Jason was driving his car towards Liam's mansion, lost in his thoughts

He is thinking about whether their current situation is linked to the intuition what Mr. Albert felt, if that's the case they are in big problem, he is sure that a big family is involved in this situation which makes him more nervous,

- P.O.V of Jason ---

"are both things related, no I must be overthinking but still I had to be careful"

unconsciously I increased the car's speed to reach my destination early

AFTER 30 min of driving I am standing in front of a huge mansion this huge mansion belongs to my friend which I had visited numerous times and now I didn't even need to knock before entering, even guards didn't stop me.

I walked to the door and opened it the first person I notice is an old servant Mr. Jeffry. An A-ranked ability user.

'Good evening Mr. Jeffry, is Liam home?' I wished him but upon noticing me his eyes shot open like he is caught red-handed doing something wrong

'ah good evening, Master Jason, yes young master is in his room' replied the old servant hesitatingly

'it's okay, but is Alice also here' I asked to confirm my doubt

'No, mam already left 1 hour ago' Gotcha

"Something is going on he is stopping me from meeting Liam, Alice said she never came here today, Liam's secretory inform she is with Liam, what's going on exactly?"

'He knows you are here but don't worry I will handle here, you leave' and he throws me out of the storeroom giving the signal to run but my curious and suspicious a** (signs of scientists) tell me to go in his room and I threw my bag towards Jeffry, ignoring his advice I went towards Liam's room but before I can open the door

*don't worry dad I will handle this issue, oh don't take tension of Jason I will handle him… I will not let anybody know about this experiment* and (erotic noises)

A faint conversation between Liam and his dad shocked me

" Why are they hiding this, results are millions of lives can be saved"

I kicked the door and yelled

' Why are you doing this, this experiment can save lives didn't you want that?'

Then I noticed along with Liam there is Alice both naked lying on the bed inappropriately this broke my heart, tears blurred my eyes, my chest became heavy only a single word escaped

'Jason, don't you have manners of knocking before entering in someone? Did you listen to my phone call? , come here' said Liam with a smirk on his face and playing with Alice's hair. I already have an idea about this but still seeing this is painful

'why did you did this?' With tears in my eyes, I asked

'are you asking about the experiment or Alice n me, don't bother you see your experiment may harm many people like us, if gates can be closed without our help we will lose our authority, our power then no one will respect us apart from that we are given ordered by them'

'By whom' I asked while taking steps back

'ohh forget I ever mentioned about them to you, and forget about the experiment or what happened today or you have to kill you because only you have all details of the experiment' said Liam while having a wicked smile on his face

I tried to touch my astral band tied on the left hand but the instant I moved my right hand to do so I felt pain in my left hand And saw my fingers on the floor and hand loosely hanging with small flesh (scream)

'i warned you Mf' shouted Liam after he severed my hand

Then a kick and I smashed into the wall like a rag doll, I vomited mouthful blood,

"for future, I must stand and inform this to the world, I just had to go out of that door"

With the help of a chair, I stood but I felt the pain I have never felt in my stomach I saw a sword coming out of my stomach I turned back and saw the love of my life holding the sword ready to take my life, this broke my spirit, my soul, I fell on the floor losing all hopes

covered in my blood, my eyes felt heavy, I can feel blood oozing out of my body, pain spreading

Than I thought

"Albert is talking about this, haha I entered in room trusting Alice will protect me, now she is the one who gave me the most fatal wound, what an irony haha,"

I asked them why they did this already knowing the answer, each word from their mouth broke, my spirit.

Hearing their answers I thought.

"Are they playing with me all those years, All those happy memories are fake, I can't escape they are too strong? "

'Plss stop, plss let me live, plss ahh plss stop' I begged

They are laughing while I am tormenting hearing their laugh something took over my mind, various thoughts flooded my mind how I can kill them most painfully if I left this mansion alive, I could feel my blood boil in anger my mind lost control I asked what should I do but I can't hear anything, a wicked smile covered my face than Alice attacked my eye but nothing felt and then everything went dark my eyes closed.

"This is the end" I accept my Fate

I heard only one voice in my mind that is not of Liam or Alice

When Jason threw his bag towards Jeffry, Jeffry felt strange, the bag is radiating astral energy, so he checked the bag and found a device, this device when activated emit light made up of astral energy this may not work S rank hunter but this is modified by Jason so it may not harm his enemy but will blind them for minimum 5 min. And Jeffry understood what Jason want's

'He knows he is playing with the fire still, He came but did he know Alice can also harm him' thought Jeffry.

After Albert informed him about intuition Jason took this bag for his and Alice's safety on the advice of Albert he suspected Liam but never Alice, Alice's betrayal is an anomaly/error from his behalf's calculation.

When both were torturing Jason, Jeffry had knowledge of what was happening and at right time he threw Jason's device, and taking advantage of the situation he picked unconscious Jason and escapes that mansion.

Looking towards Jason's condition he gives the command to A. I to check his vitals and heal him.

They crushed Jason's one hand, punctured abdomen, wounded one eye, broke his ribs and bones.

Looking at Jason's mess Jeffry sighed

'oh god, what have they done to this little boy, MFS would have killed him if I was not there ' said Jeffry nervously while accelerating the car towards MOUNTAINS of NEVADA in the opposite direction of the mansion, to escape their death.

when Jason regained his senses he gets shocked to be alive, he had a hopeless face

Jeffry informed him of the aftermath and scolded him for his foolishness because of which he may have lost his life, but Jason didn't reply he kept looking out of the window expressionlessly he is thinking about everything that happened today, a person he loved more than his life betrayed him, his friends shattered his dream. Sitting in the car he looked like a dead person, like a broken soul. They are driving in mountain range through the forest parallel to a canyon

Today he learned a lesson that in this cruel society everybody is a stranger, only power is the friend

In his mind, a voice is continuously echoing this voice is only saying

"What a pity, only if you were strong you could have everything"

Again and again and again same sentence repeating in his mind, frustrated from this he asked Jeffry

' Jeffry am I useless, should I die'

Jeffry replied ' you are not a useless boy. Society is cruel and you are too good for society, Don't talk about death

' Should I take revenge?' He asked

'Don't become like them, revenge will bring only more deaths, punishment is another word for their crimes, keep your humanity alive' replied the old guy.

Jason closed his eyes to get some rest but he felt something warm approaching him he opened his eyes and saw a glowing ball of fire having size larger than truck approaching them, from far away it may look like a natural meteor but Jason and Jeffry know that this is an attack, a powerful one whose target is them, they saw their death approaching Jeffry dropped the steering of car and covered Jason's small, slender with himself, the car went berserk then

The explosion is so big that the whole mountain disappeared and fire enveloped the whole mountain range. But just a before fireball hit the mountain car fell in the canyon

In the darkness of night fireball was like a sun ascending from heaven on earth and just a sec later the whole mountain bathed into the fire.

In the mansion, Liam has a strange smile while looking outside the window towards the burning mountain while having a drink with Alice

'Did you do this?' asked Alice hesitatingly

'you don't have to know who did that, just enjoy your drink' replied Liam having a strange expression

Yes, that's fear Alice felt strange this is her first time seeing Liam so scared, she has cleared 100+ gates with him yet she never saw him scared not even when he fought S rank gate's owner.

On the cliff of one mountain, a smoke appeared and manifested into a man having a mask on his face and wearing torn clad, looking down on burning mountain and falling car
