4 Job Get!

An hour had passed since Shirou and Sakura left the Emiya Residence. For some, that amount is a short time but for Kiana? That hour might have felt like five. Why? After everything that has happened in both her lives, peace and quiet seems so... slow.

Of course that doesn't mean she didn't like it. In fact, she missed it. But after everything that had happened, sitting all day and watching Japanese drama didn't fit with her. So in the first five minutes after being left, something like a fight in her head was starting between Kyle and Kiana.

On Kyle's side, he was gushing over how she should go and explore magecraft and its cool spells. Try opening her circuits, learning reinforcement or alteration, or even try to talk with HoV over a cup of tea. He felt sad about Sirin and wanted to connect with her. It's better to befriend her than fighting for who will get control over the body.

On Kiana's side, she was warning her to be careful and keep it slow. Even if she had to agree, the spells were useful and awesome. With the knowledge of Nasuverse from Kyle, she was literally crying out that the fact the magus' motto was 'To be a magus is to walk with death' should be reason to not learn magecraft without anyone's help. Also she immediately rejected the idea of talking to HoV after everything she had done to her and her loved ones.

Kiana was still weirded out with the fact she had two different thoughts with their own perspectives of the world around them, but she knew everything would be better with time... She hope. Either way, it didn't matter much because both decided to go with Void's powers for now. Since, she had some experience with it, there won't be much chance that there will be an accident.

So, the Herrscher quickly went to the dojo and test around with her powers. With Kyle's knowledge on the matter, she could clearly see different ways to utilize and had a broader understanding on her power. Her power wasn't just to create portals and manipulating cubes of honkai energy...

Her power or Herrscher Core to be exact, gives her control over space... as long as she had the energy of course. But that wouldn't be much of a problem, since her core will regenerate all the lost energy used and more.

She wondered what else she could do before remembering Will of the Herrscher. Kiana's memory of it were blank at most but with Kyle's memory, she realized what she did. HoV connected her portals to a pocket dimension, before releasing them back to the Anti Entropy.

She felt a bit sour at the part where she had choked Mei, but quickly went back to testing. Opening a portal to her pocket dimension, she put her head inside and saw nothing but purple void. 'Eh... Where is my bat... Right, I threw it at the mech...'

Bringing her head out, she then did a few tests like putting beer cans inside and bringing them back out. It used a bit more energy than to connecting portal to portal, but it's usable and will be very helpful when the time comes.

Then there was also the ability to travel through the Imaginary Space or whatever it was. Even with Kyle's knowledge of the game she doesn't know what that means but probably something similar to traveling different worlds by going through a certain area.

She shelved the thought for later, since she had already chose to stay in this world for now. Why would she leave now of all times? Not only that she didn't know how nor the consequences of doing so without doing research. It's too risky.

(AN = Is her ability only Space Manipulation, Imaginary Space Travel, Pocket Dimension Creation/Travel? Or is there something else? Like is the void lances part of the package of being the HoV? And is the cubes only for her to control because I've never seen anyone but her use it. If I'm wrong in the explanation, I'm sorry, i tried my best.)

Then there were her main usage attacks... Gun Kata, Void Lances, and Cubes... Without the guns however, Gun kata was just martial arts. At least she has a close combat option, if void lances and cubes weren't going to work.

Of course, knowing how dangerous and destructive the two could be. She shelved those abilities aside for now, because she didn't want to ruin anything in the house by accident. Maybe once she got herself some money, she could buy a place and try them out.

After finishing her tests, she decided to train her portal abilities. She thought of the important parts when using her portals and came up with reaction speed, the speed when creating a portal, predicting attacks, redirecting them to an enemy, her aim with the portals, and able to focus on multiple targets.

She had a few ideas on how to train them all at once and went with the one she thought would be fun. The idea was to use the portals to juggle beer cans all in different speeds. The rules were that she must keep all of them in the air, only one beer can per portal, portals must not be large, portals may not be created in the same place as before, and try to last as long as she could.

Her first attempt was forty eight minutes ago. Right now, she could be seen in the end of the dojo, concentrating as she created portals before the beer cans could hit the walls. Beer cans could be seen rushing through the air aiming for the walls, roof, and floors but all were eaten by a portal before it could hit them and came out of the portals that were connected to them individually.

It was very hard and taxing for her mind but she was having fun doing it. Her last attempt doing so, was five beer cans and in the air for six minutes straight. It might seem bad but compared to her first attempt of three cans for thirty seconds, the improvement was visible.

Now however, she felt a bit too confident and added two more beer cans adding the total amount to seven, while also aiming for seven minutes... and she regretted it. Her head felt numb from concentrating seven different object moving everywhere in fast but different speeds, her eyes was tired from moving too much, her body was shouting at her to lay down or change position but she couldn't in fear of losing focus.

But, she could feel it! It was just a few seconds to seven minutes. 'Just a bit longer...! Don't fail this now...!' She thought as she continued to focus on the cans. 'And...!'

*RING!* A loud ring sounded from a clock, she got from Taiga's room. Signaling the end of the seven minute time.

Even when her body was tired, she couldn't help but shout in joy, "HELL YEAH!!! SEVEN CANS SEVEN MINUTES!!! I DID I-ACK!" Her cheer was quickly interrupted by a can of beer hitting her in the face.

"Ahhh... Ugh... That hurts... But at least I got a seven by seven.. I'm going to lie down now..." With that she fell to the floor, laughing at her accomplishment. Resting for a few minutes, she got back up to feel a bit tired but nothing she couldn't handle.

Grabbing a cold beer can from her pocket dimension, she opened it and drank the whole thing in one go. *Gulp, gulp, gulp* Aaaaahhh! Now that, hits the spot. Is this what Himeko felt when she drank beer after doing an all nighter... Ugh... Goddamit, Kiana..."

Taking her mind away from the thought, she sighed and thought to herself, 'Now what? I trained for an hour straight, could juggle seven cans for seven minutes straight, got better with portals... There's nothing interesting in the TV this morning... No one's going home until around three.'

She sighed and an idea appeared in her head, 'I should go out! Not only will I get to know more about the area, I could also look for important places! Like the mansion of both Rin and Sakura! Or maybe even the scary spot filled miasma after the great fire.'

Now knowing what to do with the rest of her time, she gets up and went for the door. *Clank* Her quickly looked down and saw a can of beer rolling away from her feet... 'Oh right... I forgot to clean the cans.'

Turning her head back, she saw cans of beer sitting around in random places in the dojo. She was going to manually pick them up one by one but remembered she had power over space. With a snap of a finger (Only to look cool), portals appeared below them and went into the pocket dimension before being released inside the fridge.

"Portals are a great ability to have." She said with a smile.

After walking about forty minutes, she found herself in what looks like a shopping district with the amount of shops in one lane. 'Yep... This is definitely a shopping district. Mei used to go here to buy snacks with me...'

Walking around for a while, she found many shops from people selling various foods to services like beauty salons, massages, and all the other stuff. What mostly gets her attention was the food and the clothes. She could even feel a bit of envy to the kids who just asked their mothers to buy them.

Now that she thought about it... Most of her spending money came from being a Valkryie... and the rest were from Mei or Theresa... 'Oh crap... I can't go on missions... No missions means no money! Crap! That's the thing I could do is cooking decent food to survive Siegfried's cooking and fighting! What am I going to do?!'

"Eh?! You're that girl that tried to mug me for money!"

'EEK?! There's a person who recognize me for begging! How embarrassing... Wait. Mug?' She turned back confused and saw a random man she had never seen before and a familiar woman in her 40s with neck-length brown hair and sharp yellow eyes wearing a pink t-shirt with a tiger mascot and long white skirt.

"Eh? Have I seen you... YOU! YOU'RE THE HAG THAT ATTACKED ME FOR NO REASON!"

That accusation made her pissed, as she glared at Kiana, "HAG?! I didn't attack for no reason! You came behind me and asked for my money! You were mugging me! Of course I would attack!"

"Wha-Woman! I did no such thing! I went up to you and asked for some money to buy bread! You then tried to kick me in the stomach and kept attacking even when I told you to stop! Then when nothing was working, I left!"

"Hah?! What do you mean you left?! You ran away after trying to mug the wrong woman!"

"Oh please! I can beat you without even trying."

"Hah?!"

"Ladies! Please, be civil. We're in a public area. Let's not make a scene okay?" The man beside her asked calmly. The rude hag glared at him, "And what is stopping me from kicking her ass! The girl tried to mug me, Sai! Let me-"

"Our bet remember? I won the spar. So we will go to the maid cafe. If you start a fight now, you will be in a bad mood for the whole trip. They have a special limited time, 'Love Love Pack' for sale. And you need to be there with me to get a couple's extra drink."

The woman wanted to argue but the man continued, "Then didn't you came back home in a bad mood after getting your wallet stolen in the park before meeting the mugger? I have known you for two decades, Maya. Calm down..."

Maya took a deep breath and sighed, "Fine... But I'm only doing this for you, okay..."

Smiling at his wife, he turned his attention to Kiana and smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry about that. My wife can be a bit hot headed sometimes. If it's no problem with you, we could treat you to something in the maid cafe."

"Mmm... I..." She was going to reject because of the annoying woman but seeing her so docile after being told by her husband... 'This woman... Ugh... I guess I still have time to go with them... Not only that, he is giving me free food in a maid cafe...'

"Alright... I accept..."

"Can we order a Love Love Pack with the extra custom drinks for couples? Also a Kiss Kiss Muffin and sweet ice tea for the young girl beside me." Sai said with a straight face. The maid handling the order smiled, "Oh! So for you, your wife and daughter?"

"Nein!/Yada!" Kiana and Maya shouted suddenly and immediately apologize after seeing the stares given to them by the other customers. Sai sighed and gave the maid a wry smile, "Sorry about that. They didn't have a good relationship with each other."

"Ah... Right. Sorry if I offended you. Anyways, thank you for ordering, master~!"

Waiting for the maid to walk away further, Sai finally starts the conversation, "Alright, now that we're going to be waiting. How about we go with your story first, Kiana? Since, I already knew some from Maya."

"Fine, this was what happened..."

"God... I can't believe that I got tricked by that dude." She said with a heavy sigh. Looking down on the whimpering man, who was clutching his balls, she whispered, "If you try to do this to anyone else, I'll come find you and kill you."

She activated HoV and opened a portal behind her back to give that extra flair for her bluff. The man screamed and run away, crying out forgiveness. She sighed and walked away in a bad mood, 'Tch... He didn't even have money... I should go and find people that looks dependable and kind.'

She looked around for her next 'good person' and found Maya walking away from the park. 'Oh! Good person spotted!' Looking at her pink shirt and long grey skirt, she thought she must be the girly kind. 'Yes! These girls are those kind ones you see in an anime!'

Approaching her slowly to not alarm her or scare her away, she walked a good amount of length and started with a non-threatening smile, "Hey, miss! Do you have some money I could borr-Wow!" Immediately, before she could finish, she jumped back and dodged the incoming leg.

"Hey! I just asked for some money! You didn't need to-" "Shut up, mugger! You messed with the wrong woman!" With that Maya rushed to Kiana and aimed for her legs.

"Tch!" Clicking her tongue in annoyance, she dodged again and rolled away, "Just calm down! I only wanted to buy foo-" She was interrupted again, and it was starting to get annoying. "Look! Woman! Let me explain-" Blocked. Parry. Back off. "I just needed some money-" Dodge. Jump back. "Can we just stop and be civi-" Grapple. Back off. "-Goddamit! That's it! I'm going to look somewhere else!"

Quickly kicking her opponent's legs, causing Maya to fall. She immediately left because she didn't want to make a big deal out of that rude woman. "God! Why was she so rude?! She was worse than the guy before! At least she showed that she was able to fight..."

Hearing her stomach grumbled, she sighed, "What am I going to do now... Clearly, asking for money isn't working..." Looking around, she saw shops with food but knew there were too many people around to get away with anything.

"Why is finding food so hard... Oh?" Looking at a building far away, she could see a dark and presumably empty school. 'A school... and it looks like one of those big ones with a cafeteria. Jackpot!'

"Hmm... I see. So you were trying to ask money for food? Then Maya suddenly attacked you?"

"Yeah! But I don't need to worry about finding anymore food because I found my cousin who lives here." She answered after finishing her story.

"I see... Well congratulations for finding your cousin." He said before looking at his wife who now felt bad about her. "Alright! Fine... I was in the wrong at that time. I'm sorry. But from my perspective, it was one thief after another."

"Phew! Now that I'm finish with everything. I should go and get Sai and the kids something to eat. I'm sure they won't mind eating my cooking for tonight." She says with a smile as she walked down the sidewalk near the park.

'Hmm... Should I buy from Sakana or Midori? Maybe...' "Oof!" Her thoughts were quickly interrupted by a man who walked into her, "Hey! Watch where you're going!"

"Yeah yeah, sorry for bothering." With that the man left in a hurry. She watched the running man in confusion, 'Weird... Anyways, what should I buy? Maybe a Midori is a good choice. Let's see how much money I have...'

Reaching down to her pocket, she felt it empty and panicked, "Eh?! Where's my wallet?! It was here a moment ago!" Then she remembered the stranger. Her eyes shot open in anger, as she tried to find the man but couldn't.

"SON OF A BITCH! ARE YOU SERIOUS?! YOU BASTARD!" She shouted in anger and kicked an innocent tree in her fit of rage... Only to regret it. "Ow! Fuck! My feet! Grrr.... Calm down Maya. Remember what Sai told you... deep breath in... and out..."

She sighed in irritation and sat on a nearby bench feeling frustrated at the loss of her wallet, "Ha... I guess no takeouts tonight... Well at least there wasn't anything important there... It was my only my shopping wallet after all..."

She stayed quiet for a moment and finally decided to go back home. Walking away from the bench, she heard soft footsteps slowly coming from behind. 'Hm? Another one?!'

"Hey! Do you have some money I could bor-" 'IT IS!' Before the girl could finish her sentence, Maya kicked and aimed for her stomach but felt no impact. '?!' She took back her leg and saw the stranger clearly.

She was a young girl wearing a some kind of cosplay with a jacket. She looked angry as she shouted, "Hey! I just asked for some money!". 'Ha! Not happening!' She though as she went into her fighting stance, "Shut up, mugger! You messed with the wrong woman!"

She quickly rushed to kick her legs but was dodged once more, 'Tch! Stop moving!'. She went for the attack once more but none were connected as the girl kept dodging. "Look! Woman! Let me explain!" 'Explain what?! That you were trying to steal more of my stuff! I don't think so!' Kick. Punch. Sweep.

'This girl is good for a thief... Just need to try harder then!' She thought and went for another side kick. "Can we just be civil-!" 'No!' She went for another kick but was quickly caught and pushed away. "Goddamit! That's it! I'm going to look somewhere else!" 'I knew it! She was mugging me!'

Without warning, the girl dashed forward and kicked my leg that was still hurting from the tree before running away. "Fuck! My leg! That was a cheap shot... thief?"

Looking around to find no one, she clicked her tongue, "'Tch! Coward! Haa... I need to go back home soon. I can't believe, I got targeted twice in a row."

"So... A random guy stole your wallet. That makes it okay to start a fight?" Kiana said as she stared at the guilty woman.

"I said, I'm sorry! I know I have problems alright. I've been trying to stop myself from going on haywire every time I get angry. We even had me attend some anger management classes every Saturday. If my wallet hadn't been stolen, I would have been happy to helped."

Kiana merely stared at the woman, as she thought, 'This woman... At least, she knows that she has problems and actually tries to fix it...' She sighed and decided to let the grudge go, "Alright. I'll let it go. You're already treating me to some food anyways. A kind of bread at that."

"Great! Now that you both have made up and forgive each other. I think your Kiss Kiss Muffin is arriving with your ice tea." Sai said, as he pointed at the maid approaching out table.

Turning her head towards where he pointed. she saw a bubbly maid, smiling brightly, holding her Kiss Kiss Muffin and iced tea. "Good morning, Sai-sama! Is this for the young mistress?"

"Ah! Sachi-san! Yes, Kiana ordered them."

Sachi turned her head towards Kiana and gasp, "Oh my goodness! You look so beautiful, Kiana-sama! Look at that white hair! Is that dyed? Ah! I went out of character! Sorry Kiana-sama. Here's your Kiss Kiss Muffin and iced tea."

Waiting for her to place her food down, she smiled, "It's alright, Sashi-san. Thank you for the compliment and for your question, no. My hair is natural."

"That's amazing! The only white haired person, I've ever seen was my grandma. Anyways, do you want me to perform the Kiss Kiss Muffin?"

"Kiss Kiss Muffin? Perform?" Confused, she looked at Sai with a look that asked him what is this. But the only response she got was a thumbs up and a silent 'do it'.

Shrugging to herself, she said, "Sure."

The maid brought the muffin up close to her lips and did a "Chu~". Before placing the part where she kissed, on Kiana's lips, "With my love, this muffin will even more taste delicious~ Happy eating, Kiana-sama~!"

Kiana merely stared both the muffin and Sachi who was walking away in silent shock. She looked at Sai, who was nodding as if he was a part of the council of men. While, Maya just shrugged and looked as if she had already accepted her husband's taste.

Going back to the muffin, she took a bite and thought, 'Delicious... Is this some kind of magic, I could learn?'

"Thanks for treating me, Sai-san. Maya-san.

Sai smiled, as he payed the bill to the maid beside him, "No, it's alright. It was an apology from me. Besides, this was your first time experiencing a maid cafe right? I can see it in your eyes."

She chuckled, "Hehe, yeah. It was weird but nice. The maid seemed to like doing the rituals though. Or are they faking them?"

"Eh~ Fifty fifty most of the time. Sachi was one of the ones, that liked being a maid. So, you got lucky. While me and Maya got Kuroi. She's a bit rough on the edges when acting cute and bubbly, but is very good when it comes to being the dominant kind of maid... And before you ask. Yes, some people like that."

"Ah... I see..." She muttered before thinking, 'How does the guy know all the maid's names?! Does he come here often?!'

"Oh right! I just remembered something. Are you still looking for money?"

"Eh? Uh... Yeah, I guess. I got a place to stay and food to eat, but I got nothing for anything else."

"Great! If you want to, you can get a job from us. Here" Sai quickly went to his wife's bag and took a card that said 'Mitsuzuri Dojo for Martial Arts and Self Defense'.

'Mitzusuri? Where have I heard that before...?' She thought and began trying to remember her knowledge of the Fate series but nothing came up. She felt frustrated because she knew someone had the name Mitzusuri but decided it was better to shelf the thought for later.

"Sure, what job am I going to do?"

Sai shrugged and gave a brief explanation, "Most of the time, you could help us with the students. Like telling them how to correctly punch and kick, sparring with them, give them advise. Or you could do the background work. Like bringing the stuff needed, cleaning the place, refill the water gallon."

"Hmm... Sure, I could do that. But how do you know I could even help with the students?"

Sai pointed at Maya who just came out of the bathroom, "She's a very good fighter that comes from a family that had history in martial arts. She said not only you dodged most of her fast kicks, you also blocked some as well. That means you either have trained or just pure luck... that happened over and over again. Also, in both of your stories, you kicked her leg faster than she could react. That's a red flag."

"Huh... You're observant."

"It's what you have to learn with a wife that could potentially be a landmine sometimes."

She laughed and accepted his offer, "Alright, I'll do it. How much is the pay, when, and where?"

"The best I can give is 3000 yen per hour. We usually open at 9 in the morning after our kids leave for school. Close at 3 to check on the kids. In the weekdays, we open a bit later at 10 in the morning and close at 4 in the night. The dojo's address should be in the card."

"Huh, so it is. Alright, I'll meet you sometime at 9 tomorrow. Say bye to Maya for me." She said as she separated from the man. She looked at the sky and felt that there was still more time before Shirou's school end, so she decidd to keep exploring.

'Job Get! I really thought, finding a job would take me days! Lady Fate definitely blessed me... Wait... Didn't Shizuku said that I'm not in her hold anymore? Coincidence? I think not!" Laughing to the meme, she kept walking before a certain figure got her attention.

The figure is a nun. She had long white hair and dull yellow eyes, wearing the usual nun attire you would see in some kind European church. 'Huh, that's certainly new... Isn't the only priest Kotomine? Maybe there was a nun before the canon... But why does she look familiar?'

Her thought came to a stop when she saw the girl tripping on a cracked pavement and fell face first on the ground, "Ah, crap! Hey, miss nun! Are you okay?" She walked and helped the nun up with concern.

The nun merely stared in silence as Kiana felt something wet on her palm. Looking down, she saw her hand grasping the nun's sleeve and saw some kind of red stain on it's edges. 'Red...?' She thought before looking at the nun in shocked silence.

The two stared at each other before one spoke, "Are you the white haired scary bitch with creepy powers, the man with his group of friends thought was me and tried to beat me for kicking his family jewels?"

"Eh?"
