Chapter 4 - The Scream

" So, auntie was a Psychologist and also your uncle." Luis's clarified.

" And this portfolio is all about the data and information of the patients. " Psy said while checking every paper.

" Is this real? " Mavis asked.

" I guess, it is. " Callie answered.

" Yes, it has a date on it and base on the year. It's almost 23 years ago. " Ryle said.

" Look what I found. "

Psy caught our attention.

" in this page, it's kinda creepy. " Psy said.

" Let me read it. " Abbie said.

" 74th Day. She's being more aggressive than ever. I can no longer control her. She's always screaming and chanting unfamiliar words. She's telling me something that I couldn't understand. Every time she said it, she's crying and her nose is bleeding. She also harms herself, grabbing her hair. Scratching her arms and legs until it bleeds. I tried to help her to stay calm, but she scratched my arm and she screamed at me. Every midnight her eyes are turning white and her voice are changing into a deep tone. She also crying for help because her stomach hurts so bad. If I want to come closer to her, she's telling me not to, because I'll be in danger. Her condition is getting worst. I think there's something wrong with her that can't explain by science- "

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Abbie stopped as we heard someone scream.

" What the f**k is that? " Jake asked angrily.

We immediately stand up and get close to each other so we could protect one of us

" Ok, ahmm. Girls, don't you dare go somewhere. We'll just check who's that person."  Ayron said they checked it up together with Ryle and Luke.

While Luis, Khenjo, and Jake stayed to protect us.

Not thinking of something, I suddenly run towards the tent and grabbed my cam recorder.

" Lean! What the hell! " Jake suddenly grabbed me.

" What? " I asked with a confused look.

He grabbed his hair with irritation and stared at me.

"Are you out of your mind! We are in a bad situation right now and you have the guts to record?" He said as he burst out angrily.

" For documentary. " I said

As I said that I turned on my cam recorder. There's night vision so whether there's no flashlight I still could see the surroundings also if there's a person in the dark.

" There's no one. " Ryle said angrily.

" How come? Some just screamed a while ago? " Callie said she's also confused about what's going on.

" Was it all just an imagination? "  Psy said.

" I guess, you didn't check properly! " Mavis said as she begin to get irritated.

" I don't know, we didn't see anything or anyone!" Ryle said.

While they are arguing about what happened a while ago. I walk towards the trees and start recording again.

"Ahmmm. We just heard a scream a while ago,  My friends searched the woods and they didn't find anything or anyone who caused it."

I was just filming, I didn't notice that I was lost. I got nervous because I can no longer see any light even the fire in our camp are nowhere to sight. I was about to cry when someone grabbed me and shut my mouth with his hand.

I was about to scream when suddenly, I smelled him familiar.

" It's me, Jake. " He said with a cold voice.

"What were you thinking? You almost got yourself in danger!" He said angrily.

I just stayed silent and cry silently.

" I'm sorry. " sobs.

As I said that he held my hands and hug me.

"Shhh, it's ok. At least you are fine." He said with a calm voice.

I hugged him back and cried at his chest. I never felt so before like this. I feel safe when I'm with Luis. But when I'm with Jake it's different. I don't know but it's different.

He carried me on his back as we tried to go back to our campsite. Thanks to the night vision of my cam. It made us easier to see the way.

It was almost 30 minutes of walking, but at last, we managed to go back to our camp. Luis hurriedly ran to me and hugged me so tight that so does my girls.

Jake just immediately got in his tent and have a rest. I know that he's tried o carrying me for almost 30 minutes.

"Are you ok? Is there something happening out there?" Luis asked. He was so concerned.

"None, I'm ok. Thanks to Jake he found me." I said. Making him sure that I'm ok so that he won't worry anymore.

As we finished talking. I got into my tent. Then recall what happened a while ago.

I'm thankful that he was there. I don't even know what to do if I was all alone there. I think I'll just crumble like a ball beside a tree and wait for a wolf to eat me or a snake to bite me.

Thank god, Jake found me. As I was about to go to sleep. I remembered my cam recorder. I played the video, It was so dark. I could only hear the sounds of the animals. Also how the wind blows, made the branches of the trees dance.

Then there's an image that caught my attention. I paused the video and zoomed in. There's an image of a person. I can tell that she's a girl because she's wearing, what we call a gown I think. Also, she has long ang wavy hair. I can't see its face cause it was sa dark. But the only thing that made me clear is that she was looking in our direction at that time.

I remembered again what the old lady said.

I hope that it is just all a coincidence. I closed my eyes and pray. How I hope that tomorrow will be a better and more awesome day.

We are planning to swim at the falls tomorrow morning so that we could take a bath also to enjoy ourselves. My friends love cliff diving. I'm scared to do that.

I hope that everything will be fine by tomorrow morning. As I close my eyes. I began to fall into a deep sleep.
