As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. The Exception To All The Rules

"Good," nodded Julia as she and Scarlet rose to their feet. Their alpha, completely unaware of what was going on around her, was wedged between the two women, her head hanging down. "Where is her house?" she continued, turning to look at her older brother.

"It doesn't matter," replied Dominik as he, too, rose to his feet. He wanted to force the two women to give up his mate, but he didn't want to be responsible for hurting her further in the scuffle. "She can come back to the pack house. She is our mate. It is our responsibility to look after her."

"And what a great job you did, too," smirked another woman as she shifted into human form. Her face was covered with bruises, and the beta could see dried blood on her skin from wounds that healed not too long ago.

A small bird came to land on her shoulder, and Dominik could have sworn that it was glaring at him.

But that was impossible… right?
