Hell, he wasn't even at the level to fight against vice captains, but after he absorbs the fragmented soul of Licht. He should be able to grow to the level of a captain.

Regaining his train of thought, Jason chanted the name of the magic spell that would allow him to become stronger, and not really have to worry for his life; "[Soul Magic: Soul Eater.]

As soon as Jason activated the spell, there appeared a gigantic evil looking mouth that licked its tongue creepily, right beside him.

The creepy looking mouth opened its mouth, which seemed to create a vacuum, as the brightly lit fragmented soul of Licht flew towards it.

Now with the fragmented soul of Licht inside of it, the creepy looking mouth chewed savagely with imaginary blood dripping from the corners.

And as soon as the imaginary blood appeared, there seemed to be the anguished cry of a demonic being.

And along with the anguished cries of a demonic being, was the rising magic power of Jason. Which grew powerful enough to affect reality, as there seemed to be a white tiger made out of ice appearing behind him.

While he was growing more powerful, Jason thought about what would happen when Patolli starts his plan to resurrect the elves only for his most anticipated revival to not get revived.

Suddenly, Jason started laughing maniacally. The reason? Just because he wanted to. But what he didn't know is that a certain mana bird was silently watching him, but Jason was wearing a black robe that covered his whole body, including his face.

So The bird couldn't really see who it was
