32 Life is Priceless

"Alright, the show's over; time to go." It was Richard, the man Clark had encountered before.

"You're here too!" Clark and Daniel spoke simultaneously.

"Mission accomplished. I planned to take a few days of rest here, but after witnessing this spectacle, it's time to leave. I won't meddle in your affairs!" Richard's device behind him accelerated, lifting him a considerable distance upward, clearly indicating his intentions.

"I'll be taking a submarine later," Richard said to Daniel, regardless of his response, and then fell silent.

"Fine!" Daniel agreed directly.

Without caring whether Charles was in immediate danger, Daniel walked over. "I'm taking this guy. If you don't agree, I don't mind taking a corpse. But if it comes to that, I won't hesitate to destroy this place."

Clark and Daniel faced off, and Daniel, indifferent, continued walking towards them. The dagger in Clark's hand remained tightly gripped, but he didn't make any further moves.

"I can let you take him, but on one condition—I have to go with you to ensure you leave. Once you're gone, I'll release him!" Clark shouted loudly, presenting his final condition.

"No, you can't go!" Emma Kensington objected. It seemed like a one-way trip!

"He he, fine! If you're not afraid, come along!" Daniel apparently didn't expect Clark to make such a demand. He waved his hand, and a black device landed horizontally, immediately unfolding like a carpet.

"You two, get on!" After saying this, Daniel walked to the harbor, jumped into the water, and swam towards the Ark.

"Don't go!" Emma Kensington wanted to stop them, but Clark had already walked to the water's edge with Charles.

"It's okay, don't worry!" Clark smiled, not knowing if he was reassuring her or himself.

Emma Kensington wanted to say something, but didn't know what to say. Not going meant the Ark would continue its bombardment, and everyone here would die. Going meant Clark would be in serious danger, and his survival was uncertain.

"Ding! The second beauty is showing a slight affection towards the host. Granting a special reward package!" The system's voice echoed once again.

"Ha ha, looks like being in crisis doesn't necessarily mean it's all bad for me!" Clark laughed a little.

"Rewards for the grand package are as follows: first, half an hour of underwater free movement; second, one instance of mind control; third, 60% restoration of your charm."

Clark and Charles stepped onto the black device simultaneously, which quickly transported them to the side of the Ark.

"It seems there are benefits to picking up beautiful women. Who says relying on women is embarrassing? Bring me more beauties!" Clark thought to himself, chuckling.

Once on the Ark, they immediately caught a whiff of the scent of blood. Inside the cabin, several bodies lay on the ground, surrounded by fresh blood. A graceful woman in black was strolling inside, seemingly dancing, completely unfazed by the discomfort brought by the corpses.

"You're the man who willingly came here to die?" Ava said with a smile. Her voice was less sharp than before, but still unsettling.

"The guy upstairs, come down quickly; we don't like waiting!" Ava shouted outside the cabin.

Richard descended directly, walked to Clark, glanced at him without saying a word, and kept his distance, just like Daniel and his sister.

The Ark closed its cabin door, submerged, entered a tunnel, and headed outside.

"Now you can let me go!" Charles gritted his teeth, hating Clark to the extreme but not daring to erupt.

"Not yet. If I let you go, I'm afraid I won't survive!" Clark chuckled. He wasn't that foolish.

"Little brother, do you think you might be more interesting than those guys just now?" Ava said playfully. At some point, her entire body had pressed against Clark's back. She extended her tongue, as if smelling Clark's scent.

"Something's off about you!" Ava exclaimed.

"Why do you have the smell of zombies on you?" Ava extended her tongue, licking carefully, confirming her judgment.

Clark was also surprised. When did this woman get behind him?

Clark quickly tried to move aside to shake her off, but Ava seemed to stick to him. No matter how he moved, she remained tightly pressed against his back.

"Does this guy have some kind of secret?" Daniel, who was currently controlling the Ark, heard Ava's words and became interested. He directly set a program, stood up, and walked towards Clark.

At this moment, Clark finally saw Daniel's appearance. The man had several grim scars on his face, exuding an aura of violence, as if he had experienced countless battles.

"First, find a way to save me!" Charles, seeing the actions of the Daniel siblings, as if seeing a glimmer of hope, excitedly shouted, "I paid a hefty price to hire you to help me. Now that I'm injured, won't you lend a hand?"

The Daniel siblings smiled but did not pay any attention to Charles.

Life is priceless, and at times like these, those with more power have the authority to speak!

"Release him, and let me thoroughly check you to see what good things you have," Ava whispered into Clark's ear, her mouth close to his ear, her voice like a bewitching melody echoing in his mind, making his hands involuntarily loosen.

"No!" Clark bit his tongue, waking up, but pretending to have listened to Ava's words, gently releasing his grip.

Daniel and Ava both smirked contemptuously.

However, immediately, their expressions changed drastically because a knife was thrust towards Ava from behind.

"Damn bastard!" Ava could only take two steps back to distance herself from Clark and avoid the blade.

After repelling Ava, Clark tightly held onto Charles. This human shield was too effective, and he couldn't afford to lose it easily.

"Daring to wield a knife at my sister, well done, you've successfully aroused my murderous intent!" Daniel spoke as he walked towards Clark. The device on his body immediately enveloped him entirely, including his head, resembling a black astronaut.

"Bro, don't kill him, torture him slowly!" Ava's device also activated, making her entire body semi-transparent; unless you looked closely, she was nearly invisible.

The siblings prepared to attack Clark one after the other.

"Are you not afraid that I'll kill him?" Clark threatened, holding onto Charles.

"We only promised to ensure his safety within the fortress. Now that we've left the fortress, the agreement is completed. His life and death are no longer my concern," Daniel bluntly stated.
