Chapter 1 Ranci
Other than being super wealthy, Ranci lived quite a normal, if not boring, Life.
It was the last year of high school, and she was preparing to be an Attorney later. But, she wasn't sure, as she was a quite girl who lacked the confident and ability. However, it was a 'very cool' occupation to her, so it was decided that she will just have to work extra hard.
The final's were near, and it was a difficult period for every Student. Ranci had forced herself to study the entire week, she promised herself that she will take it seriously this time, after sleeping the whole day,it was 5 pm. Saturday, she finally felt relieved that tommorow would be a day off, she felt refreshed and full of energy after sleeping for so long, she thought that since it was still early she will go to a bookstore to rent some interesting books for her to read the rest of the day , she could just read a novel in her phone as well but she didn't wanted to as she knew that once she touched her phone she won't be able to let go.
She was in her night clothes, she tidied her bed and went to her bathroom to wash her face and hands, she got few casual clothes from her wardrobe and wore it. She looked at her mirror to see her figure, she was 16 but had a pretty mature figure, she was relatively taller than her friends at 5'6, she didn't think it was too long, 'its just my friends that are short'. She had round face with bangs, brown almond eyes, long wavy black hair that gets to her waist but was braided almost every day, it's because she found it irksome, she also had pale and pretty skin, she look like a typical above average pretty girl that gets a lot of love letters 'all the money was worth it' she thought.
She reached for her phone that was on her study table near the bed, she wore her shoe not forgetting to take the small pocket knife that was personally made for her, she always carried it around to make her feel safe. she made sure to close the windows and her room door before going out. she smiled to the maids and the gardeners that she saw as she walked to the gate. The gaurds bowed to her and asked if she needed a ride, which she refused saying it's just a quick visit to a book store, she internally thanked them for working hard as she made her way to the nearest bookstore.
It was a new store that opened just recently,
As she entered the shop she saw the new handsome cashier, who was her stepbrother since 10, 2 years older at 18 he already knew how to make money using his beautiful face and speaking abilities. He was not lacking any money but still wanted to work because it would be a new experience for him. She went to him, as he was checking the time on his phone he noticed her and smiled, it was a smile that made people stare as if lovestruck ,"good evening, what may you be looking for?" he asked, his voice was charming as well, not too deep but it was mature and captivating, a voice that made people relax. " I need a book recommendation" she said as she knew her brother read alot of books, but he was not a lover just a hard-core reader. He smiled again and gave her a book that was on his other hand, it seemed he was reading it, as she took the book she suddenly felt a strange tingling, her brother was silent as he saw her staring at the book, but soon started to speak with a better smile, "It's the new novel that I wrote, it's the only copy so don't lose it".
Her attention was on her brother when she heard the tone of his voice, it was different than usual and was filled with emotions which made her surprised. since young he had anything and everything he asked, so he was hard to impress, and he was always surrounded by people not just for his looks but also for his identity, that's the reason he always kept a certain distance, and that's how he got a natural calming tone, that's how Ranci saw and felt that is. To Ranci, her brother always had a gaze of indifference, the gaze was so often that it became his character and personality whenever people thought of him. 'But really that's just how people thought of him' Her brother was really simple than how he appeared.
She stared at her brothers smiling face that gave off a sad feeling for a second before dropping her gaze at the thick novel, 'why is he smiling like that? Is this a sad book? He sure looks confident' , she opened the first page and read it a little, she looked at her brother again before asking "why so suddenly?",
"for you", she raised an eyebrow but quickly went back to normal, She new that her brother was really smart and clever, 'Either he really made it for me as a gift to cheer me during my exams or he just said that to tease'. the latter was more likely.
"Did you really write it?" She really didn't think he was the type to write a book not to mention to write it for no reason. Hearing her question he just chuckled, "so? you didn't write it?" she asked confused, but she didn't got an answer so she just thought 'whatever', she closed the book 'it doesn't look like he will ask for money' she thought and smiled at her brother thanking and saying goodbye than heading back to home. She glanced back at the store to see her brother welcoming a customer, completely forgetting about the strange tingling sensation she had when first touching the book.
It was still 5:30, she took a quick shower, changed her clothes to more comfortable ones and applied some expensive but helpful moisturizers, she prepared few snacks and drinks at the table near her bed, and jumped on that comfortable surface ,charged her phone nearby in a short distance with the small pocket knife that she can reached easily, that made her feel safer, She took the novel that she got and started reading it, the book was quite thick, about 200 pages but was interesting enough to make her keep going. The cover was red with few darker red and black designs in the edges, but there was not a title which suprised Ranci but she didn't think much about because it made it look more mysterious which she thought was like him.
Ranci was expecting the book to be good, ofcourse because it was written by her brother but when she read the real thing it made her question again, After thinking for few moments she was sure its was not her brother who wrote this, it's not because of thoughts like the book is too bad/good to be his, but that his writing style was quite different from the book, 'I have seen his notes every so often at home, but this really doesn't suit him. Not only was the writing style different but the story was not like him as well'.
Ranci is not sure but she thinks she knows her brother pretty well compared to most, The not writing a title suited him, but the novel was a Romance fantasy novel with 3 capture targets and Romance was totally not for her brother.
'Andalin feria deLite was the adopted first daughter of the Well Respected Archduke of the Feria empire. Unlike what people expected, Andalin was not mistreated. The story was based in a fantasy world called khlon, And the Feria empire was the biggest empire there. In the world of khlon magic and strong beasts existed, the Fl in the story was a half-kefon (a type of beasts in the story world similar to a vampire and elf) half human child, When she was 7 the archduke found her in one of the kefon lairs that he was ordered to destroy, since than she was secretly trained to be a strong mage as kefons had a lot of manas. The main story starts when she was 18 when khlon had a big natural disaster which somehow made many low intelligent beasts lose control. Along with the 2nd capture target who was her childhood friend,Andalin was sent on her first mission to help eliminate the problems occurring, in the central research base heignoft. Where she would meet the 3rd capture target,one of the geniuses of the heignoft research base. She together with them will unravel the mysteries surrounding khlon, along in her 2nd mission she would meet the 1st capture target, the crown Prince of kefon beasts. The kefons were the second most powerful and intelligent beings after the human's, they had a peaceful relationship with the human's so they sent some help and manpower to help solve some problems concerning khlon, The 1st ml got partner with the Fl in her second raid, at first they did not got along together but later because of a miscalculation made by the strategist, they both got caught and were held captive for 1 month, during that time they developed trust and had a good understanding of each other, they remained good friends later'.
'And after that the story had few more situations with fl and the mls and other research developments for 3years, they finally understood what happened to khlon and found a solution, which required turning back time and doing a few other complicated things which our fl didn't understood so it was not written in the story, Turning back time was an ability they didn't have so it took another year to start the final operation.
At 22 the Fl with the 3 MLS and few others were sent back to time 23 years ago to stop something, and they discovered that it was related to fls origins, something led to another and they found out that the fls father and 1st mls kefon mentor who was like a second mother to him, they loved each other but during some aphrodisiacs incident in human empire , he got a human girl pregnant without his knowledge and later found that out in the 6th month of pregnancy which caused the mentor to be furious and break up. The father was devastated but wanted to take responsibility for his child, he took the human girl to his place and promised to take care of her , but the mentor was pregnant as well and later gave birth secretly, and that human girl found out about it and somehow killed that child, which caused the mentor and father to be furious and guilty, infact the both were so furious that they lost control and caused some magic core to crack somehow resulting the beasts to lose control over the years'.
'It really made me frustrated that whoever wrote this didn't go in details about this '.
'The Fl and mls with a lot of efforts and fights with the core itself got the crack to close, took them 2 years for that, they went back to their present and lived their life happily, the ending was a reversed harem ending, the Fl didn't chose any capture targets specifically and lived her life happily'.
yep, this story and style was not her brother's.
She was thinking about the plot and her brother but suddenly felt a sharp pain in her head, it started to hurt very bad, she reached for her phone while trying to keep concious but she just lost all her energy, she felt sore all over her body, she was trying to move her hand to call somebody but her hand didn't move and she soon fell unconscious. She was immensely confuse and afraid trying to make a sense while thousand of thoughts were in her mind. she doesn't remember after that because she probably fell asleep.
