VOL 1; CH 1 LIFE BEFORE

In the darkness, his senses are fading, he is still feeling pain in his abdomen, He involuntarily stretched his hand upwards, yet he wasn't able to grasp he can't feel his body anymore. The dreadful feeling of falling into an endless abyss caused him to feel more tensed and scared. Jason felt more fear as he felt his consciousness gradually fading away. For him, this is the END

A pure soul has forgotten everything it stood for.

He mumbled.

"Only if I had power, a strong ability I don't have to die like a dog"

" What sin did I commit?, I only wanted a simple life," memories started flooding in his mind.

****Splash****

Jason felt the warmth he didn't felt for a long time, warmth like his mother's embrace. Is it death?

Then...

A Mysterious voice echoed in this unknown place

'ahh you want power, what will you do with that'(echo)

" Who are you? , is it the afterlife, Are you god?" He asked.

This voice sounded like of an angel in the darkness a voice that gives a feeling of warmth but is still filled with loneliness

'Haha no, I am not, just answer my question' voice replied.

''if I get another chance..., I will live my life a different way''

Argh!

...

' Hmm, Interesting let's see … Hahaha'. Voice murmured as it was fading away.

As the voice of that man is fading.

Jason's mind started aching, he felt like someone is pulling his mind out of his head. This pain spreads in his whole body. He may not feel his body's presence, but the pain is clearly felt. Darkness spread in front of his eyes then this appeared in front of the vision.

PRIME TIMELINE

'Good morning, Sir! ' A guard greeted Jason who Just stepped into the Lab hurriedly carrying a suitcase in his one hand and a coffee in the other.

Jason Greeted him back before Entering the working Area.

'Here he is!' A middle-aged man shouted pointing a pen towards Jason.

Hearing his boss's shout he halted his steps as he looked at him. His boss was coming towards him.

'Please, God saves me from his wrath' Jason prayed in his mind.

Step! Step! Step!

'Good morning, Sir!' Jason greeted Mr. Albert with Enthusiasm with a large smile.

Seeing Jason's expression cooled down Mr. Albert's anger, but he still acted like he was Angry.

'Good morning! You little bastard! How many times I have to say please come at the time' Mr. Albert fumed while Jason was faking his serious expression.

Jason knew that Mr.Albert was not furious with him, He knew Mr. Albert for nearly 2 years and understood him very well.

Mr. Albert was an A-ranked awakened, warm-hearted human and Head researcher in this Lab. More than that he was a fatherly figure to Jason.

'Sorry sir, I will come at a time tomorrow' Jason replied.

Jason giggled.

Jason's smile was so beautiful and innocent that it could melt even the heart of stone.

'I Know you have a very beautiful reason to remain home, but work is also important' Said Mr. Albert tapping that Jason's shoulder.

'He he' Jason chuckled.

'Now do your work, you are already late' Albert ordered as he returned to his work.

Jason was 19 years old orphan, an E rank awakened with No abilities. He was nearly 5'6 tall with a common face and slender built. He is weaker than even a normal human was Jason's only disadvantage due to which he had to face a lot of hardships However he was intelligent, diligent, and ambitious, which made his life easier and successful. He got a friend, a beautiful lover, and a job.

He was an INTERN at "WHIRUS INTERNATIONAL LABS" that belongs to one of the big 6 families.

Jason walked into his working space while sipping on his coffee and greeted his colleagues already present there. Today they were going to get the result of a months-long Experiment and Jason was the Head of this experiment.

'So let's start' Jason cheered as he took off his coat and took out a crystal from the locker.

That Crystal was a core of S ranked creature, "a noble ranked Mugei".

He put that core in a chamber and sat down.

Murmur...

Step! Step! Step!

The lab was felt with enthusiasm and nervousness though the AC was running still everyone was sweating.

Tap.

Someone tapped Jason's shoulder reacting to which Jason turned to look.

'Hey Jason, Do you have a sec?' Jerry, a colleague asked Jason in low voice.

Jason nodded and walked away from the desk with Jerry towards the corner of the room.

'Hey Jason, Don't get mad ok, I saw your girl late at night with Liam' Jerry murmured to Jason.

Jerry was 23 old ability user, He always tries to bully Jason without any reason. Perhaps he envies Jason because of Jason's high-ranked Friends, But right now Jerry was not joking he had a serious expression of concern.

'So what!' Jason said to Jerry.

The air between them became heavy. Jerry was staring at Jason.

'Bro don't tell me you didn't suspect your girlfriend a little even after those news articles and all, I saw them yesterday…' before Jerry could finish someone smacked his head.

'Jerry what are you saying!' A girl said after slapping Jerry on his head.

Maria, another Colleague hit Jerry with an elbow before grabbing his hand.

'Hey Jason, don't think too much, you know he is psycho' saying this she looked at Jerry, who was standing there holding his head.

'You come with me' Maria said before she left dragging Jerry with her leaving Jason in his thoughts.

Silence swept over the Lab, everyone was standing like they were frozen meanwhile Jason was lost in his thoughts.

'Hooray! Yesss!'

chatter! Shout!

Celebration!

A loud shout brings Jason into the real world, blinking his eyes he looked around and saw all his colleagues were celebrating and shouting.

Jason looked at the large screen displaying a graph, figures, and few rapidly changing numbers.

'Huh!' Jason blurted while rubbing his eyes in shock before typing something on the computer.

Tears blurred his Vision, emotion flooded his brain. Cleaning his tears with his wrist. He looked at Mr. Albert standing next to him who was stretching his hands to congratulate him. Jason returned a handshake.

'I did it Mom and Dad' Murmured Jason to himself while touching a ring he wears as a locket. This Ring of his mother and chain of his father were the only things he had to remember his parents.

He fulfilled the promise he did to his parents on their graves. His parents lost their lives to the gate 10 years ago.

Maybe now everyone would recognize him as himself rather than from his friends. In this society where power rules Humans like Jason have a life similar to hell.

'I will Email these results to HQ and get the permission for the next stage.' Shouted Mr. Albert from the front.

Everyone cheered and opened champagne and a drink. Mr. Albert walked near Jason.

'Jason comes in my Cabin.' Albert murmured in Jason's ears.

Jason along with Albert left the working space. Jason was speculating why Albert called him in office. Entering in Office Mr. Albert sat on his chair and signaled Jason to sit. Jason waited for a few minutes while Albert sends an Email to HQ.

Click! Click!..

'You know my Ability Jason right?' Mr. Albert said while looking at Jason.

Jason nodded in reply.

Mr. Albert's ability was PREMONITION, Which means he could have visions or sense if something was going to happen.

'A few minutes ago I got the feeling that something was going to happen, and you are related to it, Feeling was short, so that's what I can conclude' Murmured Albert in a serious tone as he stood up.

Jason tries to comprehend, but he can't understand what was going to happen, He believes in Albert's Ability as in his hunter's days he saved hundreds of lives.

[God have mercy on this child] Mr. Albert thought in his mind.

'Don't think too much, now enjoy with others. It's all because of you we could succeed in ex.....' But before Mr. Albert could complete

Shouts and cries echoed in the whole building.

Jason and Albert shot outside towards the Gallery, Where commotion was taking place.

Mr. Albert flung opened the door and walked in along with Jason who was huffing and panting.

Huff… Huff...

The first thing Jason saw was more than 20 officers standing next to his worried colleagues, One Colleague was holding his bleeding arm.

The Head officer with a grin walked in front.

'This experiment was declared Illegal, we are here to format All files, If anyone resisted we could take action' shouted Officer before giving orders to his subordinate to get the Computer.

'What!' Jason blurted with widened Eyes.

'No! Get out of this lab!' Shouted Mr.Albert as he tried to stop them from entering in Working space.

Jason's mind went blank on hearing officer, his legs gave up, and he fell on the ground with tears. (he was facing an anxiety attack)

'No! You can't do this!' Jason shouted.

Bang.... bang...

Bullet shots echoed.

Thud...

In darkness

A person sitting on a throne with a tired face, looking down on a person bowing in front of him.

The bowed person is his servant, fear can be seen in his eyes

'MASTER, he is not even in this Astral cluster, give us next order' while trembling.

The person sitting on a throne said in a rough angry voice

' Move to next one then'
