1 Middle-earth

Land, the American continent.

In a Spanish-speaking country.

There was a young man, around 20 years old, focused on his computer. He had short hair and a few pimples on his large face. He is currently unemployed and not pursuing any studies, forgotten by society. Even his family has distanced themselves from him due to his strange behavior.

In short, a pitiable boy.

Until suddenly, there was a loud noise in the room where this young man was.

BOOM!

...

A few days later...

[In an incident that has left the community shocked, a large truck veered off the main road and crashed into a house, causing havoc in a room where a young man was...]

[While police and search teams are working hard to locate the responsible truck, its whereabouts remain unknown at this time.]

{First person}

'Swoosh Swoosh'

The gentle rustling of the wind caressed the meadow, making the grass ripple like waves in a green sea. The endless expanse of fresh grass stretched as far as the eye could see, dotted with vibrant wildflowers that seemed to dance to the rhythm of the breeze. It was a charming landscape, a sublime beauty that was hard to believe existed in reality.

But in this beautiful setting, a sound suddenly echoed, breaking this pleasant harmony.

'Darn... Where am I?'

'Who am I...?'

I whispered as I sat in this beautiful meadow, disoriented, taking in my surroundings.

'Ah... My head'

'The Hobbit... The Lord of the Rings... The Name of the Wind... Naruto... American continent... Xvideos... Planet Earth... My past life.'

'So, I've truly been reincarnated.'

I commented in awe as I gazed disbelievingly at the beautiful starry night.

'But who am I?'

Memories of my past life flowed through my mind like pieces of a jumbled puzzle. But there's something wrong with this, because there's no trace of my own identity, neither my name nor my appearance from before this reincarnation.

'Who was I really? How had I come to this new world with memories of a past life, but without information about my own existence?'

I asked myself in frustration as I stood up and brushed off my clothes.

'Ah... It doesn't matter. If it was me in my past life, there's a great possibility of being a successful person, so let's not worry about that...'

'Also, where am I?'

[Ding... Congratulations, host, on acquiring the login system...]

'So, this is the legendary system, talked about in all kinds of fanfictions I had read...'

'System, what are your functions?'

[This system has only three main functions.

Status: In this function, the host can view all their personal information.

Storage: Here, you can store any non-living objects. Moreover, the passage of time does not affect this place.

Login: You can only log in once a day, no matter the location, as it won't affect the outcome. Furthermore, you can obtain all kinds of things, from everyday use items to much more valuable objects.]

'It seems quite straightforward, and it's a plus not to be forced into doing missions, as that would be stressful.'

'System, do you have any gifts for newcomers?'

[Yes, host, would you like to open it?]

"Go ahead," I exclaimed excitedly.

[Ding... Congratulations, host, for obtaining...]

[1. Unparalleled Appearance: Immortal charm, incomparable looks]

[2. Life Source: A cultivation method focused on pursuing longevity by attracting and channeling the vital energy from the surroundings. One of its notable effects is extending the lives of those who practice it and maintaining a perpetually youthful appearance. Additionally, it allows mastery and control over the vital energy present in the surrounding environment.]

[3. World Information: Everything you need to know about the place where you are, including the language, basic knowledge, and a included map.]

[4. Cave: A place with items necessary for the host's subsistence, including a kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Also, there's only enough food for a month.]

[All items will be stored in the system's space.]

When the voice of the system finished speaking, I felt a great relief because I had everything I needed to live without worries for a while, as well as information about the world I was currently in.

"First, let's find a place to set up the cave that the system gave me, and then we'll worry about the rest," I told myself as I looked around more carefully.

"If I recall correctly, the moon rises in the east and sets in the west," I commented while gazing at the moon in the starry sky.

"But how do I know if it's setting or rising? I just know it's up there..."

I pondered for a few minutes, trying to observe where the moon was heading, but seeing that it remained stationary, I gave up.

"Darn documentaries, they really don't come in handy when you need them."

"No matter, let's just go in a random direction..."

As I thought and quietly complained, I decided to head in a direction where some hills were visible, as having a cave would be the best option at the moment.

Fifteen minutes later, I finally arrived at the spot where the hills were. I climbed to the top of one of them and noticed the presence of a river nearby, close to the hill's slope where I was.

This brought me deep joy, as I remembered that it was beneficial to settle near a river. This ensured access to food and water, providing me with a certain sense of security.

"At least, I think documentaries shouldn't be wrong about this," I thought while looking at the top of the hill.

"System, place the cave on this small mountain."

[Yes, host.]

After the voice of the system faded, I watched as a bright green light floated towards the center of the hill, then vanished. Uncertainty surged within me, thinking there might be a glitch in the system, but all my doubts vanished when the hill began to tremble violently.

Grabbing onto the first rock I found, I watched as the hill started growing rapidly. This tremendous movement lasted almost ten minutes until, in an instant, an imposing mountain stood before me. Majestic trees appeared, beautiful vegetation covered the landscape, and a grand staircase led to the mountaintop. I must admit that the place was incredibly beautiful.

Without wasting time, I began ascending to the top, filled with excitement about reaching my cave. However, what surprised me was that, upon taking the first step on the staircase, it felt like I passed through a thin layer of air.

"System, what did I just pass through?"

[Host, this mountain where your cave is located has a small protective field whose main function is to keep all monsters away, making it a safe place for your subsistence.]

"System, you seem to be a good entity."

I expressed my joy, as I value tranquility, though I don't mean to be a recluse. I simply prefer to stay calm. Nevertheless, when it comes to important matters, I'll be willing to take action and not hide.

As they say: "Be a dog, but not a coward."

As I ascended the mountain, the fresh and pure air filled my lungs as I observed the landscape. The limited vegetation was lush and diverse, with tall, leafy trees, shrubs, and flowers that spread across a palette of colors.

In the center of the summit, a beautiful cave was found, exuding a rustic charm that drew me in.

Approaching the cave, I could see that while the walls were made of stone and the ceiling was of rock, the interior was equipped with some basic comforts. There was a bed, a bathroom, and scattered kitchen utensils ready to use.

"This is a good place to stay," I thought as I walked around the area to get accustomed to it.

Having explored the entire cave, I decided it was time to check off the next items on my list of important things.

"System, show me the information about this world, as well as basic knowledge and the map."

[Yes, host...]

A vast amount of information began to gather in my mind.

"End of the War of the Last Alliance... Bruinen... Elves... Dwarves... Mordor..."

"Holy shit, I've traveled to the world of The Lord of the Rings!"

As I realized that I had entered the world of my favorite movies, an overwhelming excitement surged within me, or rather, I wouldn't know how to describe it. I was thrilled because I loved the movies set in this world, but my knowledge didn't extend much beyond them. I knew a few things about important characters and significant events, which I had come across, but I had never conducted in-depth research.

"Let's see... At the moment, it's the year 850 of the Third Age... So, if I'm not mistaken, in a few years, the king of Arnor should die... and later, the first major war of this age would begin against the king of Angmar..."

As I tried to recall the events of this period, I quickly unfolded the map of Middle-earth, or more accurately, the northwest part where everything takes place.

Upon examining the map, I noticed the strange symbols and letters, but soon those illegible words started making sense, and I could understand them.

"If I'm not mistaken, I'm currently near the Bruinen River. To the north would be Rivendell, to the south is Moria and the Misty Mountains to the east."

With both things now clear, I breathed a sigh of relief, as I had a grasp of my surroundings and only needed to think about what to do next.

"System, merge the last two things."

[Yes, host.]

As the information reached my mind, I felt a warm current pass through my body, relieving the last traces of stress.

However, after some time, an unpleasant smell began to fill the air, snapping me out of that peaceful state. Opening my eyes, I realized that I was covered in a black and foul-smelling substance, so I quickly went to take a shower.

An important note is that eventually, I had to remain in just a towel since I didn't have spare clothes. So, I had to wash my clothes. While a bit inconvenient, having amenities like bathrooms and washing machines in a world like this makes my daily life much easier. Now I can only hope that the system will provide me with some clothes or that I'll be able to buy them in a nearby village in the future.

With nothing more to say, I went to the mirror to assess my appearance, which left me very surprised. There's only one word that can describe me accurately: Handsome. If you want two words: Extremely handsome.

I don't want to sound narcissistic, but I'm genuinely delighted with my current appearance. I can't imagine anyone beating me in looks.

I have fair and smooth skin that's charming to the touch. My long, white hair is striking, and my well-defined eyebrows enhance my light-colored eyes, which gleam with captivating intensity.

My face is harmonious and attractive, and my lips are soft and appealing.

"I'll have to be careful in the future so no lady tries to abduct me," I said narcissistically, with a satisfied smile.
