24 CH 19: Taking Out the Chembarons

Looking at Finn, the dumbest and most annoying one of the chembarons, Slathilia had a look of disapproval. For many reasons, but one reason stood out in particular. His drip. In all his years, no matter if it was in this world or in his previous world, he had never seen such trash drip. The yellow jacket was nice, but the dumb shit had draped it over his shoulders instead, the shirt under it was nearly completely unbuttoned, and his pants... ugh, his pants would always nearly make him gag.

He wanted to look like a gangster while wearing formal clothes. Simply ruining the entire set. Villains in clean and fresh suits have always been absolute menaces, yet this guy tried to wear in like a gangster. Fucking ruining it. Slathilia had a suit, and would wear it from time to time even when fighting. That drip always hit harder than any of his. Even his current one, his usual one, wouldn't match up to his clean black suit in drip. Especially when he would morph his hair to being chin length. He looked like a professional ass whooper then.

And God, Finn's hair. Slathilia honestly had to hold himself back from becoming violent when he saw that hair. That dollar store, low budget mohawk was the only reason he needed to kill his trash ass. Just his looks made him wonder why he kept Finn of all people alive whenever he saw him. Just his presence was disgusting in their circle.

Silco :"We aren't due for an assembly."

Slathilia :"So this better be worth it."

Finn :"We should be. Ever since your Stunt Topside, profits have been plummeting."

Renni :"He's right. Merchandise is frozen at the border. Topsiders are too afraid to cross."

Finn :"We're all wondering, what's your plan to fix this?"

Silco :"You're all wondering, are you?"

Finn :"Way I see it, we should cut a deal and give back the Gemstone. Better to have some trade than none at all."

Silco :"The border issue is temporary. Slathilia and Jinx will deal with it."

Finn :"Huh, hahaha. Rumor is, your dog's off her leash. How you meant to bring Piltover to heel if you can't handle your own people, huh?"

"Finn, Finn..." Slathilia sighed, a vein popping on his neck as he gently, slowly walked around the table. Around the four seated chembarons. And towards Finn. "You never really knew when to keep quiet. So the entire reason why you guys are panicking like headless chickens is because the profit is low. I expected more from you all. I mean, we've been in business for a long time. It's normal for profits to go up and down. But now..."

As he stood in front of him, making his face twitch, he kept going :"Now, you're acting like a bitch. Like an ungrateful, arrogant bitch who overestimates much she can bite. Let me ask you something." As he trailed off, he patted his shoulders with both hands, seemingly acting friendly. Even though his nonchalant eyes didn't have the same friendliness.

"Why do you think you're here? Why do you think you're here? Why do you think you have the position you currently have? It's because of us, Finn. It's because we put you in this position. Gave you this status. We decided to share our profits, our riches, our power, our freedom, with you. A fellow Zaunite. Not in exchange for more profits. That's something we could have easily achieved by ourselves. We shared it so we could use less effort, and to bring out more of our fellow men in the depth.

So we could share the warmth and freedom we could feel in the sunlight. The sunlight that could never reach where we were. Where we came from. We gave you what you have now. Your profits, your riches, your power, your freedom, they all were given by us. They belonged to us. Still do. And will always do. And now..."

As Finn started to grow nervous, looking around at the other chembarons who shared the same nervousness, Slathilia began to chuckle. An eerie, sinister chuckle that made them sweat nervously.

"Now, we want them back."

His voice got impossible deeper, raspy enough to belong to a monster as he growled with a fang full smile. When he felt a sharp pain on his shoulders, Finn twitched, hissing as he tried to get away. But suddenly, the exposed area of his neck started to turn a creepy red. His head began to ache as his mind got hazy immediately.

Slathilia let go, causing him to stumble back as he fought to stand. Panting harshly as he groaned in pain. Suddenly, he started shouting in pain, coughing out blood as he fell to his knees. As he grabbed onto his chest, the pain growing unbearable, his body began to shake violently.

"W-what did you do to me?!" He shouted in agony, the pain starting to become unbearable as the redness grew around his body, making his skin bulge disgustingly. "Oh, nothing." Slathilia shrugged, seemingly not bothered at all as he smirked :"Just doing what always makes things easier."

As the other chembarons watched in horror, Finn's body started to morph as he screamed in pain. His voice growing deeper with every shout as the sounds of him gurgling on his own blood could be heard. They had already seen what the transformation with Shimmer was like, but even that wasn't as disgusting and creepy as what was happening.

As they stepped back, Finn's body morphed. His clothes ripped, his bloody muscles bulged and his bones cracked as he roared in pain. It didn't take long for him to completely change. Moments later, Finn was gone. Dead. And replaced by a humanoid bloody monster over two meters tall. With a mouth belonging to nightmares, he stood in front of Slathilia.

Not attacking. Not moving. Not even making a sound as he just stood there. Blood simply dripping out of mouth and from between his blade-like fangs onto the ground. Making a puddle of filthy and dark blood. Slathilia watched it all. Watched the entire transformation from a person to a monster. And didn't even flinch. Simply just waited for it to finish.

And once it was done, he raised his hand. The same scene of his biomass expanding to his hand happened. But this time, the black and red biomass changed. It turned completely red before latching onto the Infected. It took only a few seconds for the new Symbiote to envelope Infected, guarding and enhancing it in a suit of red biomass. Turning it from a mindless monster, to an absolute hulking, killing machine with all fangs and no eyes.

(A/N: Like those big ass Symbiote enemies in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. My god, that game is so underrated. Honestly, it's one of the best Spider-Man games I've ever played. Not only is the gameplay top tier, the plot is fantastic, the world traveling is fun as hell, combat is awesome, was the only game to let you have so much fun and diversity with the Symbiote suit, and just the fact you could choose to be a villain and take over the city with Symbiotes AND STAY WITH BLACK CAT made it my favorite Spider-Man game! I still play it to this day.)

"Welcome to the family, little one." Slathilia smiled, stroking the chin of the newborn Symbiotic-Infected and smiling as it purred at his touch :"From now on, you'll take over Finn's business till we absorb it all back. I trust you'll complete it with no problems. And now, for you lot."

Turning to the horrified chembarons who were too scared to run, he smiled softly :"I suppose you know what happens next, correct?" All they heard was creepy screeches from the outside as more and more of those Symbiotic-Infected started crawling into the place.

And the rest is history.

-

With the business done, and having taken everything from the other chembarons, the three of them made their way back. At Silco's office, he sat back on his chair. Slathilia stood in front of the desk and Sevika went outside.

Silco :"I knew you could do that, but I didn't know you had your own little personal army around just awaiting your orders."

Slathilia :"Didn't really get the chance to tell. But yeah, it's nice to have them. Would be life saving if something dangerous happened."

Silco :"I shudder at the thought of you considering something dangerous-"

The old man mused, but was interrupted when Jinx suddenly popped out behind him and turned his chair to her. Giving him a creepy and dangerous little grin, slumping down on his lap as she grabbed his chin harshly :"What are you two talking about? Are you going to keep secrets from me again?"

Silco :"... Sigh, Jinx, I didn't know. I heard what happened from Thilia already. I know you already found out. But I didn't know either. Marcus never told me she was in Stillwater."

Jinx :"But you found out she came back. You lied."

Silco :"Jinx, I know you're mad. And I can't blame you. It was Thilia who reassured me later. But I did it to protect you."

Jinx :"From what?"

Silco :"From her. I thought that she simply came back with that enforcer just for the crystal. Not for you. Just like you, I had thought she had truly abandoned you that night. So when I found out she returned, I was scared she just wanted to hurt you. And you would definitely be vulnerable enough against her to be hurt. You know that. I simply wanted to protect my family. To stop who I thought had betrayed you from hurting you again."

Jinx's angry gaze softened more and more, until it was replaced with a sad one as she hugged him gently, letting Silco hug her back as he continued, patting the muscular hand that Slathilia gently placed on his shoulder :"But it's alright now. Even if I don't trust anybody, I trust Thilia enough to believe in his words. If he is saying that Vi is here for you, if only that enforcer is the parasite latched onto her who wants to hurt us, then I believe in him. I was simply worried for my children, Jinx. And for you, I'm willing to back down against her."

"Really? Do you mean that?" She sobbed gently, looking into his eyes as he stroked her head lovingly :"Of course, child. You two are my everything. Not this empire, not the Undercity, not Zaun. You are. And if it's for your happiness and safety, I'm willing to throw away everything. Me willing to back down from a fight and not wishing to hurt the one who's dead to you is nothing."

"Thank you, Silco. Thank you." She sobbed, tears falling down as she hugged him. Burying her head in his chest as he stroked her blue head and trembling back fondly :"Of course, my child. If it's for your happiness, then it's alright."

After calming down, she wiped her tears as she looked at Silco and Slathilia with hopeful eyes :"Then-then what now? Do we go and get Vi back? Everything solved now, right?"

Slathilia :"I'm sorry, Jinx, but not quite. The problem was never Silco, it was Vi. I never doubted that he'd let go of Vi for you, since he didn't have anything against her to begin with. But Vi is different. She's out for revenge, and needs to be calmed down first."

Silco :"Hm, you're right. Unless she has been convinced, bringing her here will only cause useless trouble. She needs to come here by herself, when she's ready."

Jinx, disappointed :"Oh..."

Slathilia, patting her head :"Hahaha, don't worry, babe. I'm sure a mouthful of Silco's story telling about the past and everything will solve everything."

Jinx, giggling :"I don't think Vi is patient enough to sit through Silco's entire story. She'll either fall asleep or get violent!"

Slathilia :"Fall asleep like you did one time?"

Jinx :"Hehehe!"

Silco :"Sigh, you two…"
