3rd Spirit Ring
Tang Feng, who was now 11years old, hit level 30. Under the utmost care of Heaven Dou Imperial Academy and the unique mimic environment room, his cultivation speed kept rising at almost visible rate.
Tang Feng was very happy with his progress. The only things he missed were his brother Tang San, his sister Xiao Wu, Grandmaster and his dad Tang Hao.
Tang Feng was already level 30. So he needed to hunt a spirit beast again. Meanwhile, the Emperor Team was arranged to go to the Great Spirit Arena all around the empire to fight in different situations gaining experience.
Under the academy's arrangement, Tang Feng's senior brother Ye Chen also didn't join the Emperor Team and decided to go hunt Spirit Beast for Tang Feng with teacher Lu Yu. After hunting the Spirit Beast, they would directly travel around the empire, fighting in Great Spirit Arena throughout the country as a team of two.
As for the rest of Emperor Team, they would follow teacher Qin Ming.
Soon, Tang Feng, Ye Chen and teacher Lu Yu went to Star Dou Forest to look for a suitable Spirit beast for Tang Feng. According to teacher Lu Yu, they started looking for a spirit beast which had high destructive power.
They came across several spirit beasts, but Lu Yu was satisfied with none. He had high expectations for his disciple and expected that Tang Feng would be able to hunt a spirit beast of at least close to 18000 years old.
Finally after looking around for two days, they met their requirement at the base of a volcanic mountain at the edge of Star Dou Forest! It was a Giant Earth King, a 1700 years old Fire attribute spirit beast.
This beast looked like a scorpion. It was very large in size. Its entire body is snow white in color. A tail made of a chain of nine tailbones rose high up, on top of it a fiery red tail hook was connected.
Lu Yu instructed Ye Chen to engage the beast. Ye Chen possessed his Calamity Bear and started a tussle with Giant Earth King. Meanwhile Lu Yu summoned his Death Kiss Bow and took aim.
He shot his arrows aiming the legs of Giant Earth King, rendering him immobile. After that, he shouted to Teng Feng "Xiao Feng, it's time, go get your 3rd spirit ring!"
Tang Feng immediately aimed at the Giant Earth King's head and shot the arrow. The Giant Earth King roared a while before it died after repeated Pierce shots from Tang Feng!
Immediately after the Spirit Beast's death, a purple ring floated from the dead Spirit Beast and headed towards Tang Feng. Tang Feng sat in meditative position and started absorbing the spirit ring.
Lost in his meditation, Tang Feng saw the moments of his childhood, practicing with his brother. The moment when his father gifted him a bow that he himself made. The bow was still preserved by him. Finally, the pain subsided and Tang Feng felt a warmth flow through his body. He understood that the absorption was successful. Carefully feeling his new powers, he opened his eyes.
Teacher Lu Yu was excited on seeing Tang Feng and said "Xiao Feng, you are in luck. You got a Torso bone from the Giant Earth King. Let's go back to the nearby city before you try to absorb it!"
After reaching Tulip City, a city close to volcanic mountains of Star Duo forest, they went to a hotel and booked a room. In the room, Tang Feng started absorbing the Torso bone. An excruciating pain attacked his whole body. Beads of sweat dropped down his forehead.
Luckily, he was prepared for the pain. After half a day passed, Tang Feng finally absorbed the Torso bone of the Giant Earth King!
All the time, both Yu Chen and teacher Lu Yu guarded Tang Feng, waiting with great anticipation for his new spirit skills.
Finally after Tang Feng opened his eyes, teacher Lu Yu said, "So Xiao Feng, what new abilities did you gain this time!"
Tang Feng smiled and replied "Teacher, my 3rd spirit ability is Flame Shot! It allows me to shoot a flame arrow at my target with a chance to cause burning damage to the target continuously! Also, since I can combine this skill with Clone shot, I can actually shoot five arrows together! As for the torso bone, it also provided me with a great ability, "Summon Fire Ball." It allows me to summon single or multiple fire balls depending on how much spirit power I wish to consume! Also, the Flame Shot can be charged to deal greater damage to the target! The power of the charge is directly proportional to the time and spirit power used to charge the arrow!
