Truth and Contract (Long Talks)

"You are quite rude," said the rabbit, her voice tinged with dissatisfaction.

"Wait, wait, wait. Did you just read my thoughts?" Fang Xue asked, looking at the little rabbit, intrigued by its abilities but still skeptical about its claim to be a goddess.

"Hmpf, reading your thoughts is an easy thing for a goddess like me. I even know about your reincarnation and the fusion of two souls within you," snorted the rabbit, responding with disdain in its voice.

Contrary to the goddess's expectations, Fang Xue did not gaze at her with admiration or any similar expression. Instead, her face turned cold as ice, her eyes revealing a murderous intent.

While the rabbit was lost in thought, Fang Xue launched a surprise attack.

Snapping out of her reverie, the rabbit deflected the attack with relative ease, though still taken aback by its force.

"She just rebuilt her meridians and doesn't have an iota of Qi in her body, yet her attack matches that of someone at the second level of body training," thought the goddess, somewhat surprised by Fang Xue's strength.

"Calm down a bit, girl. If I wanted to kill you, I could easily do so," said Li Qiang, the Ancient Goddess of Chaos, in her rabbit form.

Taking a moment to compose herself, Fang Xue pondered over the rabbit's words and realized that she was right. Losing her temper and acting impulsively could lead to her demise in the midst of a battle. However, her deep-seated hatred for the gods was something she couldn't yet control.

"Ha... sorry for acting like that. Could you explain everything that's going on and why you are here?" said Fang Xue, apologizing and seeking more information about her current situation.

"It's okay... I apologize for testing you like that. First, my name is Li Qiang, the Ancient Goddess of Chaos. Currently, I exist in this form because I am only a fragment of my former self," Li Qiang explained, sighing wistfully at the end.

"Anyway, I can shed some light on certain matters, but most of my memories are currently sealed, so some information may be missing."

"In the past, I reigned supreme in this universe. The gods revered me, and the demons feared me. However, something changed, and an entity from outside this universe convinced the gods and demons to unite and attack me," recounted Li Qiang, her small purple eyes reflecting a mixture of nostalgia and a hint of murderous intent.

"But my strength surpassed their expectations. It was a brutal war until that entity from outside this universe decided to intervene. We fought for nine years, but there was no clear winner. Eventually, it employed a strange technique that split my body and soul into four parts, sealing them in different locations. Fortunately, a portion of my soul managed to escape the seal and fell into the mortal world," finished Li Qiang.

Listening attentively to the story, Fang Xue felt a mix of surprise and confusion. Instead of clarifying everything, it only raised more questions.

"Wait a moment, I remember my mother telling me about the origin of Hell. It was said that an ancient, powerful sect once occupied this place, dominating about one-third of the continent. One day, something fell here and annihilated half of the sect, while the remaining half was gradually consumed by a potent energy, resulting in the creation of the current Hell," recalled Fang Xue, her voice tinged with melancholy as she remembered her mother's tale.

"Exactly, that 'something' was me. I fell into this place, and my soul was so powerful that even in my weakened state, my aura was enough to create what you now call 'Hell'," Li Qiang stated, pride resonating in her voice as she reminisced about her former strength.

"Okay, but how does all of this relate to me?" Fang Xue asked, confused about her involvement in this situation.

"Simple. That entity manipulated the gods into bringing souls from different worlds and pitting them against each other in a competition. Each god would support one individual, and in the end, the entity aimed to steal their young bodies brimming with potential, transcending beyond this universe," explained Li Qiang, not concealing her disdain for the foolish gods.

Realizing that the destruction of Earth was not accidental and that they were mere pawns in a larger scheme, Fang Xue felt anger welling up within her. However, she still couldn't comprehend why she had been rejected in such a manner.

"Do you wonder why you weren't placed on this grand chessboard? It's simple. You are someone without destiny, just like me. That's why they fear you more than anything. You are an unpredictable variable they cannot control," declared Li Qiang with ease.

"I understand some things now, but I still don't grasp why you mentioned that those gods are being manipulated by that entity," Fang Xue said, her confusion evident.

"Those foolish gods believe they will grow stronger and venture beyond this universe, but they are nothing more than pawns in the game of that entity. I don't know its intentions, but I am certain they are far from benevolent," expressed Li Qiang, anger seeping into her voice.

"Well, regardless of that entity's desires, I will simply grow stronger and surpass everyone, whether they be mortals, gods, or higher beings. Anyone who stands in my way will become a stepping stone on my path to the top," declared Fang Xue, her voice radiating pure confidence and unwavering determination, as if her ascent to supremacy was an indisputable fact.

To some, these words might seem empty and foolish, but to Li Qiang, an ancient Goddess who once reigned supreme, they carried an essence that not even the gods possessed—a commanding aura capable of making Heaven, Earth, or any existence kneel before Fang Xue.

"What was that? I felt like an ant, even at my peak, I would be nothing in the face of that aura," thought Li Qiang, her soul trembling in fear at what she had just experienced.

"Nice words, but let's get to the main point. Do you want to make a contract with me?" Li Qiang said, trying to steer the conversation back on track, not eager to encounter that terrifying aura again.
