenge kinda hypocritical The biggest issue is the opportunities he gets, its like from the start he gets endgame things like a gift basket in terms of the number of things he has, it feels really wierd thinking what is he even supposed to find from now til the end when he already has endgame stuff already, very underwhelming I really hope there is more to this story than a my universe vs other universe ending ss that plot has already become overused with how many are doing it
