42 Chemtech Transformation

Looking at the goon, Silco thinking he heard it wrong, "What mechanical monster?"

"Boss... a huge robot … two meters tall… our weapons don't even leave a mark..."

The excessive blood loss made the face of the man very pale, as if he would collapse at any time.

"Drink this." Silco unscrewed the cork of a vial in his hand and handed it to his subordinate, "It will save your life."

He hesitated for a moment, obviously aware of the side effects of the shimmer potion.

But it's this or being dead, who cares about the side effects?

He reached out his trembling hand to take the vial, then took a deep breath, raised his head, and took a shot of the purple liquid.

Immediately, accompanied by the sound of bones creaking and flesh and blood tearing, the wound on his right arm healed rapidly, the muscles on his body grew and mutated rapidly, and purple blood vessels protruded from the skin of his body.

"Ugh!!!" The man with the broken arm crawled on the ground in pain, spitting out mouthfuls of purple blood, and screaming in pain.

The potion had already taken effect, completely transforming him, and making his appearance beyond what would be categorize as human.

So it cannot regenerate severed limbs...

Silco held his chin and stared at the underling who had been transformed by Shimmer in front of him, "How do you feel?"

The man stood up, and his height was now a head taller than a two-meter-tall bald tattooed man.

He clenched his terrifying fist that exuded dark purple light, and a series of cracking sounds came from his fist.

"I… feel...power!"

"Yes, power." Silco smiled faintly, "Now, let's deal with the mechanical monster you mentioned."

...

...

At the outer gate of the old cannery, Lilin in his powersuit, Caitlin with a rifle in her hand, lead by Jayce who transformed his hammer into an energy cannon standing in the front.

After seeing the three of them obliterate their opponents, Vander's men silently chose to follow behind them to last hit leftover minions.

Vi, Powder, Claggor and Mylo were also among the crowd, under Benzo's watch, which is to prevent them from running down mid or inting kills over to the enemy team.

"Jayce, on your left!"

Caitlin aimed and shot while warning Jayce, and swiftly grazed a gangster's leg, causing him to fall to the ground and disabling movement.

"Got it!"

And Jayce changed the direction of the energy cannon, pulled the trigger twice, the hex-mechanical device drew power from the energy crystal, and then fired two blue-white energy balls from the cannon.

The turbulent electric light did not directly impact at the people's bodies, but collided with the ground or walls, only the shock waves generated by the energy collision affected and stunned those people.

It was an understanding between the two of them and Lilin, unless it was absolutely necessary, they tried their best to not kill people.

Although killing these minions can also give some experience points to Lilin, he decided against it if possible. After all, he grew up in a civilian environment and there's no real hatred toward these people.

"Clear."

After Caitlin took out the last gangster, they took down the defense line outside of the factory.

Headed by Lilin in power armor, the group headed towards the interior of the cannery.

"What is this!? The enforcers aren't this strong!"

"It's a massacre!"

"Quick... go find the boss!"

"Screw Silco, run!"

"No! don't kill me! I surrender!"

...

Firearms and melee weapons are easy enough to deal with for Lilin and the squad. But some of Silco's men are equipped with Chemtech augments, which gives them more fighting power.

But in the face of Lilin's invulnerable armor, Silco's men lost all desire to fight.

Coupled with Jayce's seemingly inexhaustible strength with his hammer, and the high-power energy cannon fired shot after shot, they really couldn't hold the fort.

These gangsters who had lost their morale were taken down and laid on the ground crying, fled when they saw Lilin, or dropped their weapons and raised their hands to surrender...

Not long after, Lilin and his group came to the middle of the factory, where the remaining twenty or so loyal subordinates to Silco gathered.

"Silco! You bastard, let Vander go!"

Seeing Silco standing on the iron-clad bridge on the second floor, Benzo could no longer suppress his anger, holding a long blade, pointed at Silco and yelled.

Silco glanced at Benzo coldly, paying him no attention.

He looked up and down at the powersuit at the front of the crowd, and muttered, "This kind of machine hadn't exist a few years ago when we were..." then his gaze focused on its pilot, Lilin.

Lilin noticed this, and walked toward the iron bridge. The heaviness of the suit trembled the ground. Step, after step, he walked closer to Silco, meeting his gaze from the ground.

"Hextech... topsider, why do you meddle in our business in the undercity?" Silco's voice was as cold as ice.

"There's nothing against you. Release Vander and let us ask a few questions..." Lilin looked back at Caitlyn, "Then it's none of our business."

Not exactly a friendly tone, perhaps even condescending.

Lilin didn't know Silco, but it seems Silco and Vander were enemies. An enemy of an enemy may not be a friend, but an enemy of a friend is still most likely an enemy, politeness is overrated in this scenario.

"Interesting..." Silco laughed, but there isn't the slightest smile on his face, "You think that this … armor of yours lets you roam Zaun how you like?"

Lilin looked at the gangsters left on the second floor, and laughed, "Do you think your group of goons will be able to stop me?"

"Well, we'll find out?" Silco looked indifferent and snapped his fingers casually.

A hoarse growl that sounded nothing like a human came from a dark corner of the factory.

"Be careful! It's the monster! The one that captured Vander!" Vi, in the crowd behind Lilin, reminded him.

"A monster..." Lilin scanned his surroundings and told the group, "Move back, and protect yourselves."

There were no objection from Vander's people, most of them had seen the damages at the bar. All of them retreated to the place that led to here when they came.

Caitlin and Jayce retreated along with them but stood at the forefront of the crowd, ready to provide Lilin with long-range fire support at any time.

Suddenly, from the corner of his eye, Lilin caught a glimpse of a faint purple flashing by, it was difficult for the naked eye to make out its figure.

A chill up his spine, and he activated the HUD to prepare for a tough combat.

In the next second, a huge purple fuzzy figure launched an attack from behind Lilin, and rushed straight at him at an extraordinary speed.

A loud crash of a side wall indicates that Lilin had been struck. Attempting to get up, the system panel simultaneously issued a message:

[You have been attacked by a chemtech transformation (experimental). Exoskeleton power armor -883 HP. ]
