1 Prologue
*Someone's POV*
Let me ask a question to all of you.
Where do you think do you belong in the social hierarchy of this world?
Are you placed in the lowest class where the people work their asses off just to survive, and reach the goals they have in their lives? Or are you one of those high-class people where you have the power that most of humanity doesn't have?
It doesn't matter, right? As long as you have that drive to reach the top, you can be whoever you want. Whether you just want a simple life or the strength to be the prime minister or a leader of a large community, as long as you have the talent and skills, you can achieve all of those things.
If you have that kind of mindset, then…
You're wrong.
Try to imagine this. There is probably a person in this world who is doing their best to place themselves in the highest class of this social hierarchy. They have the talent. A gift that they were born with that only they have in this world.
A person who is unique.
If that person will continue to strive for the success that they want, who knows what will happen to them in the future. You are probably thinking, that people will live a good life, all of their efforts will be worth it.
But our society is way worse than what you think.
Do you think that the people who are in the highest class will allow some stranger to be in the same position as them?
Humans are greedy creatures, and they will do anything to get all the glory for themselves.
Do you remember that person I was talking about earlier? Then think about it.
Do you think their lives will go the way how they want them to be?
In this society, the more ambitious a person can get, it will just destroy them in the future because of the people who are around them.
Some might be satisfied with their lives right now, but how about the others who are suffering from living every day with no guarantee of hope coming in their way?
Do we live in a world where everybody can be happy? No.
And that is why there is a social hierarchy in this world whether people like it or not.
Do you remember the questions in your test paper when all of you are still going to school? A question where it asks you what will you do to make this world a better place. What is the common answer to that question?
Unity. As long as we work together, we can do anything to make our home a better place to live in.
People want this harmony with one another. All of them think that by understanding each other, they can lessen the problems that this world is dealing with. Some people also dream of world peace where there are no issues at all.
But that is what I don't get from people who think that way.
Why would people want to make this world a better place if it's already beautiful?
The world is a cruel place? Is it truly frightening to live on this planet? It is not the world that is cruel.
Humanity is.
As long as there are humans living on this planet, the world will not attain perfection, and it would never be. This society is what makes this place disgusting just like what some people think.
A newborn bears no sin. But every human being in this world is destined to be evil.
A person is good, and at the same time, they are bad. It is impossible to make the other side disappear.
No matter how desperate you are to make a change for the better. No matter how much effort you have done to achieve the things you desire for yourself, and for the people around you…
You are subconsciously making this world worse.
To save something, you must sacrifice the other.
How many things did you sacrifice just to make your dreams come true or to make yourself into a better person? Are you even aware of those things?
People you have hurt in the past. People who you used for the sake of your self-satisfaction. How many did you sacrifice? Can you still say in front of my face that you want unity with one another after you have hurt a lot of human beings?
Wrath, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, sloth, and pride, we are living in this world with at least one of the seven deadly sins inside us. And once one of those has awakened inside of you, it will surely do something bad not only to the people around you but also to this world you are trying so hard to protect.
This is an inevitable truth.
But of course, there is always a solution for every problem that exists. So how can we fix this cruel society that we are in?
You make humanity submit to your command.
It's ridiculous, am I right? It is an impossible feat that no one can do. Well, you're wrong.
Anyone can do it.
Humans just have this way of thinking that they have their own limits, and that is why there are things that are impossible to achieve.
But how can a human do the impossible?
Like I said earlier, anyone can do it. They should break their limits if they want to do something.
But if someone wants to make humanity submit to them, you shouldn't see yourself as a human being.
You need to become a monster.
If you want to do the impossible, if you want to achieve something, you need to do everything to get what you want. And when I mean everything that includes ways that a human cannot even comprehend.
If humanity wants to achieve a foolish thing such as world peace, they should first experience how terrifying someone can be.
Abandon your righteousness. Do all of the ways unimaginable even if you need to sacrifice a lot just to make that one thing come true. If you want to make the world beautiful just like what our society wants, make humanity submit to you. Make your enemies afraid, and your followers believe in your principles.
Be a monster yourself.
That is the only way you can make the world a better place while humanity exists on this planet.
And that is what my desire is.
But of course, there is someone who wants to achieve the impossible as well while she is doing the right thing. A person who can do that is the one who is special.
An exceptional young woman with brown hair and emerald eyes will be there to make that happen.
I will be there watching her, and when the time comes, I will show up when that girl is on the brink of despair.
