Now's Your Chance

"What do you mean that?" Lin Ke asks curiously while hiding behind a tree as didn't want to catch the eye of any of the two creatures.

"That purple flower over there is a world spirit plant. They are extremely rare and only bloom after being nurtured by the world for hundreds of thousands of years." Lily says excitedly. "Lin Ke! Go get that flower! Give it to me! I can use it to make so many different things! I can probably use it to grow more of that type of flower! It can be used to make the most high quality paint!"

Lin Ke looks at Lily with a blank expression on his face. He couldn't tell if she was joking or not. "You must be kidding right? How am I supposed to get that flower when there's two huge monsters duking it out to get one? What am I supposed to do? Walk up to them and be like 'hehe don't worry about me! I'm just taking a look at this amazing flower, continue your fight please!' HELL NO!" Lin Ke shot back sarcastically. "Plus, what's in it for me?"

Lily thinks for a moment and says. "I'll help you condense a Divine Energy Core."

"Dea-" Lin Ke cuts himself off with a cough. "Ehem, I mean, that's not worth me risking my life."

Lily, who had read his thoughts, lets out a small sigh. "Fine, I'll also throw in healing that girl for free. So you can still get a reward for completing this mission, but I get to choose the reward."

"Alright!" Lin Ke says immediately, but then realizes that it won't be easy at all to get that flower. However, the animals don't give him much time to think, as they began to fight each other.

The eagle dived through the air, shooting for the white tiger's neck, while the tiger swiped his paws and leaped around, trying to smack the eagle out of the sky. The fight would look comical, if not for their large figures and their domineering auras.

'Hm. If I wait for them to fight each other until both of them are weak, I might have a chance of sneaking over there and grabbing the flower!' Lin Ke thinks to himself. 'I'll just have to draw the picture later! The flower is more important as of right now!'

Annoyed by the eagle's pestering and flying, the white tiger leaps backwards, landing on the ground, shaking it, and lets out a loud roar. The roar sends a terrifying wave of energy towards the eagle, who swiftly dodges out of the way, causing the wave of energy to crash into the canopy of the forest, slicing it cleanly in half.

This sight causes the hairs on Lin Ke's back to stand up. 'How powerful!' He thought, but thinking back to the sight he had witnessed earlier, this was probably considered weak. However, it was still enough to kill him, most likely.

The eagle, seeing that the tiger was starting to get serious, flaps his wings furiously, stirring up the air and forming a small tornado that ripped through the waters and headed towards the tiger. Surprisingly though, the flower remained perfectly fine, unaffected by anything. In fact, when Lin Ke concentrated on the flower, he could detect a faint and light barrier of some sort surrounding the patch of grass, blocking out all attacks.

The Tiger, seeing the tornado coming his way, only raises a paw and slices it in two. However, what the tiger didn't realize was the eagle was following closely behind the tornado, and the moment the tiger slashed the tornado, the eagle followed up by slicing at the tiger's neck with his beak. The eagle tore a deep gash into the side of the tiger's neck, causing blood to spurt out.

"ROARR!" The tiger lashed out, striking back with his paws, sending the eagle careening backwards through the air, where the eagle smashed into the tree on the opposite side of the clearing. Then, a bone chilling aura descended. The white tiger looked furious, and with blood dripping down the side of his neck, a closed sideways eye appeared in the middle of his forehead. At the same time, the white tiger's fur began to flow with a wind that was not there, and his eyes began to glow a deep blue color.

Lin Ke could hear crackling noises from where he was hiding. Finally, the tiger's third eye opened, and the pressure only got stronger. The third eye shined with a majestic blue light, making it hard to look straight at it. The pressure made it hard for Lin Ke to even breathe, leaving him gasping at the majestic sight of the tiger. Arcs of lightning began crackling around the tiger, and it advanced forward slowly.

As it walked towards the eagle menacingly, the eagle shuddered in fear. The eagle could sense the terrifying ability of the tiger, and it wanted to escape. However, its wings were bent at an odd angle, causing it to be unable to fly. The white tiger got closer and closer to the eagle, each of its steps shaking the heaven and earth, causing the ground to tremble, causing the eagle to panic. Without any resistance, the tiger pinned the eagle to the ground, staring at it fiercely with its three eyes.

The eagle seemed to be begging for mercy, screeching at the tiger pitifully, while being shocked and burned by the electricity flowing around the tiger. However, the tiger doesn't bother thinking about the eagle's words, and with one paw, it crushed the eagle under its feet. Lin Ke, who witnessed the sight, almost threw up again at the brutalness of the tiger's actions. However, he was interrupted by Lily's words.

"Get ready. Now's your chance! The tiger won't be able to move for a few minutes after using his third eye! When he collapses is your chance!"
