-Arcadia Online-

NOTICE: Currently in progress of rewriting things. The general plot will stay the same, but the writing will be better. Chapters 1-12 are already done. Arcadia Online; the first major VRMMORPG in the world. It’s a fantasy-like game where you can immerse yourself in it as if you were actually there, and do whatever you want (as long as it’s within the T for Teen rating). You can make friends, money, or even be the protagonist of your own adventure! Anything your heart desires, this game will let you do it! Josh is an ordinary 18-year-old guy that enjoys games; perhaps a bit too much. He plays Arcadia day in, and day out; for him, this is his job, his source of entertainment, everything! This game is practically his livelihood. Maybe one day he'll meet someone that can break him out of his shell and help to better himself as a person. New chapters either every day or every other day.

The Patch Notes

"What a horrible mission"

"Yeah"

We had finally finished the mission, but it ended up taking us two tries. The first time we got to the end, but were encircled by wolves, and instead of staying behind us where it was safe, the NPC ran past both of us, up to one of the wolves, and punched it before immediately being attacked and instantly dying. The second time around we decided that Olivia would pick up the NPC and carry him out of danger while I fought the enemies. It surprisingly worked and the guy got his ingredients, and we received our reward.

"I think I'm done playing this game for today."

"Yeah, same"

"I'm gonna log out, see you later."

"Bye."

The screen went black, and I started the long process of taking off my VR equipment. Gloves, headset, trackers, all of it. This time I put everything away properly rather than just tossing it on my bed, and once I was done, I grabbed my phone, checked for any new notifications, and made my way downstairs.

It was only around 1:00 PM, and I honestly didn't have much to do. Oh, wait, that summer homework, yeah, I'll get started on that in a bit. Good thing she reminded me. I made my way to the kitchen and turned on our rumba then started wiping down the counters and tidying up the house a bit. I didn't go overboard on the cleaning until everything was spotless but did enough so it would look clean to anyone that didn't look too carefully or try to nitpick. Like, oh, there's some dust over here in the hard-to-reach spot, you should have tried harder. Whoops, I'm going off track again.

I wasn't trying to clean fast, so when everything was done, the time was around 2:30. I went to my room, grabbed my laptop, then went back downstairs with it. I wanted to check how the things I was selling are going, but didn't want to go back to sitting in my room. I sat on the couch with my feet up and laptop on my lap as I started checking my listings. Currently, this was my main source of money, and it was making me a fairly decent amount of cash. The main things I sold were tradable objects from Arcadia such as weapons, armor, potions, enchanted gear, strong gear, gold, and a bunch of other such things. In a week I can generally make between $200 and $700, but sometimes a bit more or less; I think the most I ever made in a week was around a thousand dollars.

Nothing sold since the last time I checked, so I started looking for what I needed to do for school over the summer. I opened my school email and scrolled down until I was around the time summer started. It seemed that I had to read a book, write a paper on it, and do two other packets, one of which was for math, and the other was for history. These shouldn't be too hard, I think the one that'll take the longest will probably be the book, but this is all easily doable before summer ends. That being said, since I have so much time and they all seem fairly easy, I'll get started on them later.

I then started passing the time by catching up on shows/movies and browsing the internet for a while. I made an easy dinner for me and my mom at some point, then went back to browsing online. Another uneventful day.

[Patch Notes]

Finally, the good stuff. The TLDR of the notes says that the second part of the event will be a raid on the Demon Lord's castle and will start in two days, and due to the unexpected and major threat that is the Demon Lord, Enjuhar and Wesphuy have formed an alliance and now players from both sides can play with each other and do quests for the other side (besides main missions). Also, the level cap has been raised from 125 to 150, and at the very bottom of the notes, it said something very interesting. It said, "Also, look forward to announcements of a major upcoming project in the near future."

I don't think I've seen them use that terminology before. Usually, they just say, look forward to what we have planned next, look forward to the next event, or something else like that. Just what are they going to announce? Will they have a huge event or crossover or something? Well, there's not much I can really speculate about unless I wanted to sound like a crazy conspiracy theorist; like, look at his eyes, he's blinking Morse code, and once I translate it I get a riddle that when solved tells me what's going to happen next. They said near future, so it shouldn't be too long until they tell us anyway.

I made my way downstairs to get some breakfast and grab a drink or two before going back up and logging onto Arcadia. I've got some stuff to do today; I can finally get some use out of my stored XP, and should probably start getting prepared to storm the Demon Lord's castle.

I was practically smiling ear to ear. This event is going to be awesome.

Heya! This is just a heads up I'm going to try out shortening the name to just "Arcadia Online"

If you don't like the change, I'd like to hear your opinion about it in the comments so I can make the best decision.
