The new store

... and the last is technological products," The system continued as Jason got excited about checking out the new store.

Jason immediately opened the system store UI had changed into a much simpler UI with a search option on the top and then the items were listed utility wise.

Jason took a sharp intake of breath as he was startled by the thing listed in the store, there were new powerful weapons like mana activated rifle and snipers, and there were many weapons which had both technology and mana capabilities integrated to give the weapon amazing firepower. There were things like Collapsible tent, Assault vehicle, autonomous gun turrets… He was having a hard time digesting the fact that he could buy these things anytime and use these to obliterate his enemies.

Jason soon calmed down and adopted a thinking expression on his face as he rubbed his chin with his right hand, he was thinking about how to utilize the store properly

"Will the kills made by the autonomous weapons be counted under my kills." Jason asked with a thoughtful smile on his face.

"No, but you will get about 10% of the coins you would get if you had killed the enemy by yourself. This 10% is only applicable if it is an autonomous weapon, it would not work with simple weapons like guns. And If you want to set up a base for your team then I recommend you use the system manufacture feature instead of buying option, with the manufacture option you can provide the materials needed for the item and the system will manufacture it for you at 25% of the buying cost."

A smile suddenly bloomed on Jason's face as he realized the implications of the manufacturing feature and of the fact that he would get coins to form the kills his autonomous weapons make.

Jason had an amazing idea related to autonomous weapons which would streamline his coins earning process but there was a great hurdle in that, the cheapest strong enough autonomous weapon which was a machine gun turret cost about 500k coins.

Jason had guessed that there will be other system users whom he might meet in the future if he survives this apocalypse, and he also had to visit the arenas created by the high gods as they were supposed to give humans the necessary edge in fighting with the invaders. He did not really know about the intentions of the human high gods but both his future self and Ivy had asked him to visit them for increasing his strength.

Jason had to also think about how he will advance further as he had to reach level 20 without his major abilities. One thing he had thought about was that while personal strength mattered a lot, fighting with a powerful team would drastically lower the burden on his shoulders and he would not be forced into a do or die combat situation always.

"The system told me that it would be possible to use mana beads to make something which would increase the percentage of evolution to 100% when I reach level 10." Jason asked as he remembered his conversation with the system.

"Yes there is an ability that unlocks at level 10 called Mana manipulation which enables you to convert/manipulate mana into different forms and it would enable you to extract mana from mana beads and remove the impurities, condense some mana beads to create a purified mana bead which would have a hundred per cent evolution rate. It is a unique and versatile ability, but it requires the use of a mana circuit to operate and I would recommend you to choose a different ability that does not require the use of mana circuits. As for the purification part, you can use the store to unlock the mana purifier tool to create a weaker version of the purified mana bead you would be able to create form the ability. This tool can purify mana beads, but it cannot condense the mana inside it and nor can it combine mana beads. So, while the mana beads purified by this tool would remove the chances of going berserk, the chances of evolving will fall down to 10%" Ivy explained in detail trying to be as helpful as possible.

Jason on the other hand grimaced as frying his mana circuits was proving to be quite a nuance.

"Can you tell me which abilities would be unlocked this time?" Jason asked as he thought about choosing the most suited ability for his survival right now.

"They will all be unlocked right after you wake up so it's better you form the system about these abilities," Ivy answered.

"What I want to talk about is your rune tattoos, you have drawn quite complex rune formations on both your forearms even I can't properly judge their functionalities. They gave you quite a power boost back then." Ivy asked in an impressed tone.

"It's nothing fancy, when I got the basic knowledge about Dwarven runes all I got was all the symbols in the language and the knowledge about their basic grammatical structure. What fascinated me was the structure and the ability of these runes to interact with mana. It worked like an amalgamation of a spoken language like English and the programming languages used in computers. It was almost amazing to see such a language with which we can both converse and use to interact with mana. I then thought of trying to use programming concepts to create a rune formation for me that would be triggered when I activate it with my mana and voila it worked like a charm." Jason said with a fascinated look in his eyes. The system had given him barebones information about runes and had not given him any information on how to form complex rune formation, but this became a blessing for him as it helped him in integrating his programming concepts in it.

What Jason had created from the runes were two separate formations, the one on his right arm forms a whirlpool of mana and sucks mana from the surroundings inside his body and sends it to the other formation on his left arm and the one on his left arm acts as a compressor for the mana which compresses the mana in a feedback loop which continues to compress mana until he cuts the supply of mana from the cluster. The compressed mana is then released into his body which gives him an immense power boost based on the compression ratio.

This is quite a simple formation of runes but there is a major drawback in this type of formation as the mana he compressed was not his own and was from nature which was unrefined this caused rejection between his mana and the compressed mana from outside causing a cellular breakdown in his body. So, unfortunately, he cannot use the whirlpool mana formation but he can still use the compression formation to compress his own mana with a few tweaking to the formation and this would enable him to have a quick and short outburst of power while fighting his enemies.

"Well it's now time for you to wake up, I bet you'll like the system reward for the level 10 quest." Ivy said as Jason felt his surroundings slowly fade out as he started to wake up form a three weeklong coma.
