31 [31] New Manga

The spinning wheel came to a stop.

Then, slowly, it disappeared, leaving only one prize that left Kazuya feeling somewhat speechless...

[Stone Mask]

In the world of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, when one wears this mask and applies blood to it, bone spikes emerge from within, penetrating the wearer's brain, transforming them into a vampire.

As a vampire, one gains a powerful physique, immortality, and the ability to survive even if their brain is pierced. They can survive with just their head remaining. They can even live underwater for centuries...

Truly, a monstrous existence.

However, such monsters have their weaknesses.

They fear sunlight and Ripple energy.

In the presence of sunlight, they instantly turn to dust and disappear...

This was not what he desired, especially after discovering the abilities of his system. He could gradually obtain the abilities from the manga he drew, so there was no reason to become a vampire for momentary strength, sacrificing his humanity.

Unless...

In extremely dire circumstances.

Only then, for the sake of survival, might he consider such a choice. But not now.

[Ding! Storage space opened—Items have been placed in the storage space.]

Hearing the voice that appeared in his ears, Kazuya's eyes brightened slightly.

A storage space?

With that in mind, he opened the system again.

The system now had four panels.

First, there was the empty homepage with three links: "ACG," "Dreams," and "Storage Space."

ACG led to several anime and manga titles.

The first was "[Rohan Kishibe Does Not Move]" (Completed).

The second was "[JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood]" (Completed).

The third was "[Battle Royale]" (Ongoing).

The fourth was "[JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency]" (Ongoing).

The fifth was "[JoJo's Bizarre Adventure – Others]" (Not serialized).

The sixth was "[Unnamed]" (Not serialized).

The seventh was "[Type-Moon]" (Not serialized).

These were all that was currently available. The sixth one was his new idea, but it was still in the process of being refined. He hadn't even finished drawing the first chapter.

Then there were the dreams.

"Battle Royale" (Closed).

"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood" (Open).

These were all the dreams available. If all were closed, he wouldn't dream at night, but if one was open, he could only click on one. If he clicked on "JoJo's," then "Battle Royale" would have to be closed, and vice versa.

Lastly...

There was the newly appeared storage space.

Upon opening it, he found himself somewhat disappointed.

The storage space currently only had one slot, and above it was a line of text:

[To prevent manifested items from endangering reality, only manifested items can be stored.]

Slot 1/1

RUA!

It turned out to be completely useless! He could only store the Stone Mask, and right now, there was only one slot available.

Where was the promised storage artifact? It was a letdown!

"Well... looking on the bright side, maybe I expected too much. This is fine too, after all, I won't have to worry about where to put the Stone Mask later. I'm not at ease leaving it around, and I'd hate to destroy it. Well... I'll keep it for now."

And...

There was one more thing.

Unlike the previous Battle Royale, the previous world had nothing mysterious about it. So the knowledge he could obtain was limited to things like firearm usage, danger perception, survival, and combat...

But—

The world of JoJo was different. Even in Part One, there was something called "Ripple Energy," a clear way to enhance one's strength and longevity.

This was a form of "knowledge" he could acquire!

Perhaps he could bring it into the real world—

In that case, he would be able to use Ripple Energy...

However, all of this was still unknown...

After making breakfast and seeing his younger sister off to school, Kazuya didn't think about this matter any further. Instead, he continued working on the settings for his new manga.

After all, in the real world, he could think about it at most for a few hours before it was time to sleep.

But in his dreams, it was different. In his dreams, he could think for years, with ample time to contemplate!

So, for now, let's think about the new book.

First, the character settings—

For his new book, he intended to fulfill the three elements JUMP demanded: friendship, effort, and victory.

First, friendship... This meant he couldn't have just one main character like most novels in his previous life, with everyone else being dispensable supporting characters. He needed to introduce a friend who could rival the main character, someone who was more of a frenemy...

A rival-like friend...

Then, the heroine.

Every manga had an attractive character, someone with a distinct personality and good looks, someone who appealed to the general aesthetic.

Next was the antagonist...

A charismatic antagonist would undoubtedly add a lot of sparkle to the manga. In his opinion, this was one of the most important elements of a manga. For example, in JoJo's case, the success of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure couldn't have happened without its unique and bizarre antagonists, like DIO, an irredeemable villain, a natural-born evildoer, and the world's savior of villains.

Such a presence.

And there was Aizen from Bleach, mysterious, powerful, and alluring.

For his new manga, he also planned to create such a character, a boss with distinctive traits who would be present from beginning to end, never to be redeemed.

Lastly—was the protagonist.

The primary embodiment of friendship, effort, and victory, the protagonist's character had to be cheerful, determined, resilient, and filled with dreams. As for abilities...

A protagonist must have unique abilities, but they didn't necessarily have to be the most powerful...

He had already thought about this ability.

The story was set in an urban area in an alternate world. In this world, there were no countries; the entire Earth was one nation, which made it less prone to conflicts...

In this world, there were unique individuals.

On this planet, over ninety percent of people possessed unique abilities, such as telekinesis, fire manipulation, shape-shifting, and other abilities. When it came to superpowers, his imagination surpassed that of other authors of this era, or rather, it wasn't his imagination but rather the vast array of abilities from countless manga, novels, and games from his previous life that he could integrate.

Then there were the inheritors. These inheritors gained ancient memories and practiced the methods of warriors, shamans, monks, magicians, onmyoji, and more.

Afterward, some of these individuals with abilities formed organizations that threatened the world, while others formed hero groups to counteract them.

As for the protagonist... Initially, he would start as a loser, considered to have no abilities. But he would be resilient, studying the books of warriors he could find on the market, becoming a hero, and then dying. It was only then that he would discover his superpower...

Just like in a game, the protagonist would receive a prompt after completing the game, suck as:
