"Just ask her..." Rahul paused intentionally, making Varun more curious, "Ask her,

'Hey Bunny, I was wondering if you had an extra heart because mine just got stolen by you,'" he mimicked him.

"..." Varun had a blank expression on his face, clearly saying that he wasn't buying it.

Rahul facepalmed himself. How could he expect his heartfelt words to enter his brother's no-nonsense system?! Forget about love his usually cool and calm bro doesn't even have an idea how an attraction feels like! Thanks to those damn divine powers.

Fine! Today he would give his best friend a good lecture over love and would make sure he understands it. 'Mom, don't forget to shower me with lots of love and delicious food because your son is working quite hard to get you a daughter-in-law here,' he sighed.

Fixing his imaginary glasses, he started again, "Oh, my dear naive brother, YOU ARE IN LOVE!" he almost screamed from the joy, but he had to keep his voice low in front of Varun for now, afraid of pissing him off.

"What rubbish?!" Varun frowned.

His words made Rahul's joyous balloon deflated again. He cursed himself for putting hope when he obviously knew the consequences. 'Let's change the plan. I shouldn't be this straightforward with my words.'

The reason why he is coaxing his iceberg brother so much was that Rahul had already investigated everything about Somya, and he quite preferred her for his brother. She was the exact opposite of his stone-faced friend, which makes her best suited for the role of his wife.

He was betting on his luck till yesterday, but today when Varun accepted it himself, he won't want to miss the chance. Honestly, he still had doubts about that girl whom he only knew by his investigators and Varun. He could only hope for her to be exactly like his anticipation and he trusts Varun's eyes. Varun wasn't someone who can be fooled with an innocent face. Thanks to his inhumane powers, which he doesn't have but still has, he could easily recognize a fake person. So he has more or less nothing to worry about.

"Everyone is finding their soul mates with eyes wide open, and here you are, not even accepting the love at your doorstep," Rahul faked a sigh. "Except you, almost anyone near you could tell the difference between the present and the past you. You smile more often, you leave work early without any overtime..."

"Let me tell you," Varun stopped him midway through his speech. "If I don't give in to her, then she will pester me endlessly. So I only do this because she MAKES me do it," he stated with an annoyed face.

"No, you do it because you allow her to make you do it," Rahul asserted firmly.

"You are the mighty dragon of the GVAN group. Nobody would believe you if you tell them that a simple girl can order you around without your will," he smirked.

His words made Varun doubt himself. His eyes subconsciously moved to his balcony. But he gets disappointed when he saw the purple-dark curtains, covering the windows and the thought that he was in Rahul's room came back to him.

His simple actions didn't escape the eyes of Rahul, and he poked him right at the spots, "Had you never noticed yourself staring too much at the balcony window? You even added a study table there for your convenience. Do you think it's a gentleman's way to spy on a girl the entire time without her knowledge?! Even if you are the most powerful person of Jaipur, your act would still be counted as stalking," he mocked him.

"Remember the days when she was busy with her marriage preparations, and she completely ignored you? You were like an unleashed bull in the day, hitting anyone with your horns and a Devdas in the night whose Paro left him*," Rahul smirked as he finally caught the sore spot to hit his friend. He knew his brother would take his words seriously this time.

"If you feel the time spent with her is the best in the entire day. If you get annoyed by her words but still don't want to be the first to hang up on a call. If you are unable to imagine her in the arms of someone else. If you feel the pull when your eyes meet hers. If you can't get the image of her laughing or pouting out of your head for a whole day. If you find her simple call in the morning is enough to make your day. If you shamelessly think your staring at her is your birthright...," after saying all this in a breath, Rahul takes a deep breath and continues with a smile,

"then you are in LOVE, my friend."

I don't have an answer for that,

But I guess it's just the vibes you give me,

The laughs I get from talking to you,

And just the fact that you can make me think of you

even if we aren't talking at that moment

I honestly cannot say there's an answer to that,
