The Engagement Ceremony

[Chen Xixi's Birthday party]

The Chen Mansion hosted a grand party to celebrate Chen Xixi 21st birthday as well as to set her engagement with Bai Hao Yun. Chen Xixi was dressed in a knee-length white lacy strapless gown. She wore some light makeup and tied half of her hair into a neat bun and placed the remaining of her hair on her shoulders. Her hair was long and curly making her look more charming.

It still had a long time before the party started so Chen Xixi walked around the huge garden of her house while waiting for guests to arrive. Myriad types of dishes were placed on the tables. Salad, chicken, pork, lamb and many more including desserts and beverages. She turned around to make sure her nobody was around before she sneakily took a piece of chicken wing and ate it with her hands. Just like an innocent child, a smile of contentment could be seen engraved on her face as she chewed on her food deliciously. When she was done eating, she subconsciously licked her fingers. "Chen Xixi!!!" Lin Ai Yu was yelling from a distance. Chen Xixi, immediately turned around an saw her mother pacing towards her. Oh no! She was done for it. Regardless, it doesn't matter if she was caught red-handed by her mother for eating on the sly since she had just finished eating her chicken wing. She glanced at Lin Ai Yu and smiled cheekily at her, preparing to get nagged by her. Lin Ai Yu gave up her intention to lecture Chen Xixi upon looking at her facial expression. "Go wash your hand, the guests are coming." Lin Ai Yu demanded.

Soon, Jess and Nana had arrived. Chen Xixi used to hanged out often with them during their high school. They haven't met for a while since graduated because Jess went overseas to further her studies meanwhile Nana was always busy with her work. "Happy Birthday girl!" Jess and Nana screamed excitedly while running towards Chen Xixi with their arms wide open. They gave her a warm and tight embrace. Chen Xixi was so happy, tears of joy flowed out from her eyes. They parted from their embraced and faced Chen Xixi. "You should cry. I flew all the way just to celebrate your 21st birthday with you." joked Jess. "Stop teasing her Jess! Good girl, don't cry on your special day." Nana shot Jess a look while patting Chen Xixi to comfort her. While they were laughing and chatting happily, Jess felt as if somebody poked her butt. She turned around and saw nothing so she decided to ignored the feeling. "Piak" Lina appeared out of the blue and gave Jess a spanking. Jess stared at her and grabbed her hand. "Hey, you pervert! Who said you can touch my butt?" Jess complained with sulky face. "I said so. It's been 2 years since I last spanked you and you butt is still as firm as ever." Lina chuckled. Nana and Chen Xixi smiled watching the drama of both of them.

All the guests had arrived apart from Bai Hao Yun, so the birthday party had begun. Everyone started to dig in and lively music was being played to make the atmosphere seems merrier. Chen Xixi couldn't wait any longer, she took a few pieces of chicken wings ,some meats and proceed eating with Lina, Jess and Nana. "(cough) I heard someone is getting engaged soon." teased Nana. "I wonder who is the lucky man" Jess continued. Without being bothered by them, Chen Xixi smiled and replied "Who knows I might not get engaged by today? He's not even here. He probably don't have the gut to come here because he knew that I am too good for him." Nana, Jess and Lina were speechless.

All of sudden, their surrounding had turned silent. Everyone were looking towards the direction of the entrance. A noble looking man cladded in formal attire was entering the celebration hall. Bai Hao Yun actually attended her birthday celebration. Just a few seconds ago, she was confident that he wouldn't come. Who would had thought that he would actually made his appearance. Chen Xixi was stunned beyond words.

Lin Ai Yu called Chen Xixi to greet the Bai's family before making an announcement on the stage. "Thank you all for coming to our Xixi's 21st birthday celebration party today. Apart from turning 21st on this day, our Xixi will be officially engaged with Bai Hao Yun today! We had been waiting so long for this day to come. They will get also get married by the end of this year." A loud applaud was sounded from the guests as soon as Lin Ai Yu was done speaking.
