When the spiritual energy entered Mei Yue's meridians, they started expanding, as his body simultaneously started to become stronger.

Soon a black smelly liquid started to come out from his body.

It was once again the impurities of his body coming out from every pore in his body.

Controlling a large portion of Spirit energy of Mystic Fruit and colliding it against the invisible barrier to break through.

"...Boom!"

A dull explosion came from inside Mei Yue's body, as a result of not having a dense enough spirit energy to break through.

Mei Yue didn't falter for even a moment as there was still some spiritual energy left.

Once again controlling the large amount of spirit energy left from the Mystic Fruit and colliding it with the invisible barrier once more.

"CRACK!"

"...BOOM!"

The sound of the invisible barrier cracking followed as soon as the spirit energy hit it, before a large explosion followed right after, as Mei Yue's body and all the spirit energy in his surroundings rushed into his body like an endless void.

All the meridians and bones of his were constantly being nourished by the spirit energy of Heaven and Earth.

Opened his eyes; Mei Yue's eyes shined brilliantly like a thousand suns.

"First Stage Profound Spirit Realm..." Mei Yue mumbled as he opened and closed his hands.

"If it weren't for that guy accompanying Zhang Hu that day to protect him, I would have forcefully ripped out Zhang Hu's spine and shown it to him before he died. Now I'm back to my original starting position because of them."

Mei Yue calmed his mind as he looked at the state of his body.

Looking at himself, he found out that he was covered by a thick layer of black liquid that was about to solidify on his body.

Even with the impurities gone, Mei Yue still smelled causing him to take a shower.

After taking a shower, and wearing clean clothes, Mei Yue sat on the bed in displeasure, turning his head to the window and seeing the morning sun.

"Tsk... a bunch of cowards not striking while the iron is hot, now I have to wait until night to kill, my body has become stronger once again and I now have the confidence to fight and kill an expert in the Fifth Stage of Profound Spirit Realm, and I want to play with my new toys." Mei Yue sighed as he clicked his tongue in annoyance for having to wait so long.

With nothing better to do, Mei Yue left the inn he was staying at.

Exiting the inn. Mei Yue started walking towards the restaurant.

Entering the restaurant, no one noticed him as he was still wearing the cloak from yesterday.

"Waiter, give me your best dishes and some juice." Just as he entered the restaurant, he saw the waiter and ordered him to serve him his most expensive dishes and some juice as Mei Yue didn't like the taste of wine.

Now due to the sudden influx of wealth Mei Yue didn't need to spend so cheaply anymore, as he had around 44,060 gold coins, if converted into silver coins would be around 4,406,000 silver coins.

Mei Yue's mind started to wander as he could slowly notice his personality changing but had no way to stop it or if it would be good or bad.

Since he was still wearing the cloak the waiter thought it was a new customer, and a wealthy one at that, so he hurriedly greeted Mei Yue and took him up to the second floor of the restaurant, and gave him the window seat before leaving.

Stuck with nothing else to do Mei Yue listened to the other customers. Mei Yue listened to everyone's conversations as he started filtering them out for anything important.

As he was listening his ears twitched slightly.

"Hey, have you heard, the five great sects and the Imperial family spent a large amount of money to invite a Formation master to set up a teleportation array from Night City to Monarch City."

Turning his eyes Mei Yue saw four people talking.

"Yes, I have also heard about this, because of the competition organized by the five great sects, many people are currently traveling from their home city into Monarch City."

"These teleportation arrays were set up for rich people to travel, after all, if you want to directly teleport to Monarch City through the teleportation array, you have to pay 1000 gold coins; thankfully we have enough for all of us so we can go watch."

"True we are indeed lucky but I'm curious about something else, why did they choose Night City instead of our Red Star City?" One of them asked in confusion.

"Sigh you really are spoiled, obviously it's because Night City is the biggest city after Monarch City. So of course they will set up the teleportation array in Monarch City, not in our small Red Star city."

"Besides Night City is only some distance away from our Red Star City, so does it matter where it's set up?"

"True and I heard that the formation master comes from outside the Myriad Dragon Country and is currently a guest of the imperial family so they wouldn't send him to Red Star City."

'Well, this is an interesting development, a formation master outside of our Myriad Dragon Country, along with a teleportation array which is convenient for me." Mei Yue thought with a smile.

Mei Yue's knowledge of arrays is rather shallow but due to reading about the teleportation formation and other formations from the library in the Azure Sky Sect, he knew about them, though he had never seen them or used them. Now he could use it, for the first time to make his travels easier.

After eating his fill and listening to other useless chatter, Mei Yue stood up and paid his bill then returned to the inn and entered his room.

The light from the candles lit up the spacious and clean room. Alone, this room gives one the feeling of emptiness and loneliness but it brought tranquility to his heart.

Mei Yue sat on the bed, he then extended his hand as a long thin sword-like black feather appeared in his palm. The feather had a sharp edge and a deadly blade as the end of the feather fit perfectly inside Mei Yue's delicate hands. Mei Yue then started coating the feather with blue ice covering the fact it was a feather perfectly but still kept its deadly properties, in the end, the black and blue crystal katana remained in his hand before he put it onto his lap.

Mei Yue then closed his eyes as he started circulating the Nine Fallen Angel Myriad Cultivation Manual. In the blink of an eye, half of the night's hours passed. The candlestick on the table was completely burnt to ashes. The last bit of the spark went out, emitting a wisp of grey smoke.

At this moment a group of people wearing black clothes, as their faces covered, were silently moving in the direction of Mei Yue.

Mei Yue's operation was just about to begin.

"Kekeke!"

Mei Yue's eyes flickered open, as a horrific laugh escaped his mouth while a smile appeared on his face as he grabbed the sword on his lap.

"BANG!"

Suddenly door was kicked open and a few people rushed to the bed. Without waiting they raised the weapons in their hands and swung at the bed.

"Halt!" one of the men said loudly as he found no one on the bed.

All the men were stuck there in confusion looking at the empty bed.

"Kekeke..." Suddenly all the men heard dreadful laughter before a swooshing sound flowed through the air.

Following the sound, everyone turned to stare at one of their men.

"What?" Noticing everyone looking at him, he was confused.

"...Shlick!"

Suddenly everyone surrounding the men had their eyes pop out of their sockets in shock as they saw a thin dark red line appear on his neck before his head slowly slid down his neck a few seconds later, as blood started splurging out his neck.

"Thud" A soft thud reverberated through the room as the head softly hit the floor dying the floor a dark red, while the eyes of the dead man still held confusion not knowing he died until it was too late.

"Kekeke, how fun~"

A peal of fiendish laughter floated through the room once more.
