1 First Knight

As a soldier, I knew that death was something that came with the job. A battlefield was a moving cemetery, and death occurred almost as much as people taking a breath. But in the eyes of a knight, it was honorable to die for your kingdom.

I closed my eyes with pride brimming in my chest, or maybe it was blood. It didn't matter, all my life I was waiting for this moment. To be a part of something greater, to be whole. Going down chopping down these godless savages would be the greatest accomplishment for a lowborn like me.

When life finally slipped from me and plunged me into darkness, it felt peaceful.

"Lord, I am coming!" "Ahem…. that doesn't sound right" "Lord I am arriving soon"

The pearly gates, filled with angelic majesty. Blinding lights radiating warmth, I feel it!"

"Uhhhhhh"

"What the hell is wrong with this body? I hope you didn't call me here for one of your perverse parties again," "I've already told you I don't swing that way." A rough voice laughed.

Suddenly the bright lights and abundant warmth came to a complete halt and I was plunged right back into the darkness. The beautiful sounds of angelic singing and diving harp playing were replaced with strange jumbled voices.

"Where am I? My lord? I was there! I was there! Please, I don't understand! Where is this darkness? Whose Voice am I Hearing? Is it the devil?" I screeched in my mind, unable to even process what was happening.

My mind was shaken, despair washed over me. My whole life was preparing for this moment, and immediately was dashed in front of my eyes. I felt it, I was there, I made it. I reached out to grab at the empty air, wishing to grasp onto something… Yet, to my dismay, everything had gone out of My reach, up ahead lay only a strange abyss.

Remorse and dismay resembled a dagger slicing at My heart; the pain in his chest was unbearable. The despair seemed to last forever. In My Mind, I was completely unaware of how much time had passed. But eventually, my mind calmed down and became serene, and the voices became louder.

"Shut the hell up you muscle-headed brute! This is my newest masterpiece! And *Cough Cough* Those parties aren't what you think. I only enjoy showing off my collection." A smoother, more melodic voice spoke.

Clarity slowly returning to my mind. I can only try and figure out where I am. "I'm still in the dark so this can't be hell. I'm not even hot, it's quite cold. And I hear people, not screaming or the cackling of demons. I can feel some sensations in my body. So I can't be in a dream. "

"Hey we all have our things, I don't judge"

The wheels in my mind spun, and I pondered away… "Could it be…? Is this Limbo? Perhaps, I'm a righteous spirit that is needed to guide hero's their holy quests?

Yeah, that sounds right! My lord has chosen me to lead the next generations of heroes!

These Voices must be the Heroes!"

My former vigor started to resurface and I could feel my surroundings shifting. My dull eyes gradually began to regain their focus. As I looked around, a blinding light was blaring in my face. I tried raising my hand to block the light, but it wouldn't respond. Unable to block the light, I tried to turn away only for my head not to respond to me either.

"Would you just look!" said as two visions stepped in to block the light over the top of me. Two noble looking men, one was a little rougher, and looked like a barbarian king. Draped in furs and bulging with muscle. The other was more refined, a luxurious long black robe adored with golden ornaments. His sharp eyes peered down at me.

"Heroes, I am here to guide you. Where is this? Are we in the holy capital?" Many words tried to escape my lips but all that came was.

"Uhhhhhhhhh"

The two noble heroes stood over me like they were examining me. I couldn't do anything but moan. It was quite embarrassing, a slight chill went up my spine when I thought about it. But the chill was so deep I could feel my groundhog hibernating for winter.

"Hmm, its weapon is a lot smaller than I thought, it's acceptable though. You can't compare everyone to-"

"Huh? My weapon? I wield the Holy Halberd of punishment, a divine weapon forged by the greatest blacksmith in the seven kingdoms. It should be at least 2 meters in height *shivers* Heroes shouldn't disrespect the weapon of the lord, and why the hell is it so cold!"

*Poke*

" You deviant bastard! don't touch it!"

"Touch wha-" A new sensation entered my mind, a strange one it felt like..."Did he just touch?" My mind exploded.

"Uhhhhhhhhh Uhhhhhhhh Uhhhhhhhh"

"Look at the mark on his chest!"

"Demons! You are no heroes! You are vile Demons!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, screaming myself hoarse in my mind.

"UHHHHHHH UHHH UHHH"

Ignoring the rage-filled moans I was making, the Fur-clad demon poked higher this time, right near my heart "I-Is T-that the mark of Satinis? How h-how does a mortal have this?" His face warped from a disinterested curiosity to a abhorred reverence.

"Doesn't matter how, all it matters is that this body belongs to me now."The black-haired demon let out a smug sneer, quickly swatting away the molesting finger.

"Brother I apologize for calling your tastes perverse. You have truly shown me the light! Invite me to the next party, I will partake in any event you wish me to participate in. Even if you want me yourself." The red-haired demon looked down and blushed like a schoolgirl.

"Get the hell out of my domain right now!" The black robed demon exploded.

"Brother please do I not look good to you? I would do anything to please the new demon master"

"Demon Master my ass! Get out right now or I will kick you out!"

"Uhhhh D...Demons….Get….Away." I finally managed to muster. My rage was at its peak, these weren't heroes. They were demons and they pulled me from the sweet embrace of my lord just for some sick perversions.

"Brother Belis your homunculus can speak? You truly are majestic, a devil amongst demons, a ruler of life and death, a worthy master of all-

"Enough ass-kissing," The black-robed demon screeched at the Red-haired demon. Before returning his gaze to my body. "Hmm normally it takes a while for the soul to adjust to being forced back in the body, and even then ripping a soul for the grips of death does weaken the soul substantially."

"Y...You....n..not...H...Heroes!" I spat, trying my hardest to form the proper words for my grievances with my mouth.

"Heroes? No, we are not. Why would we be heroes?"The barbarian questioned, his face twisted in confusion.

"P...picked...lord.. guide heroes!"

"Hahahaha Brother belis He thinks he's some sort of heroic spirit or something. aha my friend you are no spirit. You are very much alive! In a way. As a thrall of the great demon lord of the northern border."

"D..Demons!.....Die…."I raged. Summoning any and every bit of strength in my body. But all i could do was lift a mere finger.

Seeing the gesture I was making, Belis snapped his fingers,"Enough of that" and my lips clamped shut, and my vision went dark." I don't know how your will survived, but it doesn't matter, you now belong to me. And that's all that matters."

"Belarus, Bellamere escort brother amadeus out, and throw this thing where I keep the rest of my collection.
