1 Birthday bash

♪♪The alarm goes off, ring, ring-a-ling. Whenever our eyes meet, I notice but just spin around. Yet I keep getting closer, I know it's too late---♪♪(1)

"Ugh! Shut up!"

The phone was slapped to silence the very alarm it was instructed to ring, by the owner of the hand that assaulted it.

The girl, who mercilessly spanked an innocent smartphone, was sprawled on her bed in an unlady-like manner. She grunted as she clutched her head with her hands. A big bell was ringing in her head and it seemed like her brain tissues will burst out of her skull.

She was cursing her friends for making her drink this much on her first time with the alcohol.

Ahn Miyoung just turned 17 the previous night, but since she was in her last year of high school, her friends pursued her to try beer for the first time. All her friends were already 18, she was the youngest as she skipped a grade. Her friends started drinking a year ago, so she trusted them.

She had a sleepover for her birthday in her best friend Jung Nara's house. Nara's house was perfect for a birthday bash. The girl's parents were mostly outstation for their company's promotional events and other works. So, the high schoolers decided it would be a great idea to make their 'maknae'(2) drink.

Although, just how problematic this idea was, Ahn Miyoung realized it the moment she woke up.

"OH SH!T!!!"

Miyoung sprang up in the sitting position to check her phone. She unlocked it and kissed her wallpaper multiple times while muttering many apologies.

Her wallpaper was a group pic of the girl band 'Twice' dressed in cute hairbands, posing the iconic victory sign. Yup, she was a die-hard 'once'(3) since their debut.

"I'm so so so sorry for slapping you and asking you to shut up unnies(4). Please forgive this stupid fan of yours. I was having the world's worst hangover. This is all because of that bi*ch Nara. I'll chop her hair off for making me insult you my dear unnies. You know how much I love you right? Muah muah mua--- AAHH"

Ahn Miyoung's monologue was cut off by a pillow landing on her face. Jung Nara was sitting on the bed opposite to Miyoung's, throwing draggers on her with her death stare.

"You, ungrateful brat. How dare you blame me for your overdrinking when I stopped you from drinking a hundred times but you kept drinking like a fish?! Don't you have any shame?!" Nara was shaking with anger as her chest heaved up and down.

"Oww. Why on earth are you so mad for? You knew it was my first-time drinking. You should've controlled me better. Afterall, you're the eldest in our group." Miyoung whined while massaging her face.

The nonsense uttered by Ahn Miyoung broke the last straw of patience in Jung Nara.

She jumped out of her bed and dashed towards Miyoung to grab her ears. Miyoung, being caught off guard, howled in pain.

"OWWWWWW. Big sister, spare me. I promise I won't cause anymore trouble. Please, not my poor ears." Seeing Miyoung's reaction, put a satisfied smile on Nara's face.

"And now you remember me as someone older? I bet your ungrateful ass didn't remember the trouble it caused. I even had to clean up the mess after you threw up."

Ahn Miyoung's eyes grew bigger with each astonishing fact she learned about last night. Now that her friend mentioned about last night, she had some blurred flashes of events that took placed the previous night at her birthday party.

A mind throbbing pain shot up in her cranial box as she tried to remember any memories of her birthday bash, but it seemed as if her memory drive won't cooperate with her. She was gripping tightly her head again.

Watching her friend in misery, Nara decided to console her.

"Go and wash up. I'll tell you everything about yesterday's night if you don't remember anything. Don't trouble your pea-sized brain over it." Jung Nara tapped her forehead while Miyoung scrunched her nose cutely.

"Okkaaayyyyyy my dearest unnie. This is the reason I love you the most." Ahn Miyoung singed as she threw arms around her favourite friend. Nara hugged her back with equal warmth.

"Really? More than your Twice unnies?" "Yup! Definetly!" Miyoung chipped and they both giggled happily, cherishing the beautiful moment.

Ahn Miyoung was humming a song as she skipped towards her friend who was setting the table for their late breakfast. She kissed Jung Nara on the cheek out of fondness.

"Wow! My first ever hangover soup! Thank you so so so much. I love you muah!!"

Nara smiled sweetly as she saw this girl, who was no less than a sister to her, being this happy over some soup. This easy to please nature of hers what makes her so lovable.

"Okay Miss Ahn Miyoung. Now sit your ass down and try to remember as much as you can. I'll fill up the information you can't seem to remember. Okay?"

Miyoung nodded her head in agreement and tried recalling as much as her drunk mind was able to register the last night events.
