History

The feeling of loneliness has always been a form of torture, it's an entire world where a cage is the limit to my freedom, the limit to my happiness, and the limit to my success.

This cage is where I can never flee from… a cage where I am Captive… A cage where it's decided that I'm going to live and die…

It wasn't noticeable when it began, but it started to break me slowly, day by day, night by night, every hour, every second, my life turned into a burden… as it progressed it shattered my fragile soul, my mind and my heart…

It seemed like a race, a race that led me to a point where… I felt lost.

Clueless, as to what to do, a voice resonated inside me, after that I began to hear more voices. They muttered like thousands of flies seemingly flying but invisible….

Every minute their voices I heard, left and right, was it my shadows or was it something else?

Were they my friends or were they my enemies? Where was god when all this started, when all this happened? when darkness began to become my only friend?

One day had passed, Inside a Conference room on the fortieth floor of a skyscraper.

[Location: Dark-Dust Guild.]

The room's windows were covered by the vertical blind valance, which created a sunless and sinister atmosphere.

"Guild leader, It has been over a month now, and Rankers have only been plundering on the floors that have already been cleared, if this continuous it will be difficult to acquire what we want "

Indeed, although gates offered valuable rewards it was quite rare, since only low level rifts have appeared for now, and the only place treasures, items and rewards are most common, is in the Tower of the sky.

A stick and a carrot one may say, since, not only did rankers risk their lives, but it was also a jackpot if you're the one who killed the floor boss and got the first clear of the floor.

"Vice Guild Leader is right, our resources have already been diminishing and the rifts don't aid us that much."

"I Agree, the only solution is to take all the resources of the eleventh floor for ourselves."

Although, it has been only three moths people have already adapted to the environment pretty quick, not only that, they have already grown accustomed to a dog eat dog world

Clearing floors not only meant that you can gain physical power but it also meant that you could easily become a tycoon. The least valuable item could sell at least 4,000 Us dollars and the most valuable item at +100 million Us dollars.

Slam* The conference's room doors opened.

"Who dares?"

"S-sorry, it's just t-that the Sky-Fate Guild is..."

"How dare you enter this meeting for such a petty reason, that trash guild isn't even worth mentioning"

"I concur, since when did such a guild exist?"

"Ha- many of us don't even recognize such a meager guild."

"B-but Sir..."

"Shut it and get out of here."

"O-ok..."

Dark-Dust was one of the strongest Guilds in the city, in fact it was ranked fourth amongst the other guilds. Sky-Fate on the other hand was ranked eight on the guild list and that meant it was quite weak in both power and assets.

"Wait...You may speak." A commanding voice with his eyes closed sat at the end of the desk, and halted the messenger.

"Y-yes Guild Leader."

Fidgeting he fixed his eyeglasses and proceeded.

"C-currently the Sky-Fate Guild is gathering it's rankers and the topic of discussion is 'Eleventh Floor' meaning..."

A man in a black attire then broke the silence when the messenger paused for a second. "Meaning?"

A dominating presence opened his eyes and said "Meaning that they will soon raid the eleventh floor."

"T-that's, correct guild leader." - Messenger

[Location: Sky-Fate Guild]

It was a modern stage conference with rankers who sat on the seats aligned in rows.

Chatter* Chatter*

"Is everyone here?"

C. made a question directed to his assistant who had an I-pad.

"Yes, Vice Leader, all rankers are now present."

C then proceeded on top of the stage, where there were four microphones and a tribune.

Chatter* Chatter*

"I wonder if we'll survive after today."

"Of course we will, we have 'Reaper' on our side."

"Yeah, but is she that strong? I heard there was an S-class ranker that just appeared."

"An S-Ranker? Since when?"

Chatter* Chatter*

Swoosh*

A strong aura gushed from the stage and an authoritative voice stated.

"Silence."

The entire room then quieted and turned at full attention.

Achoo*

Everyone turned to look at the female who sat on one of the front seats, even C.

"Who dares?"

She raised her hand and with a smile she answered.

"Sorry vice guild leader, it was me."

Sweat* Sweat* Reaper's expression sent shivers down C's spine 'So unlucky, it's that demon."

Ahem*

"We've already discussed it prior to this but I'll do a quick review."

A hologram then appeared behind C. Marshall.

"As we know, Tower of the Sky has been a breathing place where Rankers are born, and everyone who clears the first floor either alone or in groups has awakened their stone, but it all depends on climbing these floors to keep growing stronger."

"That also means whosoever clears the floor first will attain the most valuable reward and treasures of that floor."

"I'm sure you all want your pay don't you?"

"But in order for that to happen, it is first required to kill the floor boss."

"I believe everyone here knows of the massacre on the eleventh floor."

Everyone was excited until the moment came of this tragic remark, many family members were killed that day. Fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters etc. it was a replay of past events and no one wanted to remember those days if they could.

"Recent studies prove that on each floor the difficulty had increased, but because of our ignorance we mindlessly charged into the eleventh floor with the other guilds.

Now, no one wants to raid this place again, but there will soon come a day where we'll be forced to do so."

"It's only a matter of time and whosoever goes first, and of course, that will be us."

C then leaned closer to microphones and with a smirk on his face and releasing killing intent he continued. "I hope everyone's ready - It's time that monster atones with it's life."

"That's right, that monster has to pay!"

"I will fight as well, that monster needs to be put down!"

"Me too, I'll fight as well!"

Roaarrr!*

In tumult the stage room was overwhelmed by the spirit of war, it was no longer just about money that drove them, but revenge.
