In the middle of the night, Morlock felt the summons.
The tug on his soul, the source of his ether, that he'd given over the Master, to his Father, with a vow.
As he dressed, he pondered the wondrous thing that was the vow. The thing that connected him to Father and, through him, to his siblings.
Siblings of the race of the strong. The ones destined to own the world.
He stepped out into the hall dressed in a form-hugging suit. Since taking the right to ascend from his peers, and even his own brother, he had never known a day without being dressed at his very best.
He was Father's favorite, after all.
