Convincing Tohsaka

AN = Sorry for the long wait. I decided to take some time off for a few days to catch up with some old mangas that had updated a lot and anime... Also I blame YT shorts for wasting a lot of my time.

-Emiya Residence-

Sitting at the dining table, Kiana let out a satisfied sigh as she focused on the hot tea flowing down her throat. She could finally feel a bit relaxed as she felt the warmth spreading in her stomach. Her tensed shoulders drooped down and her stressed mind could finally calm down.

Especially after everything that had happened that led to this moment. When she thought her life might be peaceful in this world, it proved her wrong by making her find out that her energy had came inside her circuits.

Not only that, she felt like life just slapped her on the face. Because that problem creates another that caused her to be unable to use magecraft without it being unbalanced by the differences between her energies, resulting failure. This particular problem really annoyed the Kyle inside of her.

She might be a Herrscher with power that is usually used to bring an end to humanity... but it's magic! It is literally one of the best things, you can do in this world! Not only that, there are a lot of things she could do with magecraft that her powers can't do.

Boundary Fields, Runes, Reinforcement! And that's just three out of so many more! Sure, she could reinforced her body already with her Honkai Energy, but she couldn't do that with weapons or anything else! Imagine how useful a reinforced battle suit could be!

Sure, these problems aren't quite as bad as what she had to deal with before... but even then, she can't help but feel annoyed that problems are still going to appear in her life... She was beginning to believe that her Origin might have something to do with this, but that is highly unlikely because she is definitely not doing this to herself... Maybe....

Kiana shook her head and sighed, as she threw away that worrying thought and focused on the girl sitting beside Taiga. Rin Tohsaka, the Tsundere of FSN, Future student of Zelretch, considered to be a prodigy among normal magi, and someone who could be their potential teacher in magecraft.

She has the same dark brown twin tails and aqua blue eyes, wearing a red turtleneck, black skirt that stopped on her mid-thighs and tight-fitting black stockings that does a good job expressing her legs... It made her blush.

There was no difference between the Rin sitting in front of her and her anime counterpart... Or at least, that's what she thought until she listened to the conversation she was having with Taiga.

Currently, the female prodigy was commenting about the story of Taiga's shogi match with her grandfather and giving her advise. Judging by how Taiga nodding along, she seemed to be giving good ones. This... was quite surprising for her.

The tsundere magus knows about shogi? Kiana knew many things about her but she had never heard about her playing shogi before. Sure, that might be because she watched the anime and movie... but she couldn't have imagined Rin caring about such a thing when she had always been prioritizing magecraft over anything else... That's something she was sure about.

Shaking her head, Kiana shelved the thought for later times and decided to focus on other things. There wasn't much she could do at the moment except planning for what is going to do next... Though she was immediately distracted by Shirou's hand that entered her peripheral vision.

'Ahh... Right... I wonder how's Shirou doing. He literally dropped his jaw when he saw Rin coming inside the living room and had been staring at her for the first few minutes.' She thought before chuckling at the memory and looking towards Shirou.

Sitting beside her, Shirou watched the friendly conversation between Taiga and Rin with a bit of relief as a happy smile lay on his face. The worry and anxiousness that was present on his face had disappeared completely.

'Well... That's a big difference... I thought he would still be worried about her like I was a few seconds ago...' She thought with a frown and watched as his smile widened when the duo ate his food with a smile on their faces.

'...That sounded a bit too creepy in my head. But I think I understand...' She thought with a wry smile before she continued, 'He did say cooking for others was his hobby. So maybe, seeing others happily eating his cooking makes him feel better... Huh... Is that what Mei felt when she fed me her bento?' She thought before the images of Mei smiling happily started to appear.

'No... Kiana. Calm down... Mei's doing way better with your wish... Think about how happy her life is now...' She thought as she tried to fight the heavy feeling that is growing in her heart with happy thoughts...

It was not working that well... And since she didn't want to ruin the moment for the others, she tried to distract herself with other things. 'Food. Food. Cooking. Cooking. Shirou's cooking... Should I try to cook as well? It helps Shirou calm down when seeing other people eat his food... So maybe-'

That thought was quickly stopped as she recalled her past experience with cooking. The burned kitchen. The burned soup. The exploding oven. So many memories related to cooking by herself from Kiana's side was making her feel unhappy but at least she was distracted now.

'...Okay, I can't even remember what I did wrong to cause such a big reaction... Maybe it's better if I leave the cooking job to Shirou until I can learn what I did wrong... I can't believe how I used to live with cup noodles and take out before-' "-Kiana?"

"Huh? What?" Kiana shot up from her thoughts as she looked at the woman in confusion. Since she hadn't been listening to the conversation, imagine her confusion when she saw Taiga looking at her with puppy dog eyes and Rin rolling her eyes before staring at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Uhh... What?" She felt lost and confused before looking to Shirou for help. Shirou sighed and quickly explained what was happening, "Taiga was asking if you agree that she could beat Rin in a shogi match.... She didn't like my answer, so she's asking you now."

"What answer?! You chose not to answer!" Taiga said with a pout.

'...Eh? Is that it? That's... childish...' She thought with a wry smile before going looking back to the duo. Kiana felt this was just like dating sim games where you would need to choose between two girls to increase their affection points...

Realizing that, she couldn't help but questioned, 'Is this what harem protagonist had to deal with? Isn't this suppose to be something for male protagonists only? I've never seen a female protagonist getting something like this... Did Shirou's harem aura spread to me?'

'Heh... Harem Protagonist EX...' Kiana chuckled before going back to the question. She would have probably chosen Rin for her affection points but after everything Taiga had done for her, she decided to side with her, "Uh... Yeah, sure. I think Taiga could win against you."

Shirou could be heard sighing as they saw Taiga's smug increased by a few points. She turned towards Rin and puffed her chest with pride, "Umu! Umu! Did you hear that, Tohsaka-san~? Kiana-chan knows an expert when she sees one~"

Rin's polite smile could be seen straining to keep her persona up as she pushed away Taiga's chest away from her. "Oh please, Fujimura-san. You were clearly cheating with those puppy eyes of yours. I reckoned that Kaslana-san would have side with me if she wasn't tempted by you."

"Oh~? Are you sure about that~? Hmm~? Hm~ Hm~?" Taiga teased as she had a cat-like smile on her face.

"You..." Rin's eyebrow twitched as she was struggling to keep the polite smile on her face.

Kiana that had been watching, took another bite of her salmon and smiled. It was quite fun to watch and eat things like this because it reminds her of some anime she watched... before she realized that this was real life and that it is happening right in front of her eyes.

'...I should probably do something.' She thought before turning to Shirou and whispered, "Psst! Shirou! Do something! I think Rin is getting very annoyed right now."

Shirou only replied with a wry smile before patiently stopping Taiga with soft words, "Taiga... Can't you see that you're annoying Tohsaka-san? She's not used to your teasing like Sakura-san. So, let's not make the guest feel irritated okay?"

Taiga stopped as she took a look at Rin before pouting, "Fine~ I was going to stop after a few more anyways..."

'She would probably not hold back after another...' Kiana thought before feeling a bit surprise by how quiet it suddenly became. It reminded her when her siblings shutting up immediately after receiving her mother's wrath.

Laughing mentally, Kiana shook her head at the memory before looking towards Rin to see how she's doing. Kiana looked surprise when she saw that Rin had quickly went back to normal with her polite smile before drinking some tea.

'Wow... That is fast... She must have mastered that technique. I can't even see the... Oh...' Her thoughts came to a stop when she saw that Rin is currently looking at her with irritation laced in her eyes...

'Huh... So she's hiding her mouth with the cup?' She thought before giving Rin an apologetic smile and going back to her food.

Tuna Tuna Tuna~!

"Eh? Are you sure, Tohsaka-san? It's already getting a bit late... Have you said anything to your caretaker about going back a bit late?" Taiga asked with a raised eyebrow. She had no problems if it was Sakura who wanted to stay for a bit longer than usual but this was Rin. Not Sakura.

Rin gave her a solemn nod before she placed her cup back down and reassured her, "Yes, I am sure Fujimura-san. My caretaker wouldn't mind if I came home in the middle of the night, and I won't be staying here for more than an hour anyways."

"Hmm..." Taiga was a bit unsure but seeing that Rin was okay with it, she shrugged and let it go. If she wants to stay for awhile, why not? It's not going to make any problems for anyone. "Alright then. If you think you've stayed for too long, just tell me okay? I can call my grandpa's men to bring you back to your house."

With a carefree smile on her face, she shut the door and left the trio alone. Kiana could hear Taiga's footsteps going further and quieter before the sound of running water could be heard... Even if it was very quiet, it was still surprising that she could hear that.

'Well... The toilet is not that far... but still...' She thought before remembering a scene from Heaven's Feel. Kiana blushed and thought, 'Oh... That's... Good thing, Taiga wasn't home at that time. It would have been very awkward if she heard everything...'

Getting her head out of that section of her mind, Kiana sighed and looked surprise when she saw Rin. Her polite smile that had been sitting on her face had been replaced with a frown as she glared at the two of them.

Kiana felt a bit intimidated by it but not as much as she thought it would. It was similar to when Theresa glared at her when she was going to punish her for burning the kitchen again. She knew it was mostly for intimidating her but she still couldn't help but straightened her back in habit.

"..." Nobody had uttered a single word. She could feel that the room was tensed and she felt the need to be serious but she couldn't help but struggle to do so when she heard Taiga, who suddenly started singing in the bathroom.

"Pfft-! Ahem! S-Sorry... The singing caught me off guard." Kiana said while still trying to be serious. It's not her fault! She never would have thought she would hear someone singing in the bathroom! She had never experience such a thing in both of her lives. Even Shirou is... Oh...

Kiana saw a wry smile on Shirou's face as he stared at her and shaking his head. She quickly turned to Rin who was also looking at her with a solemn expression... 'Well... That's awkward... So I was the only one laughing...'

Kiana looked away in embarrassment and screamed mentally for a few moments before going back to normal. She put up a friendly smile and started the conversation, "So... What do you want to talk about? Should we start with... the whole glaring thing? Because I am pretty sure I haven't done anything bad towards you."

"Oh please, Kaslana-san. You've done more than one, if I am correct about my suspicions." She replied while rolling her eyes. "I assume both of you should know what I am, considering how you two reacted when you saw me in your place."

"Uh... A human?" Kiana asked jokingly.

"Wha-!? No! I mean yes! I am a human! What else would I be?!" Rin asked with a frown.

"Uh... A mag-" Shirou was going to answer but was immediately interrupted by Kiana, "That's a rhetorical question. Don't answer that."

"Hmm~?" Rin hummed with a smile causing the two to look at her. "So, the both of you already knew that I am a magus then.."

Kiana and Shirou nodded, causing her to frown and said, "So my suspicions were right. There are unknown magi living in my city... Didn't you know that Fuyuki City is a highly regarded area for the Association and that it is entrusted to the Tohsaka family to supervise the place?"

Shirou shrugged in confusion and asked, "What does that have to do with us being a magus?"

"That means the two of you are suppose to ask permission from me to become a permanent residence of the city!" She shouted, causing the two to look at her with shock. "Since both of you are magi, this rule applies in this situation as well!"

"Hah?! We do?!" Kiana asked in shock and confusion. She might have known many things about the Fate universe but not much about the whole Second Owner thing. She thought it was only to supervise the area and not become some kind... owner... She felt like an idiot for not noticing that.

"Of course you do! You've just arrived here a few days ago right?! Before coming here or at least when you got here, you were suppose to alert me so we can talk about this! You're like an illegal immigrant in simpler terms! Haven't your parents told you about this stuff?!"

'No! Because I don't have any parents in this world!' She thought before lying to Rin, "No! I wasn't told any of this by my parents. They haven't even told me how to do magecraft properly! I was told to leave Germany because someone wanted to kill them!"

Rin was taken aback by her answer before asking in disbelief, "Are you serious?! How could they have not taught you magecraft! I can believe the second half but not the first! That's just-"

"Look, they didn't want to teach me magecraft until I reached eighteen. Which I just did a few weeks ago. They only taught me the basics of magecraft but not anything else because they were busy trying to keep the family alive from magi killers."

It might have been too much and there might be holes in her story, but she didn't have time to make a very good one. She pulled this story out of her ass, so to speak.

"You-! Argh! Fine! How about you?" Rin asked, deciding to listen to Shirou's story before she get a migraine.

"I've always been here for all my life." Shirou answered with a frown. "I may not know much about my past, since I lost my memories to the Fuyuki Fire, but I'm pretty sure I didn't know magecraft until I was adopted by my father."

"He didn't told me everything he knew, but warned me to stay hidden from the other magi because they were all selfish, merciless, had no morals, and don't care about innocent lives as long as they succeeded in their experiments." He said with a straight face.

Rin looked offended when she realized that it also implied she was one of those heartless monsters, "Did you seriously think everyone would be like that?!"

"He's not completely wrong." Kiana said at the same time, causing Rin to glare at her.

Shirou shook his head and reassured her, "No. Because my father was different. If he was like that then he wouldn't have saved me from the fire. He even taught me magecraft even if it was the wrong way... and that Kiana had told me that you are a good person."

Rin was caught off guard by the sudden compliment and felt a bit bashful, "W-Well thank you for that... So, where is your father now?"

"Oh... Uhh... He's not with us anymore." Shirou answered with a sad smile.

"Of course he isn't... Sorry about that." Rin muttered with a frown. She was feeling really frustrated at the moment, not at those two but herself. She wanted to intimidate them and showed who had the authority but she couldn't help but relate and felt sorry for him.

Seeing the pity on her face, Shirou smiled and said, "It's alright, Tohsaka-san. I have already gotten of his death."

Rin merely nodded and sighed as she massaged her forehead, "God... This is frustrating me... Fine. The two of you can stay here... It wouldn't change anything either way. Haa... Anyways, now that I know about yourselves, tell me what you are going to be doing in the city..."

Rin suddenly stopped and stayed quiet as she looked towards the wall. Kiana looked confused and asked, "What's wrong? Why did you-" "Shhh! Don't you guys hear that? There's no more sound coming from Taiga anymore..."

"What does that have to do with... Oh..." Kiana quickly realized where she was going with this and turned to Shirou, "Hey, Shirou! Can you go and check on Taiga? I'm going to bring Rin to the shed where we can continue talking without worrying about Taiga accidently hearing us."

Flustered, Rin said, "R-Rin?! We're not that close...." Her fluster disappeared when she heard the second part of her words, "Y-You two already have a workshop!?"

"Eh~ I don't remember what 'workshop' means, but if it's a place where magi do their magecrafts. Sure, we can call it a workshop. But I prefer to call it 'Shirou's Magical Shed'. It sounds way better and straight to the point! Also, I was the one who created it." Kiana answered with a bright smile as she grab ahold of her hand and bring her to the shed.

Shirou sighed as he watched the two girls left the room. Smiling, he shook his head and left the other way to check on Taiga.

Tuna Tuna Tuna~!

"...Why did I even think there would be anything here? The two of you are still beginner magi." Rin muttered as she sighed once more after taking a look around the shed. It is your everyday shed with dust and random piles of boxes, scraps, and pipes lying around everywhere.

She looked up at the only light source of this dark place, that was above a pile of boxes, and saw the glowing moon up above the sky. "At least, there's someway to tell the time here."

"Hehe.. I might have over exaggerated the 'magical' part of its name, but this is way better than having no place at all, right?" Kiana said with a carefree smile as she placed down a blue mat on the floor for them to sit down on.

Kiana sat on the left half of the mat and pat on the right half that was still available, "You can sit here Tohsaka-san. The space might be a bit small to fit the two of us but it sure is better than sitting on the dusty floor."

Rin sighed as she took the invitation and sat on the mat. It was a bit small for the two, so they needed to scoot closer together to fit in nicely, "This is a bit too small for my comfort but it is better than sitting on the floor... Don't you ever clean this place if you want it to be your workshop?"

"A-Ah... W-Well... I- Uh... I may have accidently did one of the spells wrong and made the place messy again... I didn't really have any time to clean it because Shirou wanted me to take a shower and eat dinner..." Kiana answered, feeling a tad bit flustered as she flashed a shy smile.

Rin looked at the girl in suspicion as she asked, "Didn't you say, you only knew the most basics of the basics relating to magecraft? What kind of spell could make something this messy after a few hours?"

"Uhh..." Kiana didn't know how to answer that as she recalled what happened.

-Tuna-

"Void Impact!" She incantate as her circuits glow with life. A zone of controlled space spread from Kiana as items and boxes that is not connected with the ground flew up. Kiana realized this might be a bad idea as she slowly brought them back down... but the damage is done as the dust that had been on the boxes and shelves flew everywhere, making a mess.

-Tuna-

"...It was merely some family magecraft I wanted to replicate..." Kiana lied with a wry smile. She was not wrong... It was considered magecraft because it was from her circuits and family because she was the only one with it.

If Rin wasn't skeptical from her made up story with holes, she was definitely now. That's what Kiana thought when she saw the glare that was being given to her. She let out a sigh and said, "So... Are we going to come back to where we left off? I think Shirou wouldn't be here for awhile."

Rin frowned at her obvious attempt to change the subject but decided to do this one at a time, "Before, I asked about what you and Shirou are going to do now. Although it isn't part of the rules to tell what you are going to do, I want some clarifications to at least have some peace of mind and not constantly worried about the two of you."

"Hmm... Sure!" Kiana agreed with a smile. "We aren't going to do much anyways. Most of the time, we are going to practice our magecraft by ourselves, since we don't really have anyone to teach us. We are still going to do our normal lives as well. Shirou will still be going to school and I will still do my job as an instructor."

Rin frowned and said, "You... are trying to practice magecraft with no one but yourselves? That's very reckless of you! Magecraft isn't something you could just do, without expecting to die by some kind of freak accident."

'Is she worried about us...?' Kiana thought as she smiled and reassured her, "Of course, I know about that. But we have been very careful and so far, nothing really bad has happened."

By the look on her face, Rin was unconvinced that nothing bad has happened. So, Kiana said with a proud smile, "We even open our circuits by ourselves! By using the mana in the air, we successfully open them and-" "YOU WHAT?!"

Shocked by the sudden shout, Kiana looked towards Rin and asked, "Uhh... Did I do something wrong?"

"Wha-?! Of course, you idiot! You were suppose to ask someone in your family to do that! When a person does it for you, we open them like a locked door does with a key! But if you used the mana in the air, your opening them like a locked door does with a battle ram!" Rin explained with a very frustrated look on her face.

"Oh... That does sound bad..." Kiana muttered as Rin continued reprimanding her, "Of course it is! You could have permanently damage your circuits! Or even worse, died! This is why you should have never do magecraft without any knowledge of it! You may as well die if your unlucky!"

Kiana frowned sadly as Rin kept going. She didn't know if she was worried, frustrated, plain angry at her or all the above. After she finishes, Kiana felt it was the right time to ask, "If you're so frustrated that you would explain why I shouldn't have opened mu circuits that way... Then why not teach us the right way to do magecraft? You have knowledge and experience so..."

"That's because you were suppose to be told by your parents! This is opening circuits, Kaslana-san! I don't know what kind of fools your parents were or even if they exist, but they would have opened them before you were taught magecraft!" Rin said with an angry frown.

Kiana looked at her with surprise as she continued, "Yeah! Your story are full of holes, Kaslana! I'm not an idiot! Even if that was true, why would I ever want to teach two beginner magi when I have many other things that are way more important?! You are just a stranger and Shirou is merely a classmate."

"Then let's make a deal!" Kiana said quickly before Rin could continue. She felt this was her only chance to finally get them someone to teach them better in magecraft. If she doesn't make a good deal she might lose this... and she couldn't afford to, because Rin could help her find a solution to her circuit problem.

Rin frowned as she asked, "And why would I accept a deal from someone who doesn't want to tell me their own past? You are hiding a lot of things from me and I believe you had done the same with Emiya-kun. What can you even give?"

Kiana felt ashamed for hiding her own past to people who had helped her this past few days, but she wanted to get closer to them before telling them anything. Frowning, Kiana stared back at the solemn stare of Rin and answer, "Shirou could project things with almost perfect quality! He also could cook great food and if he exploited his magecraft right! And I could help you when the Grail War starts."

"Hah?! That's two from Shirou and one from you! Why would I want to make a deal with you if all you give is Shirou? I could just make the same deal with Shirou and teach him instead." Rin said with a disappointed frown before continued, "And why would I even want your help in the Grail war? I am part of the Tohsaka family and a prodigy as a magus. Why would I need help from a beginner magus?"

Kiana frowned as she felt hesitant to tell her about it... but knowing that she is a good person deep down, Kiana decided to show some of her cards and answered, "Because! Even if my magecraft is bad, I have something else that makes me even more powerful than you!"

Rin didn't answer as the two stared quietly at each other. Suddenly, Rin stood up from the mat and began to walk away, "I'm going to leave-" "WAIT WAIT! Please don't go! Let me show you what I'm talking about and it will definitely change your mind!"

Rin didn't stop and kept going. Kiana frowned as she pulled her away from the door and pinned her on the wall. Rin let out a surprised yelp as she looked at the taller girl that was staring at her with determined eyes as she said, "Just give me one chance."

"You..." Rin was annoyed at this point and wanted to accept it so they could be done with it... but she couldn't help but feel flustered as well, by how close their face were right now. She quickly pushed Kiana's face from hers and said, "Alright! Just don't get too close to me and start showing what you can do. It better be worth it..."

Kiana's frown turned upside down as she walked a bit far away from her and said, "You will definitely not regret it."

Kiana let out a sigh as she focused on her Honkai Energy and let it course through her body. A purplish glow started covering her limbs and clothes before they broke off and showed Kiana with a different appearance.

Before, she was wearing a white collared shirt and a black skirt. Now however, she was wearing some kind of white and black colored armored dress with pink accents and six separate flounces quickly forms from the hem of the skirt, flowing slowly to the ground. She wore a black elbow glove that has the same pink accents like her dress and a white and orange hand glove on her right. The collar was replaced with a black fur-trimmed neck that had the insignia of the Kasalna family, that was a wing, shield, and sword and a black and white star shaped pin rest on her head.

Rin's jaw dropped as she stared at the newly transformed girl in shock. Her eyes met with the newly star shaped pupils of the girl, as she introduced herself with a very proud and satisfied smile, "Herrscher of the Void, at your service... or at least, if you accept the deal~"

AN = Finish~ This took me so long but it eventually finished. It was hard for me because I wanted to capture the essence of Rin Tohsaka. I had been searching and rewriting the whole thing to fit better with Tohsaka's personality. If there are something with the chapter that doesn't really feel correct please comment on it.

P.S. I Finally did research on the whole ability list of HoV and I have been... seriously nerfing her too much did I...?

P.S.S. Finish editing the last part. I added some stuff to it and I think it worked out well.

A Very Short Omake : Honkai May Cry

(I don't play DMC but ever read a fanfic about it. I just thought it would be nice to make one because of how similar siegfried and dante are.)

"Ugh... How hard did that bomb hit me.... Eh? Where am I?" Kiana muttered as she looked around in the room she is sleeping in. She looked out of the window and saw that it was already night time with nobody in the streets.

'Huh... This looks more American than I thought it would be... I thought, I have chosen Fate Stay Night?' She thought in confusion as she pull off the blanket. She stood up and made her way towards the door and opened it.

She saw a man with white hair turned around from his seat as he flashed her a smile, "Oh? Has the sleeping beauty finally opened her eyes?"

"E-Eh? Who are you?!" Kiana asked in shock and embarrassment before feeling a sense of familiarity when she looked closer. The old looking man had white hair and was also wearing a red coat with a gun strapped on his hip... "S-Siegfried...? No... You look similar to dad but definitely not..."

"Ouch... To think you would mistake me for your father. This must be the first time I've been family-zoned." He said jokingly before introducing himself, "Well, young lady. My name is Tony. Tony Redgrave, one of the best mercenaries there is. Nice to meet you."

"Redgrave... You mean you're Dante?! The son of Sparda?!" She shouted in shock.

Dante's eyes shot wide opened in surprise before looking at her in suspicion, "How do that name?"

"Uh... Magic?" She answered weakly.
