25 chapter 22 Lan Zhan is worried
Wei Ying was taken back when lan Zhan pulled him closer and hugged him making not only their chest collide but also the poor hearts inside their ribcage. Wei Ying was so surprised that he isn't able to utter a single word when two strong arms pulled him closer towards the other person. He is lost. completely lost in this moment where he is hugged by the most coldest person, he has thought is.
In this moment noone can tell that if it's really lan Wangji they know. Even lan xichen is amaze by his action and the reason was obvious.
since childhood lan Wangji is know for his complete coldness towards others. it's not like he has attitudes towards them. it's his polite nature and being respectful to others ...Lan Wangji was brought up in an environment where the children were first taught to be disciplined before being kid. On the other hand, wei Ying is startled. His loud heartbeat is constantly reminding him he isn't daydreaming .The warmth in his waist made him feel the heat inside lan Wangji and the protective arms one around his shoulder and the another around his waist is giving him a sense of possessiveness.
Lan Wangji is 2cm taller than Wei wuxian i.e wei Ying is 186 cm while lan Zhan is 188 cm which is why wei ying head is on the older 's chest from where he is able to hear the fast heartbeat of lan Zhan clearly. The heartbeat somehow is calming his soul but at the same time making his heart beat faster every passing minute.

The warm breaths of lan Zhan on Wei ying's neck is giving light goosebumps to the latter.

His warm breaths on my neck is giving me light goosebumps...and the feeling is somewhat nice. yeah it's a nice feeling. I m able to hear his racing heart. He isn't saying anything but I don't why I think I can still understand him without him telling me anything in words... what's this feeling where one side of me want to break the contact and the other want to stay in this warmth as long as possible. I haven't felt something like this before
He hug me for minutes now but I didn't hug him back ... maybe it's the heat of moment for him and he don't know how to react.
I was in a daze when su she cough letting us know their presence. He coughed twice but lan Zhan didn't care still hugging me and not letting me go. I got embarrass at their reactions and somehow manage to break the hug.
I look at lan Zhan but to my surprise he had no emotion on on his face. My eyebrows twitched looking at him.. isn't his heart was beating nonstop when I was in his (cough) em..embrace and now he is standing like there's nothing wrong.
lan zha....? "i didn't said further when the lan juniors all together hug me some started sniffing . and i even heard them sobbing silently i don't what's wrong with lan jinyi he is crying out loud. i wanna cover his mouth for that.

After realising what did I spit from my fucking mouth I immediately cover my face in between them. After they ensure I m safe they broke the hug and look at me and I notice their corners of eyes are still wet. I smile fondly looking at their innocence and possessiveness.

After Wei Ying returned back to cloud Recesses. Madam lan immediately took him into her embrace while sniffing lightly only then her worried heart calm down. Wei Ying wasn't use to being hug by people around him and tonight he got so many all by those people who care for him. Wei Ying overwhelmed by their love.
where were you A Xian ? huh? don't do this to me again ! promise me "Madam lan said sobbing on his clothes.
Wei Ying heart clench when his always smiling madam lan cried holding him. He remember his mother and by remembering the sweet smile of his mother he smiled faintly while from inside he was crying bitterly. He felt a strong urge to call her 'mother'.

This is the first time he willingly called madam lan his mother. Everyone in the hall got emotional by the sight of their madam crying and her son in law consoling her.

Though wei Ying laid on the bed but was still absent minded and wasn't able to sleep. His body is inside cloud Recesses but his mind is still on the place where lan zhan embrace him like the world would collapse any moment . is it really lan Zhan? or his hallucinations ? was he day dream or it was true ?
Thinking of everything that happens to him after coming to cloud Recesses he smiled, unknown to him. How is if possible to get love and become a part of someone's family which you hardly know ? will they still love me when I would no longer stay with them?
Thinking of this he can't help but to think how madam lan was worried for him in the conference hall he saw how the mother was crying while holding him. His smile immediately faded,he remember his dead mother. Everytime he remembers his mother it always makes him cry. Noone from outside how much he misssed his mother. How much h wants to be called A Xian from his mother. How much his heart craves for his mother love. Noone knows from his smiling face how helpless he feels from inside. He took the chen qing ling placed on his lips and placed a heartbreaking tune...
He himself don't know how he got this habit that everytime his mind is lost or a battle of emotion is taking inside him..his hands founds their way to his flute and his lips plays the flute which expresses his exact emotion. He cried thinking how he didn't even get to saw his mother's dead body or to bid her last goodbye.. he remembers when he was 7 years old Xian...one day he woke up and didn't found his mother. He was told his mother will not come back and since then he waited for an entire year ..every day he hopes the next morning he wakes up he will find his mother waking him up by kissing his forehead lovingly and he pretends to still asleep as he use to and then she tickles him making him giggle...
He use to play his flute every night when he was 7 years old. This flute,cheng qing ling was a gift to him from his mother when he was 5 years old. so that's another reason why he plays this flute everytime he feels helpless or when something disturbs his mind. He cried bitterly thinking all those joyful memories while playing his flute. He has no words to describe the pain he have inside.
Don't know when he flet asleep playing the heartbreaking melody. His hand still holding his flute.
After Wei Ying went into deep slumber thick fog engulf his room coming out of nowhere and soon a lady in white suddenly appear in the middle of Wei ying's room. she elegantly walk to the bed and sat near wei Ying. Her long white fingers caress wei Ying's forehead lovingly. she stare at the beautiful figure infront of her eyes with affection before kissing his forehead with so much love in her own eyes.
Wei Ying groan in his sleep and unconsciously mumbles,
m..mother"
Her smile fainted hearing the miserable cry she caress his face again for sometime. A crystal like tear rolled down from the lady's eyes hearing the unconscious mumblings and landed on the temple of Wei Ying which she quickly wipe it. She took the flute from the latter's hand and place it on the table beside the bed. she place the pillow properly and after making sure the latter is comfortably sleeping she placed another kiss this time on his tear stained cheeks before finally fading away in the thick fog.
