Chapter 2; The Beginning

2 hours before the Ceremony. [ 05.00 ]

'....I think i prepared a little too early for the ceremony.'

Sigh

I gazed the morning stars outside along with my red dress.

I started thinking about the ceremony and trying to predict how the it's gonna be like.

'Now that i think of it, i think it's gonna be fun. Well, i've been reading a lot of Kingdom novels so.. I'm gonna be okay.'

'I just need to sign the attendance and observe my surroundings, just in case.'

And 10 minutes later i got anxious because my mind kept making me overthinking things.

"Miss Volerya, it's time to get re- oh! i see that you're already prepared! That's great."

"You should go to the garden and have breakfast. If someone asks something about you, dont be afraid to answer. They're gonna show you directions to the castle."

"Okay, thank you."

I then walked out to the garden. I sat on the table by the fountain waiting for breakfast and that "someone".

While waiting, i started thinking about this whole situation.

'Queen of Light.. Wait, isn't she one of the characters in King of Rings?'

'And also Apocalypse of Luctum, is one of the disasters that started King of Rings.. Did i transmigrate into this game?'

'So, i'm gonna fight with them all?!!'

'Technically, not just me, the MC, Iris is gonna be at the ceremony.'

'Right.. Lucine Stellar is one of the countess in Dawn Empire. And also one of the manipulators in King of Rings.

There lies a theory that Lucine can read the future. She probably knew about the disaster even before the next queen.

She probably bring out one of the people she saved as bait or to sacrifice for her own will. And that 'people' is me.

Now that i found out about all this, now its official im just one of the backround characters. There aren't any explanations about Lucine sacrificing someone.

And besides, this is a game. Everything has been programmed perfectly, there's a small chance that there's even a slight change.

But if something actually change, then its probably the..-'

A man's voice interrupted my thoughts.

"Good morning, miss Volerya. Here is your breakfast, sorry for the long wait."

"..It's no problem, thank you."

Right after the servant left, an unfamiliar figure walked closer to my table.

"Good morning, you must be miss Volerya. Today, i'll guide you to the ceremony just like how the countess told me to."

"Ah, okay. Thank you for your assistence, i hope i can be of help to miss Lucine."

"So.. your gonna take her attendance near the castle's entrance. Your gonna find 2 people taking attendance and you just have to tell that you're here to replace miss Lucine and then sign your signature."

'Does he think lowly of me or something? Of course i knew all about this, i've been to multiple wedding events.'

And 9 minutes of him blabbering common knowledge that even a toddler knows has passed. 30 more minutes and the ceremony is about to start.

I finished my breakfast, my dress is good as new, and i'm ready for this mission (not a mission)!

I left Lucine's mansion and rode off using a carriage she rented for me. She's acting like an angel and all, but she's really a devil on the inside.

11 minutes has passed and i'm still at the castle's entrance.

As expected, the castle is as crowded as ever. I can see the characters from the game! Truly it is hard to believe i ended up here.

As promised, i signed Lucine's attendant and told them just like the instructor asked me to.

As i entered the castle, i was memerized by the beautiful interior and the details in this place! Well, of course.. this is a castle after all.

'Oh! That's Eden and Wang yi! They're apart of the Lotus Lake!'

In King Of Rings, the playable characters part in 4 teams, Eden, Wang yi, and Iris is part of [LOTUS LAKE]. There's also one other member, but i have forgotten their name.

'Now i'll just have to observe my surroundings and wait for..'

A 170 cm tall woman bumped into me, causing my drink to almost spill onto her suit.

"Ah! I'm so sorry! I'm in a rush!"

A familiar voice apologized to me. She didn't give me much time to respond. A few seconds later i realized it was Iris! King of Rings' MC! The next savior of this country! IT'S IRIS!!!

I was flabbergasted, suprised, and unable to talk properly. 'I mean, it's Iris! She's a beauty AND she's brave!'

'Though, her personality gives me second-hand embarassment but MCs are always like that, i think.'

A few minutes has passed and the ceremony has started of with an opening.

"The title 'Queen of Light' has been took over by Aelia Jeanne to 'Queen of Luminescence'. May she be well and bring this country to rise!"

Everyone cheered, celebrated and welcome Aelia with blessings and prayers.

"Now it's time for the queen herself to give her speech to us all."

As Aelia walks in front of the throne and ready to say her speech.

"Ah, i got distracted." I mumbled.

A blastering sound outside was heard by everyone's ears.

"Everyone retreat! Umbra's armies are coming!" One of the guards alerted all of the attendants.

"I didn't think it will start this early.." I spoke to myself.

All of them are running, panicking, hiding and running onto each other.
