A couple of days later, lord Nikolai came back from his travels and acted as normal. He walked into the castle and casually walked to Elissa's room. He walked in and said, "I have something to show you."
Elissa followed him, wondering what it could be as they walked outside.
Once they got there, he opened the door of a horse-pulled cart and she saw her adoptive mother looking over the dead body of her son. Her jaw dropped when she saw what she assumed was her daughter and the memories started flooding back.
Ten years ago, Elissa looked tired and beaten up. She was sitting on the floor of a cell that had no windows.
"Come out it's your turn to get sold," said a tall man who she figured was a vampire from the way he proudly bore his fangs.
He unlocked the cell door and when she didn't move he opened the door and slapped her in the face. He then, dragged her out by force and took her outside to what looked like an archway.
He placed her there and tucked her hair back to reveal her pointy ears and the crowd started cheering. They started bidding large sums for her not knowing what was going on,
she looked on to her audience to see that a large number of them bore their fangs and sported red eyes some redder than others.
As someone with an elven heritage, she knew that her blood was precious among vampires and she didn't want to become a demon's blood bag.
She thought about how she had just lost her mother to the council and even when she tried to escape, she was caught immediately by these human traffickers.
She hated the fact that she was a quarter elf and just the thought of her mother made her cry.
As she burst into tears, she looked up at the crowd just to see them become even more enthusiastic at the sight.
As they were about to decide on a bid, the place was suddenly attacked by a group of people causing a riot which allowed her to escape.
She kept running but it was no use, they were searching for her and she was extremely tired.
She was about to get caught when a woman dragged her inside her home and said, "Don't make a sound." she did as the woman said and the officials passed by the house not knowing where she had gone.
After thanking the woman, the woman whose name was Lilian offered to let her stay at her house as long as she would clip and carve the long tips of her ears to make them look round and short as a human's would.
After two years, she was happy with her new life living in the town of Blackspire which was right next to Acelin castle.
She lived with Lilian and her son James and was beloved by everyone in the town, she was the apple of a lot of young men's eyes but had eyes for only one person, it was a handsome young lad named Nick.
He worked as one of the volunteers for the town night watch their job was to watch for intruders and alert the vampire guards if there was any trouble or suspicious activity.
One day, Elissa was strolling through the town towards the market when she heard two girls talking about how much it was a bummer that the most handsome man in their village is leaving.
Elissa then decided to talk to Nick about it. When she got to his small home, she saw him moving some of his furniture out and giving them to other people in the neighborhood as It would take too much time to sell them. Not wanting him to leave, she told him they needed to talk.
"Ok," said Nick and he showed her inside. They were sitting next to each other in the small dining area because there was no other furniture.
"Sorry, I would offer you something but I'm leaving for another town in a few hours for family reasons. So there is nothing here," said Nick.
"It's alright, Ummm. I have something to tell you," said Elissa.
"Go on," said Nick.
"I like you," said Elissa.
"I know where friends aren't we," said Nick with a raised eyebrow.
"No, I like, I'm in love with you," said Elissa.
Nick paused for a while then said "I like you too."
He then leaned in and kissed her.
She kissed him back and then he started tugging on her dress's lace.
not knowing where this was heading she grabbed his hand and he then said, "would you like to make love with me."
She blushed from both the sensation of the kiss and being with the one she loved.
Even though it was against her better judgment, knowing she might never see him again she looked into his brown eyes and said, "Yes,"
He then stood up, grabbed her, and placed her on the dining table.
He freed the fabric from her back and trailed lingering kisses on her neck. After he untied her lace with his hands he asked her to raise her arms and once she did, he pulled off her dress and her whole upper body was exposed.
She blushed when he whispered, "beautiful."
He then took off his shirt and asked her to lie on her back and she did.
He then took off her panties.
Her eyes went wide. He noticed it and said, "Relax."
'He pampered her chest with his lips then kissed his way down to her lower lips.
Elissa moaned from all the things he was doing to her body.
He pulled away from her wetness and took off his trousers.
He then replaced his tongue with his manhood and started pumping.
He went slow at first then increased his pace slowly.
Elissa was overwhelmed with pleasure and let go to feel her body unintentionally vibrate a little.
He then increased the pace to even more and then her body made a weird swishing sound from how wet she was, which made her blush even more.
After a couple minutes, they had both finished. He then whispered "I love you." in her ear
They got dressed then spent the remaining hours together before he had to go.
Four months later she realized she was pregnant but she had no way of contacting him.
She eventually gave birth to an extremely sickly baby girl.
One day she was walking through town to buy medicine for her baby when she saw the whole town gathering together to look at something.
She figured it was the Lord who came to the town to see the mayor about the insecurity issue. She decided to take a peek but was surprised when she saw Nick dressed in fancy clothing. Not even noticing his dark red eyes and long fangs, she ran up and hugged him.
Which made everyone gasp.
His guards ran up to remove her from his presence but they were shocked when he placed his hand on her head in a loving way and said "Hello."
His voice threw Elissa off because Nick had always had a warm soft voice but this man's voice was deep and cold.
She then took notice and said, "Nick is that you?"
He nodded and said, "Nikolai, to be precise."
Not understanding she looked up at him and the guards and then all the townsmen. Then she figured out who he was and she bent down and said "I apologize my lord." thinking that it was just a coincidence.
He put his hand on her shoulders and said, "How can you see through the illusion spell."
"What you mean," said Elissa.
"You have elven blood, I can smell it now," said Nikolai with a smile on his face.
He told his guards to take her into his carriage and they did as he said and grabbed her and knocked her out.
After an unknown amount of time, she woke up in a small room.
She saw Nikolai sitting on her bed.
He then said, "good your awake."
but before she could speak he continued, "I am Nick. Well, I was for an undercover mission for the council.
I want you to be my pet you will take care of the palace along with Eleanor and provide me with your blood whenever I request it. This will be your room."
"You don't have a choice in the matter so don't do anything stupid, and that day we spent together was the last time I will ever show you affection of any kind," said Nikolai when he was about to leave, and then, he walked out.
After a week she did the bonding ritual.
She noticed how seemingly unhappy Nikolai's two children were so She sent a letter to her mother to hide with the child in a small town.
She figured Nikolai would never go there and her daughter would have a better life.
Her attention was brought back to the present when Nikolai said "Why didn't you tell me?"
